This was our First time here. I read the reviews on Open Table, Browsed the online menu, and liked what a read. All the staff was really nice and attentive. It was a nice vibe. Our server was very knowledgeable and helpful. THE FOOD WAS AMAZING! We started with the Sautéed Shrimp. My Date had the Filet of Sole either sautéed spinach, with a side of Mashed potatoes. I had the Salmon with sautéed spinach and roasted potatoes. The prices are Really Reasonable. We are definitely coming back.
This is simply the best restaurant in Burbank for great food, ambiance, and intimate conversation. No other place comes close. Helen is amazing, and the conviviality she brings to her restaurant is otherworldly.
Great staff!! Friendly service and food is authentic! I love it here!
A fairly limited menu, but enough variety to satisfy those with a craving for basic Italian food. Both the spinach and steak ravioli and the lasagna were excellent and left just enough room to share the 4 pieces of cannoli. Service was prompt, polite and friendly.
It was nice but not special. Food was ok and drinks were limited as far as choice.
Amazing place to spend time with the family. The food was great.
The food was delicious and the service was great!
We love everything about Centanni!!!
Every time we go to Centanni -- it is a lock that it will be great. The serving staff (Tommy is one -- so terrific) and Helen who is the owner and greeter -- couldn't be more wonderful. The food is absolutely mouth watering. Our friends echoed our love for this place.
Go! Enjoy! You'll be so happy there.
The food is amazing! Like many restaurants these days it seems like they are having difficulty finding experienced help. There was 5 of us dining and the young man who brought the food out had no idea who ordered what and what the dishes were... we were left to try and figure out what was what, which was a challenge since many of the dishes look the same. As a result one member of our group did not get what she ordered. The server said they would bring her the correct meal, but it never did come out of the kitchen. Unfortunate. I blame the pandemic and next time I will make sure to ask an experienced server to identify the various dishes so they are served to the correct person.
My partner and I enjoyed our an anniversary dinner date here, after having a difficult day and canceling a reservation elsewhere. The staff here made our experience really special without being over the top. The service was courteous and efficient, there was only one server for the 5 tables seated when we got there a little after 8pm and he was friendly and attentive, never rushing us, despite it being close to closing. The woman whom I assume was the owner was really lovely, checked in on us midway and greeted me by name from my reservation as we entered. They even surprised us with a free dessert for our anniversary! The ambiance is cozy and minimal. There isn’t really any noise absorption but you could have a quiet conversation pretty easily without overhearing neighboring tables. Food was simple and so great - we got the artichoke hearts, tagliatelle ragu, and bistecca. The artichoke hearts were cooked perfectly, the pasta was fresh and delicious, ragu well-seasoned, and steak was cooked perfectly at medium rare with fresh veggies and simple delicious mashed potatoes. This is not some swanky Italian place, but feels like a comfortable and home-cooking kind of spot you could go for a lowkey special occasion or just a regular Thursday night. We had an extremely pleasant experience and look forward to coming back!
Always good food and nice staff.
Love this place - proper Italian food! Never crowded. Easy free parking. One of best restaurants in Burbank (which is full of chain restaurants)…
I met a colleague there for a quick dinner midway on our commutes, and we were not disappointed. We shared the fried calamari appetizer, and each went for pasta--sage/butternut ravioli for me and the pasta arrabiata for my friend. Limited to wine and beer--but the service was great and the food was plentiful and delicious.
It smelled bad. Really bad.
As always the food and fun at Centanni is second to none. Dash there! Tell your friends! You'll be so happy and so well fed.
Food was delicious! Only reason I don’t give service a full 5 stars was because the kitchen was a bit behind so we waited for our food longer than we had hoped (a little over half hour). But the hostess and servers were all polite and so warming when we came in. Will definitely be coming back.
We had a lovely time - the service and food was exceptional
Gnocchi Ragu and Chicken Marsala was delicious. Service was great!
Amazing as usual. Many thanks to Helen and her incredible team! This is a true neighborhood gem.
Outstanding food and service, love this hidden gem in Burbank
Always a great experience.
Food was delicious and not over priced!
Owner was sweet and checked on us a few times.
Centanni never disappoints. The food is always delicious and the waitstaff is attentive, friendly and efficient.
We love the outside seating tent that has been set up because of Covid and feel very safe and comfortable outside dining. Hope that they continue to offer this option for folks like us who tend to want to go out but want to feel safe during the pandemic.
