The Maitre de is always welcoming and has that rare ability to be unobtrusive, yet there when you need him.
We always start with Carpaccio. Fresh and perfect for 2.
The specials are always “special”...Truffle Gnocchis and Spinach Pasta with Bay Scallops were both savory and clean plate worthy!
A nice Wine-by-the-glass menu makes it easy for 2 people to pair wines and courses.
Brat little family run place with great selection of
Good neighborhood style Italian restaurant.
Service was great and food was incredibly delicious.
So small! Doesn’t match the demand but the food is amazing!!!
Quaint good food friendly service would definitely return next time I’m in town
Reservation taken on time. Great food. Great service. Very accommodating. Caesar salad was tasty. Main dishes were large and delicious! House cabernet was decent. A little noisy as it is a small place. Sadly, we didn’t have dessert but there were some great options.
Their food is superb. Our go to restaurant when we are in San Francisco
First try since Cesario's was around the corner from my hotel. Food was fantastic. I would recommend Cesario's to anyone who wants authentic Italian. Cesario's reminds me of two of my favorite NYC small restaurants.
It was a delicious and romantic dinner. Service was attentive but not annoying. Food was prompt and delicious! Will definitely go again!
Have eaten at Cesario’s numerous times and have never been disappointed!
Excellent service. Great atmosphere.
The lasagna was outstanding and the costs are extremely reasonable.
I have eaten here in the past and had a good meal, not so much on Saturday. Service was slow and not so sure I was served "gluten free" pasta as I ordered.
Excellent food and service. Only downside was cramped space with tables placed close together.
Cesario's is in a good locale for attending the theatre in San Francisco and the friendly staff is always there to make one feel totally welcome. I have enjoyed this restaurant for several years.
Just not recommend the veal dishes. Dry, not enough sauce and over cooked.
Wonderful Italian restaurant in the Union Square area. Food is superb, staff are very pleasant and helpful, ambiance is intimate and cozy.
A great place for conversation. We didn't feel rushed, food and service were excellent.
Always enjoy Cesario’s
Small dining area but outstanding menu. Will be going back next time I'm in San Francisco
Delicious Italian food in a cozy downtown corner location. I've been twice, alone, and both times the food was excellent. Service is prompt and polite. Flavor profiles for all the dishes I had were right where I like them! Always a stop when I'm in San Francisco.
Old and musty. Don't go here if you have allergies.
The food was good. The servers were needlessly snooty and did not like the fact that we had kids in our group. It is definitely a very cozy spot.
Small restaurant with a personal touch. Food very good. Flavorful and simply enjoyable
First time here. Very nice, place is small but not uncomfortable. Food was great, service was as goo as could be!
I enjoy the food at Cesario’s every visit. It is one of my favorite places to dine in San Francisco.
At there for lunch. Food was authentic, fresh and delicious.
Good pasta carbonara and ravioli with lobster. Linguine vongole not special. Good dessert crema catalana.
Fantastic food, lobster ravioli was amazing. Excellent value, service was 5 star
The layout of the restaurant is too cramped. Didn't like that you were eating in close proximity to strangers and hearing there conversations. Not ideal for going on a date with your partner. Food was tasty and staff were friendly.
Outstanding food. Will go again for sure. Easy good food.
Cesario's is my favorite Italian restaurant in SF. I always get the lobster ravioli as there is plenty of lobster in those little pillows. My dining partner had the lamb shank and she said it was really delicious.
This was my last meal in San Francisco before heading back home. The whole experience was lovely. I had the Lobster Ravioli. It was wonderful. My husband has the Vegetable Lasagna with Polenta. He thought it was great. Service was outstanding and the Lemoncello Marscapone Cake at the end was freshly made , it was not overtly sweet and had a nice refreshing lemon taste.
I was able to enjoy a full course lunch, talk and watch the world walk by in downtown San Fran. Thank you for a great experience and wonderful food.
Quaint restaurant with great food. Old style - you feel like you're in Italy!
Somehow Open Table got the reservations wrong but the staff worked hard to get us a table.
Our meals were at both ends of the spectrum: My saltimboca was excellent! Wife's caprese salad was poor - tomatoes had large hard white centers. Coming from NJ with excellent tomatoes at this time of year, she expected much better.
Great place to have dinner and just relax and enjoy your visit there and excellent food :)
I had read previous reviews and noted comments of minute and small, but without meaning to offend I’m British so I’m use to small compared to an American. I also read a review that they gave away a table when someone was 5 minutes late ...... well when you get there you will understand why, so don’t be late. Book it on open table and be there 5 minutes early. I thought the whole evening was a joy. A cosy restaurant with great food and great wine at a price you didn’t wince about when the bill came leaving you happy to pay a nice tip to hard working staff. My only recommendation is that the restaurant ditch the table by the front door at peak times as if you sat there it would only be an unpleasant experience and the cause of a poor review, happily we were in a fantastic window seat and had a great evening.
Cesario's was just what I was looking for for dinner! An intimate setting a little fancier than the average restaurant but not too expensive and the service was amazing! Definitely going back!
