So glad you have reopened! Everything was wonderful!
It was a special time for my friend and I to have lunch at the Boathouse! The food was delicious, the service was great! Couldn’t the ask anything more!! Kathleen and Wendy
Took my son here for lunch on his 18th birthday. Staff was very attentive and accommodating. My sister brought a birthday cake for him and they plated it and delivered it with candles, singing and fanfare. Everyone went out of their way to make this a special day for him. Food was delicious and you can't beat the view!
Lovely, my favorite place in New York City.....The Boat House is very special
Niece birthday, a lovely atmosphere to catch up and enjoy a meal with beautiful scenery. Food was very nice and tasty. Our waitress was so nice and kind. Very nice to catch late afternoon rays against the pond. Nice to enjoy a drink or afternoon coffee. Hope it can stay open later and longer for more enjoyment in the summer time while still very light outside.
As always, exceptional service from the staff.
What a delightful place this is. The setting is lovely, the atmosphere is lively without being so noisy that you cannot have a conversation - at least at a table at the end near the stairs! You don't need to be right on the water to have a fabulous view. I ordered a crab cake appetizer, which was delicious; my companion had the salade niçoise, which had perfectly seared raw tuna and a very generous portion of nicely sauced salad. Clearly, top notch ingredients were used in both dishes: the fresh taste of the crab and tuna showed they were of the best quality. The service was quite professional - and is included in the bill, so do not do what we did and add a regular tip on top of it. (Our waiter returned our signed bill, so we could change our minds!) It is hard to get a table at the restaurant but it is definitely worth it for a special occasion.
Wonderful service of delicious food in an incomparable setting.
Fantastic great servers and food
Go for the view, and the service was great as well. Food is ok at best, my cast iron crispy chicken was soggy, and other courses had that pre made feel, not worth the price.
But again, service was very good, great ambience and view, perfect
Perfect. Amazing view on a day of perfect weather. Delicious food. Charming & extremely attentive staff. A great bottle of wine. Highly recommended. Go! We will be back, regularly.
Staff was rude.
Loved it. A little pricey but it’s NYC and in Central Park so it’s expected.
Such a beautiful restaurant with delicious food. Definitely pay for the view & ambience. Service that day was slow moving, but we love coming here.
Always such an incredible experience! The view is breathtaking and the food and service is impeccable. If you can get there close to sunset, do it! A true NYC landmark and a jewel of the park.
The waitstaff is really overwhelmed. It is obvious that they are overbooked with not enough workers. Perhaps the management should spare some money on hiring the staff..?
The Boat House is back! The staff from the front reception to Edgar, our waiter, was wonderful. Food was great, view amazing! Thanks for a great Easter Sunday dinner!
Easter menu was delightful and of course, that beautiful view of the lake and boats and people outside enjoying the day!
So happy we could celebrate Easter at the boathouse! Staff was so accommodating and food was excellent.
The service was very poor, our appetizers took over an hour. The servers seemed to have forgot about us most of the time and were not very helpful when we had questions. Felt like dining at one of those Hell's Kitchen restaurants overflowing with tourists dining before a broadway show instead of a relaxing upscale brunch experience that we had hoped for.
Inconsistency with waiters and staff. Felt like we had 3 waiters. Scattered service. But nice nonetheless.
It wasn’t online that brunch was a dinner menu and $89 per person. That was a terrible thing to do to people on Easter.
It was my son's 18th bday, I told them twice, and I kind of wish they did something to commemorate it, but they didn't. Ordered a Moscow mule that came in a bulky water glass, and wasn't very good. Otherwise, each dish was really very good and zero complaints about the service, would recommend as a worthwhile touristy place or little special occasion. Its really a pretty view and the food was good.
Lovely experience, fresh food and beautiful location.
What a joy to return to this wonderful setting, and to treat oneself to an excellent meal supported by the wonderfully supportive staff.
Wonderful setting and excellent food and service
One of my favorite places in the city. We were a little worried that it wouldn't be the same after closing last year, but when it reopened we were more than excited to try it and it did not disappoint. We got married there a few years back and the food was one of the highlights. It remains spectacular. The view is also unbeatable, we sat in the room where the weddings are usually held next to the doors so we could feel the breeze and hear mother nature. The service was impeccable and the menu remains great. So happy to know everything remains as amazing as ever,
A wonderful experience at the newly reopened Central Park Boathouse. Food was divine, table was a waterfront table and just perfect. Loved the cheesecake and also the pink peppercorn ice cream. The only small thing was that the description says there is a shuttle that picks up guests at 5th and 72nd but we waited and didn’t see any shuttle. There is about a 10 min walk from E 72 and 5th through Central Park to the Boathouse and it was beautiful with all the cherry blossoms in bloom. Just good to keep in mind for those who walk more slowly or need assistance. All in all a wonderful experience!
Beautiful setting , wonderful menu and excellent service.
We used. to love this restaurant. This time we were with our kids and they placed us in the worst table of the restaurant,, and the restaurant was not even close to be full. Very disappointed.
Great staff and food was delicious!
It's wonderful to have the Central Park Boathouse back!
Just a beautiful and delicious way to experience a meal in a restaurant in a lovely setting again!
Good to have the boat house back! Good menu.
Only negative was the hotness inside
very elegant dining. Portions on the small side. Especially the crab cake for $23
After a some negotiation with the hostess I got my favorite table. Was a little surprised since the restaurant was pretty much empty. We had a wonderful waiter named Angel. He was very attentive but not pushy. The drinks were superb. The food plentiful. The view amazing. I'm so happy you are back in business. This is such an oasis in the City.
Wonderful setting. Large spacious area with amazing views of the lake.
My partner and I took our toddler here for brunch on the day of their reopening it was so pretty. Service was absolutely wonderful and the food was great. Our server Was the sweetest lady I believe she was from Australia. Definitely going back later this summer !
Such a beautiful spot. So glad I was there on the 1st day of reopening. Service was friendly and efficient. Will go back again.
