   This is a favorite place. A bit pricey, but the food, ambiance, and service make it worth it. The menu changes seasonally, so if you like wild boar, go in winter. The maitre'd is outstanding.

   My friends and I went to Cercle Rouge for restaurant week. There weren't a lot of people when my friends and I went for lunch. The waiter was very polite and accommodating. The food was delicious! Especially the steak.

   Usually go to another French restaurant nearby, tried this for a change and really glad I did. Nice menu, food well prepared. Server made an error in our order and immediately fixed it, no argument. Recommend

   I had the hanger steak, which was tough and covered in far too much sauce and served with over-cooked and over-sauced rice. Dessert was pan a cotta, which is usually my favorite -- this had been prepped long ago and wasn't fresh and light. Appearance and service were lovely, so I had high hopes; but, I won't be back.

   The food at Cercle Rouge is as expected: a French brasserie menu, served on small tables typical of a French restaurant, with waiters and bartenders serving in French (and English). The quality of the food is on par with the higher-priced French brasseries in New York, while the cost for food is significantly below the prices said contemporaries quote. Summertime outdoor seating is a must. Being the first to arrive for a 7:45 winter Monday dinner, I waited at the bar, enjoying live jazz played by a band of three very able musicians. The bartender (French, naturally) prepared impressive gin-martinis. The empty place filled out moderately and the atmosphere was pleasant and romantic and very FRENCH.

   If you can't get to Paris, now worries, they brought a Bistro here. They are brave enough to have seasonal food here that true Parisians eat such as Tripes Gratinee and Andouillette Troyes. The wait staff is always friendly and helpful and has never steered me wrong. My only regret about writing this review is that more people will know about this place!

   We love French Bistros and Cercle Rouge. Great service, lovely food, good atmosphere. Always nice wine recommendations too.
