Way too cramped. Nice server but kitchen messed up sending out right me
One of my favs in the city. Love the atmosphere and the chicken parm is killer!!
Always nice food and good service at Cesario’s
Although the food was tasty, the manager is terrible. Do not allow reservations that cannot be handled and don’t blame it on the computer system or patrons. Our 7:15pm reservation did not get seated until 8:12pm and that was after the manager tried to squeeze six of us on a four person table claiming the reservation was for five people. Not only was that a lie but I had confirmation for six people, called the evening before and stated it when I arrived early at 6:45pm.
Hollow apologies from the manager who also tried to squeeze our three year old into a high chair to squeeze us into the four person table.
Never going back there.
Service: nice staff and quick service. We arrived early to our reservation and they seated us early.
Drinks: reasonably priced bottles
Food: very below mediocre. We ordered the clams and mussels as apps, then Spaghetti and Prawn and Risotto with Shrimp for entrees. Mussels were ok. Spaghetti was way too sweet and Risotto was so so dry.
Cozy spot with nicely prepared traditional Italian food. Because the restaurant is so small, the wait staff is limited to only a couple of people. That can mean slow service.
The food was good but the restaurant space is so so small. They put tables everywhere one would fit in the one room. No privacy at all.
Nice classic Italian food! Small place that's always full because the locals know it's good. Attentive service and excellent specialties. Had the truffle gnocchi. It was superb.
Very nice restaurant with great food and service. Only disappointment was red sauce was not deep and rich.
Polenta lasagna was not hot and had to much cheese. Veal dry wouldn’t recommend.
What a great local find. Food was amazingly fresh and service very attentive. Carpaccio was the best.
Place is authentic and the food was very good
Wonderful meal for friend and family.
Great dining experience! Food was amazing!
We went back for the food but going later was a big mistake. It was much too crowded with only 6 inches between tables. Good pasta and salads but the noise and crowds really impacted the experience. Go early even on a week night.
Food is good. Our waitress is very arrogant. Air conditioning is not enough.
Nice service but food was without flavor.. my veal picatta had no taste to it
Great little place.
Our salads were very good (pear salad & Caesar salad).
I had chicken piccata; hubby had the special—chicken Marsala w/ sausage & vegetables.
My dish was very good; he said his was the best food he had in SF & we ate @ some nice restaurants.
Cesario’s is small, but we didn’t feel overly close to our dining neighbors.
Dessert was delectable (limoncello marscapone cake, which was light & yummy.)
Wine by the glass was decent. Next time we’ll order a bottle.
If you’re dining during the busiest/ prime hours, make a reservation.
We’ll be back to Cesario’s!
Standard Italian restaurant.
The food was wonderful however I made reservations for a party of 1 - traveling for work. The reviews said it was a very busy restaurant so went a little early just in case but still waited. I don’t mind if the food is going to be that good. The manager kept putting me off while a table for 2 by the window was open. Eventually I was sat but at a table by the kitchen which is blocked by a booth. Horrible! So the food is great I would just recommend if you’re a party of 1 or 2 specify you don’t want the table by the kitchen!
I really enjoyed this dish that was really different from any I've had before-it was very good. Mozzarella was not burrata but otherwise OK. Cheesecake was not NY and gooey; couldn't finish it. So mixed review.
We didn’t stay for dinner.
Reservations run 30 mins late so we left.
We had to wait to be seated slightly past our reservation time, because the restaurant was very busy.
They sent us to hotel lobby next door to wait to be seated (restaurant is very small). Good thing I came back to check on our seating 10 minutes later - I fear they might have seated whoever was waiting at the desk. Otherwise everything was wonderful, and delicious!
Great atmosphere and food.
Staff were very helpful.
The Maitre de is always welcoming and has that rare ability to be unobtrusive, yet there when you need him.
We always start with Carpaccio. Fresh and perfect for 2.
The specials are always “special”...Truffle Gnocchis and Spinach Pasta with Bay Scallops were both savory and clean plate worthy!
A nice Wine-by-the-glass menu makes it easy for 2 people to pair wines and courses.
Brat little family run place with great selection of
Good neighborhood style Italian restaurant.
Service was great and food was incredibly delicious.
So small! Doesn’t match the demand but the food is amazing!!!
Quaint good food friendly service would definitely return next time I’m in town
Reservation taken on time. Great food. Great service. Very accommodating. Caesar salad was tasty. Main dishes were large and delicious! House cabernet was decent. A little noisy as it is a small place. Sadly, we didn’t have dessert but there were some great options.
Their food is superb. Our go to restaurant when we are in San Francisco
First try since Cesario's was around the corner from my hotel. Food was fantastic. I would recommend Cesario's to anyone who wants authentic Italian. Cesario's reminds me of two of my favorite NYC small restaurants.
It was a delicious and romantic dinner. Service was attentive but not annoying. Food was prompt and delicious! Will definitely go again!
Have eaten at Cesario’s numerous times and have never been disappointed!
Excellent service. Great atmosphere.
The lasagna was outstanding and the costs are extremely reasonable.
I have eaten here in the past and had a good meal, not so much on Saturday. Service was slow and not so sure I was served "gluten free" pasta as I ordered.
Excellent food and service. Only downside was cramped space with tables placed close together.
