Cenzino Ratings and Reviews
What a let down for Christmas Eve. After several good experiences at this restaurant, they didn't live up to our expectations on our last visit. I often remark how a restaurant can be so ignorant of the fact that you are there to review them afterwards and that they should make every effort to make sure all is perfect. Sorry to say that it seems the waiting times and quality of food goes down hill when the place is packed for a holiday. To start, we had a calamari dish which was under cooked and gummy. We trashed three quarters of the dish it was so bad. Bread wasn't served until we reminded the wait staff about it, and then... it came stale. Vegetables on the main dishes were not fully done and were a little too stiff to my liking. Thankfully the wait staff was hustling that night and did a pretty good job despite the heavy crowd. My wife says no more holiday dinners at Cenzino's. It ruined our opinion of them. Sorry.
Can't say enough good things. This was a spur of the moment Friday night out......we were concerned about getting in since we were making our Open Table reservation only 45 minutes before the time we would be arriving. When we got there we were promptly seated although they were extremely busy. The host/owner was gracious and checked on us several times. The food was cooked perfectly and delicious. The best part of our evening was our server. Although relatively new to the business he was outstanding, I thought he was at lest a 20 year veteran to the service industry......checked on us often, made great recommendations, always smiled and joked a bit.....as hard as he was working I think he had a better time than we did! My wife and I had just had very difficult days.....this dinner was a great end to the evening and we left happy, full and smiling! I highly recommend their lamb dishes, sea food perfect and the Bourbon Bread Pudding is a must have!
We had been here before and returned based on our prior experiences. Once again we were very pleased. We meet friends here and find that we get a great meal and are able to linger and spend time with our friends. We are never rushed and it has always been a very pleasant experience.
This was our second visit to Cenzino and we enjoyed a great evening with our son in law's parents.
Dinner was delicious, fresh and expertly prepared. We enjoyed the mussels appetizer and the soup from the specials menu as well as the burrata. Outstanding. Dinner choices were lamb chops milanese, chicken special and veal from the main menu. Everything was wonderful.
We had a great table in the corner which allowed for ease of conversation with minimal noise considering there was Jazz Trio at the bar. Food was really yummy and accommodating as one of the diners is both gluten and dairy free.
Great local gem that never disappoints time after time! Enjoyed a number of items from the list of specials but the menu selections are equally great - seafood, beef, veal, chicken, pasta - my family and guests have enjoyed them all and is the reason we continue to come back to "our" special place!
I have been to Cenzino a few times in the last couple of months. It's hit or miss, mostly miss. Most of the dinners are tasteless or just don't have the right ingredients. Out of 20 dinners, only three are worth talking about. However, I will not be reviewing those dinners because I will not be dining there for a very long time to come. The wait staff is very friendly and they try very hard to please, but the kitchen cannot produce the quality you expect for the price you pay.
This was our first dining experience at Cenzino. The decor is lovely, subdued and elegant. Our entire dining experience was that of a five star restaurant; professional, courteous and unassuming. We enjoyed our meals, beginning with a shared appetizer of fried calamari which was light and crisp. My husband ordered the buccatini pasta special which was prepared perfectly. I enjoyed the generous veal chop with mushrooms. The tartufo looked amazing and I wish we had room to order dessert!
Regina greeted us as if we were family and checked on us throughout the meal.
We are looking forward to hosting our daughter's baby shower in their lovely dining room and we plan to return for dinner again soon!
This was our second time at Cenzino, celebrating a special occasion, and everything was fabulous! We were seated immediately with no wait. Our drinks were served quickly and the specials were presented to us verbally. We all chose different entrees and all of them were prepared exactly right and the plates were visually very very appealing. The food looked spectacular. The same care and detail was present with all our dessert plates too. The servers were all very friendly and very accommodating and all took care to fulfill any extra request quickly. It's become one of our favorite restaurants now, and we will repeat. Thank you Cenzino!
My husband and I came to Cenzino's for date night. We were so surprised to walk in and find such a beautiful and hip location right around the corner from our home. We'd driven past countless times but hadn't visited until receiving a gift card from friends.
We will visit again without a doubt. The food was great, service attentive and wine a liquor options of a good variety.
At the end of the night, the owner asked us to the bar for a lemoncello on the house. It was a kind and perfect ending to our night out.
`as we were celebrating our anniversary, our dining experience was horrible.
my wife was unable to eat her shrimp dinner as the odor from the shrimp emitted
a strong presence of "iodine" . of course she could not eat this entrée and asked the waiter
to speak to the manager. his reply was this happened because "it was cooked on the grill".
wow after replacing her order, she had to "look at me as I continued with my dinner"
twenty minutes later her dinner arrived, now it was my turn to watch her what a catastrophe
what a way to ruin our anniversary dinner
It was a spectacular dining experience. The staff was knowledgeable, courteous, and committed to ensuring that we had a great overall experience. My wife and I started off by ordering the La Caprese appetizer. It's a simple and delicious dish that was perfected. The dish consists of fresh mozzarella, ripe tomatoes, and roasted peppers with olive oil. We ordered two Caesar salads for the next course. The croutons were decent but the dressing was phenomenal. It tasted freshly made, tangy, and was topped with shaved Grana Padano. For entrees, my wife ordered Fettuccine Alfredo topped with grilled chicken. I ordered the pasta special that includes spaghetti, littleneck clams, shrimp, jumbo lump crab meat, and zucchini in a tomato, garlic and olive oil sauce. It was absolutely fantastic. The attention to detail is truly second to none. We highly recommend it!
I hadn't noticed that the price was $10+ more than any other entree when I ordered it. it was $52. It was quite bland. If I had realized before the bill arrived I either wouldn't have ordered it or sent it back for some flavoring. The mashed potatoes were also strange (truffle maybe?).
