Central Park Boathouse
Need to book at 1:45 AM?Other great restaurants with availability.
The food was amazing and the view of the buildings over the serene pond were relaxing. We will be back!
Celebrated my brother and his girlfriend becoming lawyers and they went above and beyond to make it such a special occasion for everyone, the food was amazing!
40th birthday celebration
Wife wanted to go here as she had been here years ago and loved it. It did not disappoint. Had a wonderful meal the salmon was spectacular and the crab cake appetizer was great as well.
Delicious meal, great service and beautiful day!! Will definitely be back for another visit!
Great food, fabulous location and superb service.
Absolutely recommend to anyone a must see especially you’re traveling from overseas- like we do !
Great service and food. Beautiful view over the lake and the city skyline.
Visited in January 2020 with my wife, had an amazing lunch very good food and also found it to not be too expensive compared to what you would expect. I highly recommend this restaurant and if I find myself in Newyork again would definitely return.
1/7/20 excellent crab cakes!!!
Probably best food & definitely best service we received whilst in NYC
This was our honeymoon trip and we wanted to share a meal somewhere special. The Boathouse, Central Park was special. Despite the initial wait for our table,
which was a little chaotic, and the extended wait for our mains, (our waiter apologized profusely for this) we enjoyed our experience there. Food was beautiful and the setting sublime. The wine was also excellent! I felt we got value for money at The Boathouse and will return when next in NYC.
The restrooms line was crazy
Would be nice to separate the restaurant from the to go food
Made the nice restaurant feel like a tourist attraction around the bar
Great table location by the window overlooking the water which we requested.
Amazing venue, food and service! Very happy with everything
In reservations it never mentioned a shuttle; I mentioned in reservations it was a special birthday!!NEVER MENTIONED IT , I surely would have done something else!!
SNOBS! and yes we left a good tip !!! We were stupid all around!
Beautiful Christmas meal - the atmosphere was great, however, although we had a 2.30pm reservation we had to wait 1 hour to be seated. The bar was incredibly busy as passerby’s were using the restrooms and crowding the bar area...thankfully we have patient children.
We spent the day in nyc right before Christmas - Great ambience and food - if you are not ordering cocktails or wine then decent price for a nicer lunch in nyc - everyone loved their entrees -
I may have given an overall higher rating except that our main waiter was aloof bordering rude -the other wait staff made up for it - but unacceptable behavior for main waiter during holidays
Steak special was average at best. Sea scallops were delicious.
Food was as outstanding as the service from our server, whose name we believe was Gallo? He even offered to take our picture when he saw that I was taking a photo of my husband and son. Better yet, I’ve been getting positive comments on social about what a great pic it was. One of our favorite places to visit, especially at Christmas.
An epic location in Central Park
We had a great server who made recommendations. The food was delicious.
Day 1 in New York and this did not disappoint. Lovely feeling inside, including the temperature as it wasn’t too hot and stuffy. Thoroughly enjoyed our lunch.
Perfect location for an excellent lunch. Highly recommend.
I would have sent the tuna salad back if I saw the server after food was brought. No refills or extra bread. Host was nice. Beautiful venue. Loud and crowded but to be expected. Have gone before and I’ve been consistently disappointed, wont go back.
Service was great. Arrived early and got seated quickly
We love the Boathouse. It is our favorite restaurant and we are from California. Great service, great food and wonderful relaxing environment.
My request for a quiet, waterside table had been met so that made it a good experience on the day. Food was good, portions oversized for us as Brits. Would recommend and intend to return soon.
Wonderful experience. The food was amazing. The service was outstanding. We were visiting NYC from California . One of are memorable experiences while visiting New York. Definitely would recommend to put this on your list of Restaurants to go to.
We were at the boat house for our 44th wedding Anniversary and our dining experience was excellent! Our server Amanda was friendly , professional and took perfect care of us. David the boat house shuttle driver was friendly and courteous and helpful. Can't wait to come back
Thanks Amanda and David!
We had a great time at the boathouse, the staff moved our table to get a better view of the lake as it was our anniversary. The cost of food and drink is above average for the quality you are getting but the location is great.
Amazing location, food was gorgeous, staff really good
Fabulous meal amazing place a must when you are in New York.
A must, not because of the food but the atmosphere and location.
The service was excellent but the hamburgers were very red even though I asked for well done.
But we had a beautiful table, it was an unforgettable experience.
The setting is amazing especially on a blue sky day. Staff very efficient & helpful. Food amazing. Booking is a must. We would definitely re-visit.
Girls weekend with my daughter
Very disappointed with the greeting went arrived hostess was very rude . Overall no what I wish for
Fabulous food & pretty setting. Highly recommend. Lunchtime booking for group of 6 & all enjoyed
Made a late lunch reservation to celebrate our 15th anniversary since we got engaged at the Boat House. Boy, a lot has changed over the years!
It’s no longer an elegant exclusive place to dine. It’s a busy tourist trap that has zero crowd control and people wearing baggy sweats and baseball caps at the tables next to you.
You walk into the busy bar to see a huge line along the wall. Turns out the line is for the lone restroom that everyone in Central Park must be utilizing. If you are a diner there you are screwed.
If you don’t know where to check in and you end up at the coffee shop side, they’re not very friendly with guiding you to the hostess podium that is in the bar - it gets hidden by all of the people surrounding it.
We were seated quickly thankfully because of our reservation. Wait staff was friendly.
Food came out oddly quickly. Lobster tostada appetizer is bland. Sea bass specialty had no crispiness on the skin side that was served face up - lots of steam coming out of it which leads me to believe the thing was just microwaved.
We skipped on coffee and dessert.
The nostalgic part was nice but won’t need to return!
