Centre Ice Grill, at the Rogers Arena in Vancouver, serves globally inspired fare that is both tantalizing and hearty in its friendly and relaxing restaurant. The plump shrimp cocktail with brandy cocktail sauce and the juicy chicken parmesan tenders with plum dipping sauce are excellent starters, particularly for sharing. Some of Centre Ice Grill's specialty entrées include the broiled wild salmon with kale, cauliflower and almonds, the roasted chicken with Yukon gold puree and fried sage and the chimichurri steak and frites, all prepared to perfection. More in the mood for something casual? The Johnny Canuck burger may be just for you, as it is topped with double smoked bacon, provolone and smoked onion mayonnaise.
For a sweet end to your meal, enjoy Centre Ice Grill's homemade warm skillet chocolate chip cookie, a decadent treat topped with vanilla ice cream and chocolate sauce.
This was our last home game we would be attending this season. We decided to share the occasion with our Son and Grandson. The experience was great as this was our Grandson's first time in the Grill. The service and ambience was great.
Had a great dining experience at Centre Ice Grill. Food was exceptional, service was awesome. Our waiter was very knowledgeable of the food, beer & wine lists and was able to recommend alternate choices due to food allergies.
Thank you Eduardo for the great service and the kitchen staff for the amazing food!
Always good food , service is better than previous seasons, but is a factor of fewer customers, which I take to being caused by higher priced menu items. Its an expensive nite to pay $250 for 4 and $1,000 for tixs..
SLOW TO SERVE YOU,
FOR ME THE MAIN WAS A SMALL PORTION SMALL FOR $25, I LEFT THE RESTAURANT AND PURCHASED A HOT DOG.
FOR MY WIFE THE SIDES OF THE $32 SALMON DISH WERE NOT THE SAME AS MENTIONED BY THE WAITER AND SHE ALSO ORDERED A SIDE OF FRESH GREEN VEGETABLES AND WHEN IT CAME IT WAS PEAS AND CARROTS.
THE BEER WAS WELL PRICED COMPARED TO THE STADIUM PRICES IN A BETTER ATMOSPHERE BUT THE WINE PRICES ARE RIDICULOUS.
I DO NOT THINK I WILL RETURN IN FUTURE. I WILL EAT MY DINNER OUTSIDE THE STADIUM.
Had a great time the staff was excellent our server Dawn was magnificent ☺ the food was fabulous a little pricey for the portion but still great time thanks to the staff
The owner of my company and our main client both had the Ahi tuna special and it was cooked right through so that the meat was solid wheras all Ahi tuna I have had is seared on the outside and rare on the inside,. they were not impressed.
The service is always 5-star, and this is why I bring most of my clients here, before heading down to our seats to watch the game. I was disappointed that the lamb shank was taken of the menu; however my new go to is now the beef tenderloin - delicious!
The service was prompt and friendly. We had an assortment of dishes. My bolognese was excellent and the beer was cold. Great place for food and/or drink before the Canucks' hockey game.
It was my birthday and I took my son to the hockey game. I hadn't been to the Grill for years. It was really nice. we enjoyed our dinner and drinks before the game. Great energy. Glad we were on the backside which was warmer. Margarita was a tad bitter but I enjoyed it nonetheless. the burger was amazing! Shrimp cocktail was terrific.
Why go elsewhere for a great pre-game dinner. This is top quality dining. The service was exceptional. Calamari about the best we've had. Tenderloin steak was small but delicious.
we arrived shortly after 5"30 figuring that would give us enough time with the game starting at 7pm. we were seated promptly off in the corner of the restaurant near a door where the staff were coming and going with dishes , although the venue was half empty. we ordered wine which came promptly ( and was very nice) and proceeded to wait. the room was very cold, so much so that we had to keep our jackets on. Far colder than the our seats in the arena, where we later sat in shirt sleeves. staff were bustling by us. We had ordered the nightly special figuring that would take less time. at approx 6:30 a man came by the table with a plate of calamari on the house and apologized for the delay. I assume he was a manager, but he didn't say so i'm not sure. the steaks finally arrived at 6:48, leaving us just a few minutes to wolf them down and get to our seats.. the server commented that it wasn't usually that bad but that they had a big party show up.
in summary i would think that an event restaurant would be better prepared. the venue wasn't full.. there wasn't anyone within 30 ft of us. the room was cold , noisy and uninviting. the server was friendly but ultimately useless to get our order. by the time we got our food there was no time to enjoy it. all in all a poor experience, certainly no place to bring a date or a client
The service was fine. The food was fine too. I wouldn't call it great but it's good. Pricy though.
