First time here - found it based on strong Yelp reviews since I don't live in the area. Excellent, friendly service and the food was great! Would definitely go back if I get the chance.
A great place in Venice. I live in Dallas but come to LA once a month. I always find time for Centanni .
The food was excellent as I tried everyone else's pasta especially the pappardelle but the lobster ravioli was quite disappointing imo.
Great neighborhood restaurant with friendly staff and solid Italian dishes. Def recommend!
Over all good food.
We love Centanni. What can I say? It is a wonderful neighborhood restaurant that has it all: it has wonderful food [we can't say enough about the Filet of Sole] and great wines by the glass; it is consistent and never disappoints.
one of my favorite neighborhood restaurants. always consistent, the service is fantastic.
Very good food, ample portions, excellent value, friendly and attentive service.
Centanni is my favorite restaurant. I’ve introduced many people to it.
Love Love Love this restaurant
Delicious! If you want authentic italian food, this is your spot. Try the Gnocchi, and def save room for the canoli's at the end! So good. Enjoy!
Great food but service was very slow. We waited about half hour from the time we ordered to get the food. It could be just bad timing but this time it was way slower than most restaurants we’ve been to.
I expected good but it was better. The food and service were first rate for an important dinner.
It was wonderful for a group dinner. Food was plentiful and delicious!
Local gem. Food was very tasty and portions were large. Really enjoyed our meal and will definitely return.
The food is incredible, but just as important the staff makes the dining experience something special every time we have been here.
First visit to Centanni since they started full menu dinner service, as we live
a couple of blocks away, great to find a delicious, reasonably priced, comfortable
dining experience close by, now that Abbott Kinney has become a Cluster swamp on the weekends for all of LA -
Recomend it for Great food and excellent service
Service was disappointingly slow. They should have offered something complementary.
Consistently great food with creative twists, and friendly service. Great pasta and interesting specials (duck ravioli was terrific), and no-pasta dishes (filet of sole on large bed of cooked spinach always wonderful, and lots of great salads)
It's time Los Angeles restaurants to get it together! Dining at a restaurant is about three things: quality of food, service, and overall experience. I treated my family to a Holiday dinner on Dec 29 at Centanni. The quality of the food was so-so, service was minimal, and overall experience was a "no go". Where's the "may I tell you about the specials, can I offer you dessert, you should try our ___?" Where's the Holiday cheer -- at least a candle or ? on the tables or wreath on the wall to celebrate the Holidays --- Where's the actual "experience" of it all. Not at Centanni's, sadly.
Wonderful food and service!
Filet of sole is to die for. I find it hard to order anything else. Delicious. Wish servers would stop coming to table while still eating to wisk plates away. Find it disruptive and infuriating. Otherwise like dining here very much
We accidentally found this restaurant and have come back multiple times. We think their cuisine is the best Italian in the area! We've tried many other places but Centanni's beats them hands down!
Best Italian in the Marina area. Now in my favorites list.
This place is so good! Amazing homemade Italian. I especially love the gnocchi and you have to save room for dessert. The cannolis!! Yum. Check it out.
Great food and service always !
great neighborhood restaurant. The food is outstanding. We have been
eating here since it opened !!
I live close to this restaurant and have dined there many times. The food can be great, and it can be poor; inconsistency is the main reason I don’t dine here more often. I believe that the food and service are better early in the evening, or on a midweek evening; once they get busy, everything deteriorates. My table request was ignored, my lasagne was burned almost through, the busser is too aggressive, the place too noisy when it fills up.
Centanni is a nice go to place that offers predictably good food, a welcome ambience, and personalized service. We have visited on numerous occasions to the point that we have our own table and server who goes out of her way to ensure that we have a pleasant evening, A definite place fo those who enjoy Italian food in a casual ambience.
Pasta is homemade and always delicious. Flourless chocolate cake with a glass of Cabernet is a must.
This was our second time dining here. The food is unbelievable. Their meatballs and burrata with prosciutto and arugala are both outstanding. Everything we’ve had there is great. It’s not to be missed.
The grilled artichokes were delicious as was the aurora sauce the penne arrabiata was great with added sausage and peppers. Service was fabulous Very nice evening
I love Centanni's. The food is always fantastic as well as the service!
I discovered this place a month or so ago and since have brought several friends here for dinner. The food is exceptional. Their Seafood Risotto Special and their Steak are the two dishes I've had and keep coming back to. My dinner companions that include out of town guests, locals and a couple from Barcelona in Los Angeles for the first time, have all greatly enjoyed their meals. Their food is matched by the quality and attentiveness of the service. This is my go-to place for dinner with guests.
Best avoided during daylight hours. Filthy. Incredibly soiled carpets. Menus had something oily on them, as did the wine list. Maybe the incredible views distract others?
I can't comment on the food. I left without ordering due to general lack of cleanliness.
It bothers me to say such harsh things about a business. But I simply have nothing else to share.
I love going to Centanni's. It's a neighborhood place that has good food and is always warm and welcoming.
This is a real neighborhood gem. Best risotto in town.
Amazing Italian food! The flavors were amazing and the ingredients were fresh.
Been here many times and have never had a disappointment. The food is always so delicious and thoughtfully prepared, and the corkage fee is reasonable as are the prices, in general. They do have a thoughtful and reasonable wine list. Parking is a bit of a challenge, but I'd walk any reasonable distance to enjoy the wonderful food and great service. Millicent is ne plus ultra as a waiter--charming, efficient and attentive.
We love this place.. their food it always very good!
