My husband and I enjoyed a delicious meal and excellent wine at Cenzino. Our waiter was extremely friendly and attentive. We highly recommend this restaurant if you’re looking for top quality food and service!
My wife had a wonderful Mother’s Day at Cenzino. Everything was perfect, great service, wonderful food and the mother of my children had a beautiful evening. Great time was had by all.
I had my family join us at Cenzinos for Mother’s Day . We were a group of 8 including my 6 and 10 year old grandsons. Our table was ready and the service and the food wa great. Typically my expectations at any restaurant on Mother’s Day are not good based on the number of people in restaurants and fixed menus. Cenzinos truly surpassed my expectations and we will be back for our special and not so special nights out for dinner.
I was able to get a table at the last minute. The renovation they did a few years ago was great. There are more seats and the food is just as good. I had my usual innamorata salad which I just love. Then I had one of the specials monkfish over risotto which was superb! It was nice that they didn't rush us and we could sit and talk. The valet prking on a rainy Saturday night was good.
Excellent food, accommodating staff and an overall pleasant evening out.
Go To CENZINO Once In Awhile. Know The Owners Quite Well. Terrific Staff, Great Menu (With Specials), Nice Bar, Overall Great Value!!!
Perfect place for a great diner where you can actually talk and hear each other
Great food, excellent service and ambience. Highly recommended.
Great food and service in an energetic atmosphere. We'll be back!
Service and food are great. I recommend the smaller room, it's much more intimate and quiet.
We celebrated my wife’s attaining Life Master in Bridge at a terrific dinner the other night. Although Cenzino has been around for a long time, it had a total face lift a few years ago, with change in menu and ambiance. They did have Chris Gesualdi ( former Chef st Montrachet in NY) briefly. Have no fear: whoever is watching the stove knows how to cook. We shared all: delicious Burrata special; Pear and Gorgonzola salad; hearty veal- stuffed ravioli, perfect eggplant melanzane and the Halibut special- cooked to perfection. All dishes looked as good as they tasted. We ate in a small intimate alcove. Had a well priced ($40) Montalcino, and a light and airy tiramisu for dessert. This place truly beats all of the well known Italian restaurants in Ridgewood and the area. Prices are a bargain for the quality you get. Trust me: go! You will not be disappointed!!
I love Cenzino’s food but I don’t like eating in the room on the left. It’s too noisy when all the larger tables are full. I much prefer the room to the right but it was closed on Thursday.
Had great service with Peter on our date tonight. Food was amazing- we loved it so much and can’t wait to come back to try more on the menu! Authentic Italian dishes that have great flavor. We will see you soon!
Always consistantly good with creative twists on traditional Italian menu. The atmosphere is comfortable and very welcoming. Staff was on top of every detail without being intrusive. Good choice for a special dinner for 2 or a group meal.
Family of 14 went for Palm Sunday and everything was perfect
Always welcoming , reliable and delicious
Food was delicious
Cenzino's is a favorite of ours. The food is always good, always interesting specials. Good wine list, excellent martinis, and the staff is very friendly and attentive.
We loved it! We were seated in a quiet alcove which was great as my parents have a hard time hearing. The food is wonderfully prepared. My parents wanted something not on the menu and the chef was as accommodating as he/she always is! Love this place!
Very overpriced mediocre restaurant.
$14.00 for a small Tito's and Sprite. Luke warm bread, had to ask for butter 3 shrimp in a$28, risotto with shrimp entree. Waiter volunteered that the osso bucco was a "large portion", was small.
Very, very noisy restaurant!!!. All hard surfaces and floors.
Don't waste your time or money at this restaurant.
Delicious food! Excellent service!
Always a great dining experience.
I do not recommend this place. The food was terrible. My gnocchi was cold and my father is still dealing with indigestion after his plate. The best part was the service!
I’ve been to Cenzino before and had a good experience. My wife came a couple of months ago on a weeknight and said the food wasn’t as good as in the past and the place was empty.
We were with friends on a Saturday night at 7:30 and it was pretty empty. I’m not sure why. I thought the food and service were very good. Judging by the lack of a crowd I was very skeptical, but I would definitely go back again.
Had a very nice Afternoon lunch!
Very Good overall
Loved the osso bucco which was the most authentic version I have had in a long time. Traditional! The service is always friendly. We count it as one of our local favorites.
Delicious . A great way to treat yourself for a great meal .
Went to Cenzino for the first time for my wife's birthday. It's literally right around the corner from our house, so we were excited to hopefully enjoy it because it's so close. Definitely were not disappointed. Bartender made us great drinks to start. We were seated when we were ready, and the service was outstanding. The food was really excellent - calamari was cooked perfectly, not rubbery. Wife had the veal stuffed tortelloni - excellent. I had the roast duck, and that was perfect, crisp skin, not overcooked. Tiramisu to top it off was great. We will definitely be back!
I have to say that, for the second time, we were rather disappointed in Cenzinos. It's so close, we WANT to like it, but, for the price, it just doesn't deliver. When the two of us sat down at a 4-person table, we noticed fresh tomato sauce stains and crumbs on the corner of the table cloth between us, so we moved to the opposite corner. The room we were in is like a huge echo chamber, so it was very loud. My grouper, an evening special, was cooked, which is all I can say about it. There was nothing interesting about it - just a piece of fish with a blob of tasteless mashed potatoes and some green beans. Considering the price and what we got for it, we probably won't be returning.
Hubby and I were early for our reservation and meeting another couple for dinner. So we had a martini at the beautiful and comfortable bar. Our bar tender was friendly and smiley. We met another couple there who eat at Cenzinos often. We had a great time. Then dinner. Everything was delicious!! The spiral zucchini with seafood was thoroughly enjoyed by 3 of us. Our server was prompt, professional and friendly!!
Reservation for New Years Eve through open table was quick and easy. Everything we ordered from the pre fix menu was delicious. Will definitely go back and would recommend for a great meal and superior service.
Outstanding service with great people, food and drink. Highly recommend. When I come to Cenzino I am among family.
We have been using Open Table to try new restaurants in our area. Cenzino was worth taking the drive in the cold temperatures. We were greeted warmly. The service was excellent, but the best part certainly was the food. We had a party of three and all of us chose from the menu specials. We enjoyed our time so much, we stayed for a little dessert. Give it a try. YOu will be happily surprised.
Cenzino’s is remarkably consistent. The food is fantastic and the service is always top notch. We love this place!
We have been dining here for years. I have always loved the old fashioned feel of the place. Although recently renovated, and updated, it still retains the same charm. The owner was present and visited every table. The food was excellent. I had the Osso Buco, which was outstanding. I have never been disappointed here.
This is one of our favorite restaurants. The food and service are great. It's out go-to place for special occasions.
Always a great meal , Jenn, Paige, Ron and rob are awesome