For someone who enjoys dining out quite often. I would have to say you might have the best service in the entire city.. All starts with the Manager how he greats everyone and weather it's welcoming them if it their first time or thanking them for returning.. Last time we had the pleasure of having Eduardo has our server. Nothing but first class, cheerful and excited to serve you. The Food is great as I have mention I go out for meals quite often and the food is top quality and so is the staff
Very good experience. Food was a little slow to come and the group behind us was a little loud, other than these, a great meal before the Canucks game. Server was excellent.
Neat spot to for a one-off experience. Don't go here if you're hungry! Food is just good not great...small portioned. Therefore way out of line with menu pricing. Guess folks are accustom to the sports arena gouging. There are hundreds of restaurants within walking distance of the Rogers arena that offer far better for the money.
Way to much $$
Bad beer selection , craft beer = Vancouver
Get some taps in there
4 beer 2 appies 2 burgers = $130 + a tip
But I should no better , Canucks = unaffordable
This was a disappointing choice for dinner. As we were attending the hockey game, we thought it would be convenient to be able to have a proper meal inside the arena before going down to watch the game. It was convenient - once the security staff finally decided to admit the crowd waiting outside the arena & freezing. Doors were supposed to open at 5pm, but the chit chat among the staff standing inside the WARM entry area continued a few minutes past that. Then the handheld ticket scanner wasn't working, metal detectors slowed everyone down and as a result we arrived for our 5pm reservation at 5:20pm.
We were seated promptly, and had a pleasant server. However, from there the meal became mediocre quickly. The menu was VERY overpriced! A cocktail each at $15 per. Since it was his birthday, my husband ordered the Shrimp Cocktail appetizer - a huge splurge at $24!!!! It contained 4 (yes, only four) prawns, a huge scoop of crushed ice and a couple thin slivers of peppers for color. It was accompanied by about a Tablespoon of bland & watery seafood sauce. The rest of the meal was similarly unimpressive. We both had the Prime Rib - a very small portion of meat sitting on top of a spoonful of peas, 5 or 6 tiny baby carrot halves and a small scoop of mashed potatoes @ $38 each. Desserts followed, at about $10 each. With the bill already well north of $150 for an uninspired and not very filling meal, we decided to cut our losses and head down to our seats. After the game we stopped at a local bar and had some appetizers, since our earlier meal had not satisfied either of us. Nothing was inherently wrong with our dinners, other than the price gouging, but it was not an experience we want to have again. Centre Ice Grill is now off our go-to list. :(
once seated we waited 15 mins and no server came to us, i had to track one down. I ordered the fish special and it was undercooked and no taste not a good value for the money i spent. i had also order a glass of wine 5 oz, server brought a 9 oz and by this time i was so agitated that i just wanted to finish and get out of there.
Loved the whole experience so much I am hoping my better half makes dinner reservations there for my birthday hockey game! I love that they open 2 hours before the game leaving lots of time to relax through your meal while watching things get warmed up on the ice!
If you are in town for a hockey game this is the place to eat dinner. Fabulous food and you get to watch the teams warm up prior to the game. The service was outstanding.
I know the place is busy before a hockey game, but to deliver your food cold, was not acceptable. We waited over an hour to get our entrée, and because it was late and cold, we missed the first period. Our server all but disappeared.
We've had dinner here before and it was good, although the pricing is a bit steep, especially the wine.
What an amazing experience for my Aunts 75th Birthday.
From the moment we were greeted by our Hostess, we could feel that level of customer service, that many only dream of.
She's not used to having so much attention.
The staff were nothing but amazing.
From the Manager, Host, Hostess, to the Waitress, just an amazing group of people, who made it a piint to come by and wish her a Happy Birthday.
Throughout the evening, they continued to pop in every so often to make sure that we were being well taken care of.
3 days later and my Aunt is still talking about it.
An unforgettable experience.

I've dined at the center ice grill for many years and have always been impressed with the service there. Especially last year! They went above and beyond!!
I couldn't believe the lack of service we received this year. Our server didn't know what the specials were, cutlery wasn't replaced between servings and I'm still waiting for them to come around and ask if we want fresh pepper.
I'd asked if it was the same Chef as last year....the response was no we have a new one. She should have pumped up the new chef.
All and all very disappointing service when you're dropping a couple hundred dollars on a meal.
The good was excellent!
The food was much improved over last year. We both had meat and quite worthwhile given the price of beef! Perfectly cooked and generous portions. Cocktail was stronger than last years and the wine seemed to be a bit more generous pour. I think they have noted the many reviews saying that the price was not reflected in the quality and have upped their game! Definitely we will be back for pre game dinners! It is really smart that management so obviously responds to reviews!
Pleasant, helpful staff and tasty home-cooked style food. Also, they don't try to rush you out for a second seating. It's a bit loud though (after all, there is a pre-game show going on!). Overall a good experience.
