Trip to NYC with my husband
Each time we come to visit NY, we go for lunch at the Boathouse.
It Is an incredible experience, you do not have to miss.
Food was great but service for a nice establishment like this was just okay. The server barely checked on us so I wasn’t able to tell him that the salad i orders without bacon came with bacon. I ate around it, but it would have been nice to have a follow up on our food throughout the meal. Otherwise the place is beautiful!
This was a memorable meal and a spectacular view. Thank you!
As a visitor to New York I enjoyed my visit to the Boathouse. The halibut was delicious! Drinks were on point and wine selection was good too. We sat by the water and the visit capped off a great trip to Central Park.
We had the special and the fish was delicious. A perfect lunch.
Very gracias portion! Food was super tasty! Best lunch view in Central Park!
Do not dismiss this place as a "tourist trap." It isn't cheap, but the food and setting are spectacular. We had a table overlooking the water on a beautiful early fall day. Our server was knowledgeable, attentive and friendly. My husband had a perfectly cooked piece of salmon that was an ample size for just about anyone. I had a beautiful salad nicoise with perfectly prepared seared rare tuna. We split a delicious creme brûlée for dessert. I highly recommend the Central Park Boathouse.
service is not okay no even asking if everything going ok or not！and tip force charging in the bill！
The service and food was exceptional! Everything was outstanding
OMG, outdoor dining at its absolute best, in town or from out of town this is the place to spoil yourself and your friends
Always a nice stop in Central Park. A bit pricey, but the service is great and the food is good
Couldn't have been any more wonderful: Fantastic, friendly service... an incomparable view... and exceptional food. We had the crab cake, lobster salad, and beets for lunch with a glass of Prosecco. The weather in Oct was balmy, so completed the mood. Will remember this day for a long time.
Great food and ambience.
We were seated quickly at a nice table, we were early for our 12:30 reso. The service was very good except when we asked for more bread, that seemed to throw them off. The monkfish was excellent and had a great flavor. The halibut special was very good but a little bland. Maybe a different or additional sauce would have helped. Golden beet salad very flavorful. The food was high quality. Entree came out before finished with the salad but we didn’t complain. Setting is lovely. Would definitely go back.
Wonderful service and wonderful food!
Loved everything about the experience. The bill was high - $90 w/tip - but well worth it.
This is a fabulous place to have lunch! It is the quintessential New York spot for a beautiful setting and a yummy meal. Book reservations early as it fills quickly.
The location was beautiful, our table setting had an amazing view, the service and food were excellent, would definitely recommend and will visit again in another trip to NYC
We love this iconic NYC treasure!!
You can't beat the food, service, and the location of this restaurant. It was a great way to spend our last lunch in The City.
Fabulous, highly recommend! Food was incredible, view was unbeatable and the cocktails were awesome!
It was a fantastic experience , the wait staff was amazing the food was delicious and you cannot beat the view!
Loved this spot! Enjoyed the crab cake and the creme brûlée was top drawer! Eager to go again. Great service from Clay..
This was my first time at the Central Park Boathouse, and I was very pleasantly surprised! We arrived 1/2 hour before it opened for our reservation to be sure to get a waterside table. The view of the lake just a few feet away, and the park beyond, cannot be beat. (One tip- be sure to bring vax card even though it seems like you are eating outdoors, it is technically considered indoor dining - crazy!). My grilled chicken salad was delicious and my dessert, creme brulee with berries, was addictive. My companion's lobster salad, however, was very small especially for the price. But of course you come here for the stunning view, not the best deal! The service was attentive but not intrusive. All in all, I would recommend highly!!
Lively place for 3 generations to celebrate a birthday....we've enjoyed this several times this year and it never disappoints.
This is a sanctuary when you want a relaxing meal away from the noise and congestion of city restaurants. The wait staff is very attentive but also respects your desire to linger and enjoy the setting by the water amidst the greenery of the park.
Our server proudly displayed his anti-vax and pro-gun beliefs by showing us proof of only one vaccine dose (that he said he had to get because he was about to get fired), while telling us how easy it is to fake the card, saying he’d had covid twice, and that he thinks all the precautions are unnecessary. For five minutes he stood over us speaking with no mask on. He also says that all people should have guns and likes what our governor is doing by not requiring permits to buy a gun. Why did he say these things? Because we are from Texas.
I’m all for making a connection with the person serving your food, but goodness - when someone says they don’t agree with you, maybe stop? If no one is responding after that, maybe get the hint?
Either way, the food was pretty good, scenery is great, and Central Park is lovely to walk around. And in appreciate that the restaurant is attempting to follow the rules to keep people safe.
The food was great. Amanda the server was wonderful and the ambiance was the best.
My parents were in the city visiting and we went for lunch - absolutely wonderful experience!
Fantastic experience…great food, ambience and service!
Anniversary plate courtesy of the restaurant.
What a beautiful place. There were seven of us and the hostess accommodated us.I had called earlier and said we had seven and they said they could do it. Reservations are so important here for dinner due to the limited staff. Sitting outside as the sun was setting seeing the boats and gondola coming in to park was beautiful. I would highly recommend this fabulous restaurant.
A wonderful experience! Highly recommend. The view is stunning and the food was delicious.
Beautiful day in Central Park. They got us a table right by the water. The food was excellent. Best mojito I've ever had. And they brought us out a complimentary dessert for our anniversary. We had a 330 reservation. We were seated right on time. We were done in just over an hour
The crab cakes and the crème brûlée are a MUST!!!
Lovely setting, very good food and terrific service.
Consistently good service and food. Good value given unique location.
The service was exceptional and good superb!
Everything was good, but I was surprised at how quickly the food was served after ordering (although it was a slow night), and that for a party of four a 15% gratuity was added to the bill.