We wholeheartedly recommend Centanni.
Centanni Burbank offers inside, outside and take out upscale Italian food. The staff is friendly and service was efficient. The food was better than ever so I recommend eating at the restaurant if possible. We had chicken marsala and salmon in champagne sauce and both dishes were heavenly.
I will definitely return and bring friends. Excellent food and service. No pressure to order more than makes sense.
Love this place, eat here at least once per month. Love the Salmon Grigliatto and seafood risotto.
Reservation was given and confirmed at the time they closed apparently. We were the only ones there and we felt like we had to rush since the kitchen was closing the moment we walked in. Food was great, but the overall experience was awkward.
What a pleasant hidden gem! This neighborhood trattoria in Burbank is a must visit. The food (lasagna, Pollo Piccata and parmesan fries) were all piping hot and delicious.
Mauricio (our waiter) and Helen (the owner) were helpful and delightful. We will be back!
The food was amazing. Great customer service from everyone. We will be going back as usuals guest from now on
We enjoyed two birthday celebrations during this dinner. We had a guest from the east coast and it was nice to show off our “local Italian spot”. As usual the owner Helen was gracious as ever. The new menu was yummy but we love our favorites like the Sole and the Calamari. The Sautéed shrimp starter is so yummy we had to get two to start. The specials aren’t to missed like the NZ lamb chops, the ravioli w rib eye was delish esp w the addition of burrata on top.
May I suggest if you have a special evening planned, request Thomas as your server. He is attentive and service oriented. He wasn’t our server on this evening but we did have him as our server the week prior and we noticed the difference. He was kind enough to get us condiments and other things we needed even though we weren’t in his section, that’s a good server!
Yummy authentic Italian dishes in a cozy atmosphere. Super nice staff!
I would love to have a place like this in my neighborhood! The other guests seemed like regulars, which was a good sign. We ordered the calamari, ravioli di zucca (pumpkin ravioli), and guazzetto di pesce (seafood soup). The calamari was a touch overcooked, but everything else was excellent. We didn't have any alcohol as both of us were driving right afterwards, but the wine list looked extensive. Service is attentive and welcoming. There's a small parking lot attached and street parking doesn't seem like it would be an issue. Overall, my companion and I had a great experience and would definitely come again if we were in the area.
We always enjoy our meal time here at Centanni. Flavors and atmosphere are just right. The owner, Helen, is a gem. Super accommodating.
Centanni is a neighborhood Gem !!! The food is fresh and so flavorful ..
The service is wonderful and Helen who ownes Centanni makes sure she comes to say hello and makes you feel like your in her home ..
Centanni is our go to when we are in the mood for delicious Italian food that’s freshly made.
We enjoyed some of our favorites the light and crispy calamari & a new addition the grilled artichoke
Hearts Yum, we also had two blackboard specials one favorite the sole w lemon sauce and the NZ lamb chops that came w the most delicious potatoes w spinach. We also enjoyed the seafood soup full of clams calamari and shrimp, I had the grilled shrimp ap as my main w a side of pasta
The desserts are always a hit too, save room for their crime brûlée, the gelato was nice too. As always Helen’s warm greeting and table touch to assure everything was to her high standards is what keeps us coming back.
Our server Thomas was personable and did a great job.
We’ll be back soon for another Centanni feast.
Amazing as always we go once a week
When you walk in they great you like a family especially the owner she knows us by our names comes over talks to us takes us to our table
I would highly recommend Centanni Trattoria.
We've been to Centanni many times and have always enjoyed the food and the friendly service.
Food was very very dry. Had to order a side of marinara sauce to make the food eatable. The bread was terrible. Very dry, chalky and crumbly, not soft like bread should be. The Staff was very nice and friendly however the Waiter dropped off our food and just left, he didn't even offer to put black pepper or parmagian cheese on my pasta. I had to get up out of my table, walk up to him and ask for black pepper.
The ambiance was weird. The music they played was Broadway showtunes instead of classical Italian songs. They had TV screens throughout the restaurant flashing pictures of animals and Hollywood Celebrities which was very strange considering the photos had nothing to do with Italy or Italian food. I'm glad they weren't blasting pop songs or showing sports or the news on the TVs like it was a Sports Bar, but still it was strange.
So so good!! The owner Helen is wonderful and really goes out if her way to make sure your order has been done right. Portions are big!
