Cenzino Ratings and Reviews
I have to say that, for the second time, we were rather disappointed in Cenzinos. It's so close, we WANT to like it, but, for the price, it just doesn't deliver. When the two of us sat down at a 4-person table, we noticed fresh tomato sauce stains and crumbs on the corner of the table cloth between us, so we moved to the opposite corner. The room we were in is like a huge echo chamber, so it was very loud. My grouper, an evening special, was cooked, which is all I can say about it. There was nothing interesting about it - just a piece of fish with a blob of tasteless mashed potatoes and some green beans. Considering the price and what we got for it, we probably won't be returning.
Hubby and I were early for our reservation and meeting another couple for dinner. So we had a martini at the beautiful and comfortable bar. Our bar tender was friendly and smiley. We met another couple there who eat at Cenzinos often. We had a great time. Then dinner. Everything was delicious!! The spiral zucchini with seafood was thoroughly enjoyed by 3 of us. Our server was prompt, professional and friendly!!
We have been using Open Table to try new restaurants in our area. Cenzino was worth taking the drive in the cold temperatures. We were greeted warmly. The service was excellent, but the best part certainly was the food. We had a party of three and all of us chose from the menu specials. We enjoyed our time so much, we stayed for a little dessert. Give it a try. YOu will be happily surprised.
We have been dining here for years. I have always loved the old fashioned feel of the place. Although recently renovated, and updated, it still retains the same charm. The owner was present and visited every table. The food was excellent. I had the Osso Buco, which was outstanding. I have never been disappointed here.
Wish we could give Cenzino a better review but the noise level was overpowering. Our party of 4 visited on a Saturday night and were seated promptly in a small alcove in the back of the restaurant. Our waiter was excellent and we have no complaints about the food or service. I’d be surprised if anyone was critical of either. Because of where we were seated, two of us had our backs to the main dining room and faced a wall. If we were to recommend Cenzino, we would advise people to visit during the week when it might be quieter and to request a table in the main dining room.
This dinner is an annual event where two families get together at thanksgiving. I am a frequent diner at resturant and as usual food was excellent. Service was great and since it was Friday after thanksgiving resturant was not overly busy so we had time to sit and talk and get caught up. Enjoyable dinner and time for all of us
We have been to this restaurant about 6 times over the years. We decided to have dinner there last Saturday night to celebrate my husband’s birthday. Although it has been redecorated that is the only good thing I can say about it. It did look very nice. I had lamb chops that were awful. New Zealand lamb not American. Thinly sliced and overdone. I asked for medium. I did tell our waiter how disappointed I was and he compensated by giving my son Taramisu on the house. What good did that do me? The Caesar salad was average. My husband ‘s Chicken, son’s pork chop and my Mom’s shrimp were ok -nothing to rave about. The prices were high. We expected better. Service was slow even taking into consideration it was as a Saturday night. I think it will be our last dinner there.
We love going to Cenzino. Great food - always have my favorite, Dover Sole.
Specials are creative. Wait staff are the best. Great bar for a cocktail. Valet parking is good. You can eat in two dining areas or eat at the bar.....
My wife and I were given a gift card for our 31st year wedding anniversary to try Cenzino's. With five children added to our family we do not often enjoy fine dining. This restaurant was perfectly delightful for our special occasion. Thank you.
We love this place.
The food is great - the filet mignon in pepper corn sauce is our favorite.
When it's crowded, it can be a bit noisy. When it's not, it's easy to have a pleasant conversation.
The staff is friendly, and the service is great.
This is our go-to place for special occasions.
We have been here a number of times. We have always found it to be a great experience. It is a great place to meet up with friends and spend some time in conversation and enjoying a good meal. The staff is great as is the food. It is never a rushed time.
We sat in the newer dining room and the noise level was terrible for dining. My husband had risotto which was very good. I had a veal dish (I do't remember the exact name, di monti was part of it) I could taste the flour on the veal and the sauce was very bland. We always loved the food in the past, but I'm not enthralled with this chef.
We were aware of Cenzino for a while, but never went until this past weekend. Honestly, we were a little disappointed. There was nothing "wrong" with the meal per se, but it wasn't really worth writing home about either. The wine list is fine, but on the expensive side. Appetizers and entrees were pricey, but not out of line with similar type restaurants in the area. The food was good, but there wasn't anything about it that made it special. Everything about the meal was just "fine." And for the prices, that's not really worth it in an area with so many alternatives.
Been here several times and it was one of our favorites, but this week it was off. Food, service, etc, just was not up to past experiences. And people at another table were rudely loud and disruptive of others seeking to have a peaceful dining experience. Hopefully this was a just a bleep because we really like this resturant
This was the worst meal the 6 of us ever had for dinner. The waitress and ambiance were great. All our appetizers were horrible. Clams Oreganato fishy and Sandy, gnocci hard and cold, tuna over cooked and no taste, polenta with red sauce dry, shrimp app special no sauce and bland. Dinner was about the same but worse all 3 pasta dinners were mushy over cooked and no taste, chicken Parmesan was a big tomato on top with melted cheese horrific, short ribs which should fall off the bone rubbery and couldn't cut lastly chicken arrabiata awful so many red pepper flakes and a horrible sauce. We complained and manager came to table and said he'd be right back. Well he never came back. The waitress gave us lemoncello which we sent back. The clincher was getting the check not even one item taken off bill. Whatever you do don't go to this restaurant!! Big didappointment.
