Cesare At The Beach Ratings and Reviews
Loved this place - service was great, food was fabulous and prices were reasonable. Everything we ordered was terrific: pasta trio, lasagna. Fettuccine. Ravioli bruschetta. All fresh and delicious.
We are discerning and picky - we eat at the best Italian restaurants in the northeast - but we loved this place.
Five veal dishes, Marsala, Parmesan, and three Piccatta ~ every one agreed fork tender melt in your mouth delicious! Lasagna best ever, eggplant Parmesan biggest ever, lobster bisque and burratta. Eight complete 100% satisfaction. Dessert three cannoli, and a terimisu! Again 100% delicious. Wish we were close enough to dine here often. Glad we got the chance this time! Highly recommend trying this great little gem!
Saturday night in Clearwater Beach. Convenient location. Set up for our table was slow. Had waited until 9 pm hoping to avoid large family with kids environment. But table for 7 with 3 kids under 5 years old was being set up next to table set for us. We did get an alternate table set when I requested to be moved. Caesar salad was less than expected... almost "canned" in taste. But Grandma's recipe Lasagna was delicious. Beer and wine only, but wine list is pretty extensive. Service was good, not exceptional.
My wife and I took her extremely picky, ancient parents. They hate noise above a whisper and food prepared by an angel would likely be ridiculed. What a break! It was a great dinner without the usual complaints. They loved the food and though a little noisy for them the food made up for it. My old goat father-in-law had a veal dish and raved about it. The portion of eggplant parm was so big even Jumbo mo-in-law couldn't pack it all in. The place isn't cheap and remember, for the most part it's just noodles so they must be making a killing. But I would go back without the baggage even. Most of the places in Sand Key stink to high heaven. If Ceasar's is expensive but has good eats, so be it. Go.
First time visit and I will definitely be back. I had one of the specials, Mahi Mahi and it was just delicious. My husband had the seafood pasta and he loved it. We are locals and I cannot believe that we never tried this restaurant. It's my new favorite place
We very much enjoyed our dinner at Cesare at the Beach. It was a nice evening, so we were able to sit outside. Our waiter was very good! He was knowledgeable, efficient and friendly. My husband thoroughly enjoyed his Pasta Trio dinner. He's Italian and a good cook, so he knows good pasta and he thought Cesare's was terrific. I also enjoyed my linguini with seafood. The seafood was nice and fresh, and the red sauce was very good. This is a great restaurant for a casual Italian dinner. We will go again!
Poor parking and poor handicap access.
Overpriced across the board; they have to make up for the rent.
$31 minumum for any veal entree and the veal medallions were the size of a vanilla snap cookie; deplorable. If this restaurant was in the northeast they would be closed within a week.
Wow - what a hidden gem! We are staying at the Marriott and the pool bartender recommended Cesare. The food was outstanding, from fresh fish to perfectly cooked pasta. The service was amazing - friendly, helpful, and efficient - and the other diners were delightful too! (We had our 4-yr-old with us - he chats with neighboring tables!) We'll be back before we head home, and will remember Cesare for our next trip!
The food and service were outstanding, as always! This was our first time to Cesare's for the early menu. Because we were dining around sunset, and since the large restaurant windows face west, we found the sun was uncomfortably in the eyes of 3 out of 4 of the diners at our table. Looking around, we noticed it was similar for many of the tables in the room. We chose not to request a different table, and we enjoyed our meal all the same. But we wondered if the management would consider roll-down blinds to improve the sunset dining experience?
Cesare's is our go-to Italian restaurant, whether for a weeknight family dinner or to treat guests or visiting family to a special meal. Everything we have tried on their extensive menu, including the nightly specials, has been well-prepared, served at the proper pace, and TASTY! The owner is usually in the restaurant and comes by every table to chat and to make sure everything is satisfactory. For the last few times we've been to Cesare's Philip has been our server, and the service is always excellent; He remembers our preferences and favorites from previous visits, and things appear without needing to be asked for.
Not many places in the area remind me of the good, authentic Italian restaurants I grew up going to in New Jersey/New York, but Cesare's definitely does. I highly recommend this restaurant.
If you love Italian food, this is a great neighborhood gem. There are tables inside and on the porch. It is just over the Sand Key Bridge and you can sit and watch the bridge.
The food was very good. If you sit outside as we did, it can get a bit noisy.
I would definitely go back again.
The food was good. The service was appropriate, not pushy. The food was excellent, although the portions were too large for over age 75 seniors. The biggest drawback was the price which in my opinion was exorbitant. The cost included only the entree, not even a salad. We would not return as we are not in the very high income bracket.
2nd time at Cesare's. First time was two of us and it was awesome with what we thought was some of the best Italian in the area. Very timely and friendly service. This time it was 4 of us and the service was still awesome. One had seafood risotto, another had shrimp/mushroom risotto, one had chicken parm and I had linguine and clams. The first three were excellent per our party while the L/C was somewhat salty. Needless to say, the chianti helped and I didn't leave any but I would probably get something else next time. Regardless, we will be back! Ciao!
Very expensive compared to other Italian restaurants in the area. Menu has a good selection. No draft beer available - bottles only. Some parking available near the building. Veal plates were tasty and nice looking with fresh spinach. Marinara sauce was very salty.
Sigh. We live way up in Lutz, and keep looking for a good Italian restaurant closer to us. And then, after we tried yet more spots, we keep coming back to Cesare's. Great, fresh, Italian food. Authentic. Their 'basic' wines are fine; my only (minor--see below) complaint is their wine list: Too short. Needs more Italian. The good news is that they also allow corkage, and I usually try and bring one of my own Brunellos or Barolos.
The location is good, the service was fine, the price to be as expected. However, the food was only so so. The oil for the bread had no seasoning, the dressing on the salad had too much oil, the bisque was bland and the marina was way too sweet. Not at all what I would expect for a good Italian restaurant.
