Cenzino Ratings and Reviews
Very overpriced mediocre restaurant.
$14.00 for a small Tito's and Sprite. Luke warm bread, had to ask for butter 3 shrimp in a$28, risotto with shrimp entree. Waiter volunteered that the osso bucco was a "large portion", was small.
Very, very noisy restaurant!!!. All hard surfaces and floors.
Don't waste your time or money at this restaurant.
I’ve been to Cenzino before and had a good experience. My wife came a couple of months ago on a weeknight and said the food wasn’t as good as in the past and the place was empty.
We were with friends on a Saturday night at 7:30 and it was pretty empty. I’m not sure why. I thought the food and service were very good. Judging by the lack of a crowd I was very skeptical, but I would definitely go back again.
Went to Cenzino for the first time for my wife's birthday. It's literally right around the corner from our house, so we were excited to hopefully enjoy it because it's so close. Definitely were not disappointed. Bartender made us great drinks to start. We were seated when we were ready, and the service was outstanding. The food was really excellent - calamari was cooked perfectly, not rubbery. Wife had the veal stuffed tortelloni - excellent. I had the roast duck, and that was perfect, crisp skin, not overcooked. Tiramisu to top it off was great. We will definitely be back!
I have to say that, for the second time, we were rather disappointed in Cenzinos. It's so close, we WANT to like it, but, for the price, it just doesn't deliver. When the two of us sat down at a 4-person table, we noticed fresh tomato sauce stains and crumbs on the corner of the table cloth between us, so we moved to the opposite corner. The room we were in is like a huge echo chamber, so it was very loud. My grouper, an evening special, was cooked, which is all I can say about it. There was nothing interesting about it - just a piece of fish with a blob of tasteless mashed potatoes and some green beans. Considering the price and what we got for it, we probably won't be returning.
Hubby and I were early for our reservation and meeting another couple for dinner. So we had a martini at the beautiful and comfortable bar. Our bar tender was friendly and smiley. We met another couple there who eat at Cenzinos often. We had a great time. Then dinner. Everything was delicious!! The spiral zucchini with seafood was thoroughly enjoyed by 3 of us. Our server was prompt, professional and friendly!!
We have been using Open Table to try new restaurants in our area. Cenzino was worth taking the drive in the cold temperatures. We were greeted warmly. The service was excellent, but the best part certainly was the food. We had a party of three and all of us chose from the menu specials. We enjoyed our time so much, we stayed for a little dessert. Give it a try. YOu will be happily surprised.
We have been dining here for years. I have always loved the old fashioned feel of the place. Although recently renovated, and updated, it still retains the same charm. The owner was present and visited every table. The food was excellent. I had the Osso Buco, which was outstanding. I have never been disappointed here.
Wish we could give Cenzino a better review but the noise level was overpowering. Our party of 4 visited on a Saturday night and were seated promptly in a small alcove in the back of the restaurant. Our waiter was excellent and we have no complaints about the food or service. I’d be surprised if anyone was critical of either. Because of where we were seated, two of us had our backs to the main dining room and faced a wall. If we were to recommend Cenzino, we would advise people to visit during the week when it might be quieter and to request a table in the main dining room.
This dinner is an annual event where two families get together at thanksgiving. I am a frequent diner at resturant and as usual food was excellent. Service was great and since it was Friday after thanksgiving resturant was not overly busy so we had time to sit and talk and get caught up. Enjoyable dinner and time for all of us
We have been to this restaurant about 6 times over the years. We decided to have dinner there last Saturday night to celebrate my husband’s birthday. Although it has been redecorated that is the only good thing I can say about it. It did look very nice. I had lamb chops that were awful. New Zealand lamb not American. Thinly sliced and overdone. I asked for medium. I did tell our waiter how disappointed I was and he compensated by giving my son Taramisu on the house. What good did that do me? The Caesar salad was average. My husband ‘s Chicken, son’s pork chop and my Mom’s shrimp were ok -nothing to rave about. The prices were high. We expected better. Service was slow even taking into consideration it was as a Saturday night. I think it will be our last dinner there.
We love this place.
The food is great - the filet mignon in pepper corn sauce is our favorite.
When it's crowded, it can be a bit noisy. When it's not, it's easy to have a pleasant conversation.
The staff is friendly, and the service is great.
This is our go-to place for special occasions.
