Very nice restaurant located in Omni Hotel. Pre-concert dinner was excellent, as was the service. Good selection of wine.
Such a nice place! Great food and service!!!
There were only 3 parties in the whole restaurant but they still refused to take my Groupon because it was mother’s Day. The waitress was eating bread in the dining room which fell out of her mouth at one point (Yuch!). The air conditioner was broken so the whole room was freezing on what was a cold rainy night. Food was good but side salad was 7 bucks! I wasn’t impressed for a biltmore restaurant!
If you're staying at the Omni, it's convenient and the food is good. The service was excellent.
It was our first time at Centro and we had a wonderful experience. The service and food was excellent. I would definitely come again.
Overall a good experience went after an event at the D D
Maybe depending on the circumstances. Service was below par and the food was average. Location for a concert at the dunk made it reasonable.
The food wasn't worth what was paid for it.
The appetizers took a while to come out and the mains appeared almost immediately after when we were both halfway done with our soup.
The food & drinks weren't terrible, but there are infinitely better options in Providence for the same or less money.
We went for dinner before a show at the Dunkin Donuts Center. We were rushed, food was just ok and the place was noisy. Maybe on a slower night it would have been better.
Service was phenomenal!!
Everything about Centro was what my partner and I look for in a restaurant . The service was great, it was quiet although it was only 5 pm, music was perfect and not too loud, and the food was excellent. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 was that the salmon was a little too salty. Would definitely recommend it!
Fanstatic all around...food was excellent, service prompt and pleasant. We truly enjoyed dinner and the overall experience.
Súper awesome, the food was really good, I recommend (donatella) really nice drink and the service super nice, definitely I will come back
We were waited on by heather, she was so upbeat and attrntive, really made the experience. The atmosphere is very cozy and romantic, loved everythimg about it.
Good all in all, just seemed more upscale and the food at a higher caliber in the previous times we've visited.
Great service and delicious food! Would definitely come back again.
Extremely slow service. Waiter never came to check on table for close to an hour. Had to get own drinks at the bar. Food was good.
Great place for after Big East Basketball to wait out the crowds and traffic. Very busy! very Noisy! Incredibly helpful staff and manager who brought food and drinks out helping staff. Great teamwork!
Food was excellent and came out quickly! However, we noticed we were our servers furthest table away from the kitchen so we were kind of the “forgotten” table. I noticed him check on his other tables multiple times before coming to us. There were a couple things we wanted but never got because no one was checking on us, but overall not terrible service. I would still go back!
My daughter and I were here for Christmas "Dinner" (lunch). There was no wait (we had reservations), the service was excellent (if a little fast), and the food was delicious. My only negtive comment, if you could call it that, was that the entree was served very fast, mid-appetizer. Would have liked a little bit more leisure time. But the waitress recognized this was fast and encouraged us to go at our own pace.
This is probably your best bet for dining at the providence place mall.
Excellent! Went for a holiday lunch with a friend and everything from atmosphere to service was great! Delicious and by far best panini we ever had. Sangria was so delish!!!!!
So glad we were able to experience this place twice now, once with friends and on our own. The atmosphere is upscale but not pretentious. No need to dress to the 9s but if you do you won't feel out of place. We after here before a show and did not feel rushed. The service is excellent and they can recommend a great wine with any meal.
Food is overpriced. Our server seemed annoyed we were there although she did become nicer as our meal progressed. Salads were drenched in dressing, some to the point it was not edible. Bacon in sandwich was rubbery. Not worth the $$$
If I could have rated the food 6 stars, I would have. We had an amazing waiter, Paulo. (Sorry, if I spelled that incorrectly) and our food was incredible. Perfect for a date-night.
My wife and I had a very nice dinner here and would definitely come back for dinner if staying at the Omni (probably would not choose unless at hotel), but we also ate Sunday brunch here two days later and was quite disappointed in the latter (biggest complaint was pastries, bagels, donuts were all somewhat stale - something I might expect at a Hampton Inn). Service was also slow at brunch.