The restaurant was very noisy despite it being less than half full. The sound system for the rink is extremely loud in the restaurant. The service was horrible and I felt the staff were lacking in training and the restaurant was disorganized. We were a party of 4 and one meal came 10 minutes before the next and the last two were another 5 minutes after that. Servers came to our table looking for who ordered meals but the meals were not for our table at all. Beverage service was equally as slow . Not a good experience at all.
Way over priced for the quality of food we received. $85 for chicken strips (3 small pieces of chicken) and fries, a cheese burger, 3 spring rolls, a Pepsi and 1 beer. The fries were cold, greasy and limp (in edible) the service was good and the atmosphere before the concert was really cool. The convenience was what I was looking for and for that I may return for drinks but not dinner.
We went before a Canucks game. Once seated it was approx. 8 minutes before someone came over for drink orders. We then ordered appys which besides the friendliness of our waiter was the only thing that was good. My partner and I each ordered the fish plate. Mine came with cold veg, yes cold veg, and missing the shrimp, my wife's came with no veg. All the fish, especially the salmon were overcooked and none of it was made fresh. Not bad for a $40 plate. HORRIBLE. Our company both had the pasta dish. One had hot pasta with cold sauce, the other cold pasta with hot sauce(same pasta but one had a tomato sauce and the other had a cream sauce) $36 for 7 poor pasta pieces.
Our server did the best he could. Slow bar(wasn't that busy) and horrible kitchen really hurt what he could do.
Would not recommend anyone eat here unless you like overpriced poor food and bad service.
-Great view though.
Great location, overlooking the ice. Good sit down option for pre game meal in a fun atmosphere when you don't want to waste time looking for a restaurant near Rogers Arena. Food was good but overpriced. My chicken dinner was tasty but could have benefitted from the addition of a few vegetables. Service was very good. Overall a fun start to the evening!
While they had a great wine list and numerous other drink selections the food didn't quite reach my expectations. Don't get me wrong, it was good but I just expected a bit more for the price at Rogers Arena. I went before a Canucks game with some buds and had a great time. The service was phenomenal, one of my friends has allergies and they made sure they were on top of them. It was my birthday that day as well so when the server checked my ID she cracked a few jokes about my age(21), she was pretty funny. I would recommeNd going to Center Ice Grill for drinks before a game and maybe on your way down to your seat picking up poutine or a lobster roll.
The primary concern I had with the Centre Ice Grill was the disconnect between menu prices and the level of service and overall ambiance. If you're going to charge 5 star dinning prices, you should provide comparable service. The pasta dishes were well presented and the food was OK but you weren't asked if you'd like fresh parmesan or a pass of the pepper mill. However, if you're looking for a convenient place to dine prior to the game with OK quality food, and time is of the essence, it's a great choice. But don't expect the overall experience to live up to the the final bill.
Food was good with quick service. Very expensive wines on the wine list.
I reserved a table for a birthday. I asked for a good table and the lady I spoke to said they would provide a birthday dessert. When we arrived they knew none of this information. We were seated in probably one of the least desirable tables and no dessert. Food was good. Waitress was good. But, I had expectations that were not met so it was a little disappointing.
One of my customers celebrated a 50th Birthday and I thought it would be great to take Brad Bunt to Center Ice. Both customers said the prime rib was one of the best they had ever had. I enjoyed the burger, but should have had the prime rib....
A couple thoughts, when two people say that the meal is one of the best prime ribs they had and to tell the chef, it would be nice to see the chef make an effort to come and and say thank you. IT adds to the excitement and adds to the restaurant - (someone cares)
Secondly, if you know that someone is really celebrating a 50th birthday and want to come to see the Canucks to celebrate, Center Ice should do a little more for that customer.... a free drink, dessert or something special.
No matter.... I will be back again with more customers.
They should give out blankets for the girls at this place.
About as nice as you could expect at an arena. Nothing negative to say, but a little pricey. The Charcuterie board was great. Had a nice evening before the game.
Friendly staff and professional; menu okay but with prices that were breathtakingly hi. Food marginal at best. There is no value here for the money charged and I would not recommend Centre Ice as a place to have dinner either during or prior to a hockey game. I will definitely not be back.
We went to the Canucks vs. Flames game on Saturday, but before taking our seats, we went to Center Ice. We booked reservations on the OpenTable app, and when we showed up (25 minutes early) we got seated right away. Our server was pleasant and courteous, and the food was quite delicious. If you want to sit at a table while you eat, have a beer in a glass, and still make it to your seats in under 5 minutes, go to Center Ice Grill!! Prices are a little steep, but that is the way it is through all of Roger's Arena. Still worth it.
Wine prices ridiculously high. Could have bought a bottle @ liquor store for price of 8 oz glass.
Although the food was fairly good, it too was way to expensive!
Likely won't go back.
