Celli's Osteria - Permanently Closed Ratings and Reviews
It was our first visit to Celli's. OUr request for a window table was fulfilled. Our request for a
leisurely dinner was also honoured. Our waiter was personable and attentive.
My Arugula and beet salad was good but I thought small for the $12.00 price.
I ordered the pasta bolognese, which was nothing special especially for the heafty price of
$25.00. My friend was happy with her personal pizza with squash and at $16.00 was a
My cappucino was disappointingly small.
I will not visit again.
The food was great, we had calameri, pizza and spaghetti with meatballs. There was a big group that night and our meals were really delayed. The manager proactively apologized and offered us desserts on the house to compensate. Nice touch. The almond terrine was awesome.
The food was simply amazing. My wife had the caprese salad and the side rib special and I had the Linguini did Mare. It was one of the best pasta experience I've had outside of Italy. Dan was our server and he was very knowledgeable, helpful, and attentive. Great experience and would definitely recommend.
The food was amazing. The gnudi was to die for. Both of our husbands got steaks and loved them. Our server was very friendly and knowledgable of the menu. She directed us towards items that definitely suited our pallets. Would highly recommend.
Excellent wine, excellent food, excellent service. I have been coming here for years, usually on special occasions, as it is not cheap, but you definitely get what you pay for. I have come here for every first date I have ever been on. If you are coming here for a special occasion with friends or family you haven't seen in a while I would suggest getting a private room, as sometimes normal seating can be a little too noisy. Usually not a problem, however. Overall, this restaurant has excellent value for what you pay for, the people here are very professional and courteous, the food is authentically Italian, but contemporary, and their wine list is fantastic. I will certainly continue coming here.
We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and enjoyed yet again, a fabulous meal! We just love the
Italian cuisine, and next time, after seeing the pizza's our neighbour diners were having, going
to have a delicious pizza! Topped off with a fine glass of fine wine, another dinner to look
We had to wait a few extra minutes to be seated once we arrived since it was very busy (Valentine's Day), however, the experience was great once we were. Our waitress was very friendly and informative about the menu and was able to give us a point of view on many dishes to help us decide what to order. She was attentive in making sure we always had what we needed, and she had a great sense of humor which made the experience even better. The food was fantastic as well, we ordered calamari to start, which was delicious, and for main dishes, we were recommended the pizza since the restaurant is known for it. I ordered Diavolo and my boyfriend ordered Carne and we were blown away. Both were perfection! We will definitely be going back!
You could tell that our waiter, Dan, had been working there a long time. He was quick, kind and friendly. He knew what he was doing. He engaged in light conversation and took our order and brought our food promptly. He recommended the tiramisu, which was to die for. The food was authentic and comforting. My parents and I quite enjoyed our experience. Will certainly go back. Thank you!
The food was excellent. Our server was outstanding and her recommendations were bang on. We had two appetizers, 4 drinks and two main courses as well as two speciality coffees and desert and our bill came out to about $135 all included. I thought that was very reasonable as the food quality was outstanding and everything was fresh. Will definitely go back there.
The trouble is...what to have.... We LOVE the Pizza but feel that we are missing out by not venturing forth. So this time we all had something different and we passed the plates! I had the Gnudi...OMG it was really really good, so light! Delish! The Diablo Pizza was great, as always and we all loved the Meatballs! In our experience ALL the appies are great!
If you havent been to Celli`s you ought to give this Italian gem a try.
We've been here numerous times before and good is always very good. But this time we found it was just "okay" maybe due to what we ordered. Service was also quite slow and the chefs platter was barely enough for 4 adults. We will still come back but we just noticed it was not as good as previous visits.