Nice atmosphere with a nice variety on the menu of Italian and American cuisine. The menu items we ordered were well seasoned, prepared, and presented. This is a hidden gem. Although I live and work in the state, I had not heard of this restaurant until recently. RI has many fine Italian restaurants and this is one I would put on that list and recommend.
The food was very good. Beautiful decor. The only thing I would say is they are very pricey for upcharges. So if you want to substitute anything or add a protein to a dish ask for the upcharge price prior. $8 to add a few pieces of grilled chicken to a pasta dish.
The food was great, the service was top notch, and the atmosphere was superb.
Great , good food
Omni is our place to go when we are in Providence for a weekend getaway at the Omni Hotel or in this most recent visit to view the Waterfire exhibit. Excellent food great service and good value.
Food was tasty but they totally cheated out on the portion size. $30 bucks for half a plate of pasta was too much
Waitress couldn’t answer questions about food and never came back to ask if we needed refills on drinks and took a smoke break without asking us if we needed anything else so we had to wait until she got back to get our check. Food is way too overpriced.
A nice venue that seems to be attempting more upscale meals and presentation, but falls short in food quality, which is disappointing and renders the restaurant overpriced. An example would be the Ahi salad, which on the plus side gave a huge portion of ahi, but sadly, the ahi was of low quality in terms of texture and flavor, to the point that we could not finish much of it. In my opinion, they should reduce the size of the lunch menu and focus on doing a handful of plates really well and then branch out from there, as they do have a great location and classy venue. On our way out my fiancé and I chatted with the hostess who told us that the RI Convention Center generally fills the restaurant with people everyday around noon, which makes me suspect that Centro does not feel much pressure to deliver on quality, since they appear to have a steady stream of customers with relatively low expectations filling the tables on a regular basis. Overall, we were disappointed in the experience and would not return unless we had reason to believe that there were some fundamental improvements in terms of food quality and service.
Waitstaff very professional however grossly understaffed for a large conference center event. Chef should be given more than one panini press to accommodate a large crowd. Paninis overpriced for size given. On a good note, Caprese salad was wonderful and restuarant was beautiful.
The menu is very limited! I thought I knew what I wanted after looking at the menu online, only to get there and realize half the stuff wasn’t actually on the menu at the restaurant. They were very weird about making substitutions even though everything is supposedly made to order. However, the food I did end up getting was very tasty and came out nice and hot. They were great about water refills throughout the meal as well. For the prices, you don’t get much but the value was good to me since I had a Groupon. If it weren’t for that, I would’ve been disappointed with the value. The decor is very pretty but the ambiance suffered a bit because there were hardly any other customers dining! Not sure why...but overall a good meal.
We had passed by Centro many many times since it is in the hotel, but had never eaten here before and decided to come on Saturday night. To my surprise it wasn’t what I thought it would be. The ambiance was very nice. It had a nice bar area next to the dining area. Not a huge place but a nice layout. The menu was diverse and had many dishes to choose from. From appetizers and paninis to pizza and filet mignon. The service was excellent. The meals came out timely and were hot. The martini prices were a bit high I thought but were very good. Overall we had a great meal at Centro and would definitely come back again.
Nice and beautiful decor. Very clean and cozy restaurant. We had a hotel reservation at Omni Providence that night and drove from New York to Newport for mansions visit. I made reservation at this restaurant in advance at 7 pm since I don't know this area at all. We loved the food, the hotel room and free water bottle to go at reception. The food was amazing. We ordered fried calamari, beet and goat cheese salad to share as appetizers. Main dishes were salmon, roasted beef, scallops, and lobster ravioli for party of 4. The service was great, our waiter was very polite and tried to please our requests. The manager of restaurant made sure that we are comfortable and like the service, which is always a nice touch to newcomers.
