Very nice receptionist seated us at a quiet table and came back to see how we were doing and how we liked the food. Very impressed with her, Just a nice overall place and good prices!
Cellini was fantastic! The food was great and the service was outstanding.
Cellini is our go to for incredible Italian with great service. Can’t wait to go back!
One of my favorite restaurants in Manhattan - never disappoints!
As usual and excellent local dining experience. Experienced long tenures staff. Extensive menu with flexible to specify what you’d like. Always enjoyable.
Came highly recommended and fell short. Food was okay but cost way too high. I have no issue paying for good quality food and this was way overpriced for what we had.
Great all around, good service and food always
The lighting was ideal, the food was good, a perfectly sized restaurant for an intimate dining experience.
Always good food and service whenever we take friends.
Cellini is a good old-fashioned Italian place. The food isn't novel, but the place doesn't aim for novel. It's well executed, served professionally. From appetizer to dessert, all good.
Good quality, straight forward meal with very attentive service.
Great value for mid-town locale....service unassuming and efficient, overall ambiance is warm and friendly , food is solid S Italian cuisine - the dover sole was surprisingly Excellent! on my regular list for NYC trips
Good solid Italian food with fast courteous service.
The food was great. Service was okay. The only thing I was not too happy with was although I had a reservation, I had to wait to be seated since my colleague was running late. In the meantime, people who came after me were seated before me.
I used to love Cellini (have my wedding rehearsal dinner there and a few great meals) but haven't been in a few years and god have things changed. The service was awful, there were four of us and we had to flag someone to order, and then it took almost an hour for our apps. we were begging for some olives or cheese for the center of the table we were so hungry. But then the food came and it was awful. The chicken my husband had was like airplane food and my pasta carbanara was just watery overcooked spaghetti with watery/milky tasteless sauce. I had two bites and pushed it away. And the waiter when he took the plate away didn't even ask if something was wrong. We all left disappointed, though enjoyed each others company, but we won't go or recommend Cellini again.
My impromptu dinner experience after arriving in NY in the evening from Denver was excellent. They accommodated me at the last minute. I had the veal parmigiana and it was delightful. The tomato sauce was light and did not mask the taste of the veal, which is a problem often encountered at other Italian restaurants. It included some tasty vegetables and a small dollop of mashed potatoes. There was plenty of food on the large plate. The service was prompt and courteous. Although I was alone, I did not feel alone with all the attention I got from the staff. The maitre d' even sat down with me and talked for a while. A small plate of tasty Italian cookies was provided, gratis, with my after dinner coffee. The ambience is cozy and authentic Italian. It is a smaller, comfortable neighborhood style restaurant, good for families and adults.
This was our second visit to Cellini and came away with the same satisfaction with our meal and the service. Have already recommended it to a number of people!
Consistently good, great for business lunch as they get you in and out
Always the best. Never a let down. Service is impeccable and attentive.
Cellini never disappoints whether for a business lunch or an evening with friends. Food is delicious and the service is attentive.
Nothing exciting Food was bland - waiter couldn't figure out how to give us our check - gave us check for another table. I would not go back
Food was delicious and people were great! It’s a small little spot so a bit tight. Also, food arrives very quickly. It seemed a bit rushed. Overall very nice. Would go back!
Great overall Italian, menu selection, well priced, friendly service.
We went here by 4 people.
They added 20% service charge on Bill automatically.
Excellent food in a pleasant environment. The tables are well spaced. The service was smooth and unobtrusive. Will definitely return.
We've spent lots of time in Midtown east, and have walked by the "un-buzzworthy" Cellini a thousand times. Finally went in on a cold winter night and our only regret is we didn't do it sooner. It's old-school, neighborhood, white tablecloth Italian, closer to up-scale than sauce bucket. Service was warm and friendly but not cloying, and the menu was a straightforward collection of the usual pastas, chicken and veal. Comfortable seating in a relaxing, cozy room.
Yes, the veggies were just a minute or two past crispy, and the bread - while tasty - not warmed before serving, but portions were ample, the cauliflower soup (a special) was fabulous, the lasagna hearty and tasty, etc. And the prices are surprisingly reasonable; maybe the best dinner value in this pricey part of town. (All but the drinks, that is. It's a decent pour, but we paid $18 each for a scotch before dinner!)
It was an amazing night due to the staff who made the night special along with the food was outstanding!
We enjoyed our dinner at Cellini, the food was excellent and the staff very helpful and friendly.
Superb food, attentive service and nicely priced. Lively atmosphere on the second floor. Would highly recommend.
Good food. Servers had a bit of an attitude that detracted from experience.
The best meal we had during a week long Christmas stay in new York. As good as Jeffrey Zacharian's "The National", and better, by far, than the Plaza's "Todd English Food Hall".
Cellini will be a stop whenever we find ourselves in Manhattan.
Cellini was recommended by a friend and it turned out well . The service was great, staff was friendly and the food was one of the best my wife and myself have ever had. We are trying to find time to make it back to the city just so we can go there again.
Great food, but the service was very fast paced and not personal for the price.
Pre-holiday crowd, very noisy but not really a problem. We had a corner table which allowed us to converse. Very good food. Prompt service. (The waiters were really hustling!) Favorite eating place in that part of town.
Food came out way too quick we hadn’t even finished our bread yet and are main dish was brought out.
Good food and service. Very noisy and set us back near the bathroom.
The food was excellent, the service fantastic, and the price was average for the city. We went there for a date but felt like we were sitting with the people to the left and to the right of us because we were seated so close. We literally had to move our table to get up from our seats.
Cozy with delicious food- with so many Italian restaurants in nyc nice to find an authentic spot - great ambience and delicious food- the octopus appetizer was fabulous - all salads well prepared - numerous pasta selections- the bolognese was perfect - veal dishes too - fish was cooked to perfection- nice varied wine list - excellent service too - enjoy
