Great location, lovely food and staff. It was a special anniversary occasion for us and Angel, Gene and staff took care of us well.

Food was amazing, service was absolutely amazing - so pleased we went a fabulous experience!

Was at the boathouse in March . It was a beautiful day and the boathouse opened back their windows . Food was exceptional and service fantastic . It was a special meal for my friends birthday and it didn’t disappoint.

I would say this place is lucky to have the happy Aussie guy, he provided some sort of nice service.
The hostess was the worst, she didn’t even look up at me when I told I had a reservation and in what name. She’s in the wrong business field.

Exceptional food and service!

The girls on the front desk were unwelcoming and unhelpful. It made for a terrible first impression, we’re from the UK and I’d built my visit here up to be a really special occasion so was really saddened to have such an unfriendly greeting. Food was okay but I had a hair in my cocktail. Really disappointing, not at all what I expected.

Food was great but service was terrible. Ordered drinks that were never delivered but included on our bill. Did not see a server until food arrived so could not even remind anyone about our drinks.

I loved the experience! What a view of the park we had from our table! The food was delicious.

Food undercooked. Due to this we could not all eat together at the same time.. Meals had to be sent back and revoked. Got the feeling from the start we were not really welcome. Order was wrong, ordered 2 soups and only one delivered very poor service will not book again

Beautiful view over the water. Would love to visit again in the summer. Service and food were lovely.

Most of the service was amazing. However one of the 2 gentlemen who waited I e me was short and barely checked in, only twice. The other server was so sweet and nice.

I missed a vegan menu.

I ate pasta and salad and found the price / performance ratio not good. Pasta costs 36 ? dollar.

Lovely food, the crab cake was amazing! View was very nice we had a window seat overlooking the lake.

The food, service and restaurant was simply outstanding. As a family of 5 we all agreed the it was one of the best dining experiences in NYC. The dishes we we had: Eye Fillet, Lamb Shanks, Road Chicken, Cheese cake and apple pie.... all were absolutely delicious.

The food was amazing and the view of the buildings over the serene pond were relaxing. We will be back!

Celebrated my brother and his girlfriend becoming lawyers and they went above and beyond to make it such a special occasion for everyone, the food was amazing!

40th birthday celebration

Wife wanted to go here as she had been here years ago and loved it. It did not disappoint. Had a wonderful meal the salmon was spectacular and the crab cake appetizer was great as well.

Delicious meal, great service and beautiful day!! Will definitely be back for another visit!

Visited in January 2020 with my wife, had an amazing lunch very good food and also found it to not be too expensive compared to what you would expect. I highly recommend this restaurant and if I find myself in Newyork again would definitely return.

Probably best food & definitely best service we received whilst in NYC

This was our honeymoon trip and we wanted to share a meal somewhere special. The Boathouse, Central Park was special. Despite the initial wait for our table,
which was a little chaotic, and the extended wait for our mains, (our waiter apologized profusely for this) we enjoyed our experience there. Food was beautiful and the setting sublime. The wine was also excellent! I felt we got value for money at The Boathouse and will return when next in NYC.

Would be nice to separate the restaurant from the to go food
Made the nice restaurant feel like a tourist attraction around the bar

In reservations it never mentioned a shuttle; I mentioned in reservations it was a special birthday!!NEVER MENTIONED IT , I surely would have done something else!!
SNOBS! and yes we left a good tip !!! We were stupid all around!

Beautiful Christmas meal - the atmosphere was great, however, although we had a 2.30pm reservation we had to wait 1 hour to be seated. The bar was incredibly busy as passerby’s were using the restrooms and crowding the bar area...thankfully we have patient children.

We spent the day in nyc right before Christmas - Great ambience and food - if you are not ordering cocktails or wine then decent price for a nicer lunch in nyc - everyone loved their entrees -

I may have given an overall higher rating except that our main waiter was aloof bordering rude -the other wait staff made up for it - but unacceptable behavior for main waiter during holidays

Steak special was average at best. Sea scallops were delicious.

Food was as outstanding as the service from our server, whose name we believe was Gallo? He even offered to take our picture when he saw that I was taking a photo of my husband and son. Better yet, I’ve been getting positive comments on social about what a great pic it was. One of our favorite places to visit, especially at Christmas.
