About Cellar 6
Created after the California Wine Bar trend back in 2008, our quaint family owned and operated restaurant serves St. Augustine’s only Urban Cuisine in a casual upscale environment. We started out as a cozy wine bar serving tapas to compliment the wine featuring local artists artwork displayed on our walls. Based on customers overwhelming response we evolved to be a full-service restaurant and bar. Original pieces of wood from a 100-year-old barn in Maryland trim the bar, entryway, and hallway keeping with the old-world feel of St. Augustine. Guests also enjoy the contemporary aspects of Cellar 6 including touches of modern lighting, chalkboard art work, and furnishings. It is our goal at Cellar 6 to provide an inviting environment to enjoy dinner and conversations with those important to you with excellent service. Cellar 6 attracts the young and old, locals and tourists. The restaurant in open daily at 4:30 pm for dinner.

Cellar 6 Ratings and Reviews
Food and service was great. Only issue was when we checked in early for our reservations the hostess forgot about us and sat other guests ahead of us. The food was prepared perfectly and our server was phenomenal. Very engaging and had a strong grasp on the menu despite being relatively new. We will definitely be back on our next of many trips to St. Augustine.
It was Valentine’s Day, so it was really busy and really loud. The waiter was not specific when describing the specials. The filet came out with seafood on it, not good when the person doesn’t eat seafood. My fish was over cooked and tough and the carrots were raw. The ambiance is nice, loved the red lights ! I would recommend this restaurant for drinks and appetizers or late night
Ruined our Valentine's Day! Server was poorly trained and not knowledgeable. Menus (I-Pad)
were scarce, so we both could not view a menu at the same time...very awkward. For a place named "Cellar 6", had a very poor wine selection...only ONE French red and only ONE Italian red, both poor quality choices. They were pushing "wine on tap". Quality and preparation of food were good, but WAY over priced. Many other top quality restaurants in the area are more reasonably priced, with trained servers and quality wine lists. We will never return!
We really wanted to love this restaurant. Even with a reservation, our server seemed quite annoyed with us (4 non-drinking young women). In fact, we almost left, but gave her a second chance. Happily, the manager took over serving us and really made up for her. He was a blast. I hope she is an exception, and that everyone else has a great time in the future. However, we will not be back and we wouldn't recommend it.
We were very keen to try Cellar 6 and waited for the first available reservation at 9pm. The hostess was lovely but once we sat down we were completely ignored by multiple staff members that walked past our table. We left without being able to try the food.
Our server was in the weeds, poor attention to our needs. Food was okay, not great by any means- we both ordered specials very disappointed. Not a good sign when your apps arrive before your drinks and my water was constantly empty. Very loud atmosphere...not good for a romantic date but certainly for a happy hour with friends.
We have been here a number of times and have never been disappointed in either the food or the service. This visit was different in that a kitchen fan broke and there was some smoke in the restaurant. Although they were going to close early, we were not rushed at all. The bartender, waitress, and manager all apologized to us. Later, in the evening, the owner called my wife and apologized again and thanked us for our business. He told us to contact him before our next visit. This type of personal touch is why we dine locally and not at a chain restaurant.
Our experience at Cellar 6 was great! Our server, Andrew, was excellent! Very accommodating, checked on us a lot, kept our water glasses filled. The food was outstanding. My husband had the strip steak special last Saturday night. It was great. I had the best ever chicken Caesar salad. The chicken was so tender it melt in my mouth. Definitely will go back and recommend!
The food was not quite as good as our last time. However, the biggest issue was just how long it took to be served. We waited nearly an hour for our appetizer to come out. Our server barely refilled our water. The bartender (I think) was walking around and tried to pick up some of the slack, refilling waters and making sure people were taken care of. She was lovely. However, the table next to us left before getting so much as a water. There is an enormous gap in service that should be addressed before we would come back.
We had a nice table for 2 by the window so we could watch people inside and out. It was a chilly night but they had heaters outside and all tables full. Fairly loud but in a good way, energetic. Great cocktails, I had 2 Bees Knees. We had salads, crab cakes and the chicken Bev. All very good.
Enjoyable restaurant with excellent food. The menu is on a tablet and once you got used to it was very easy to navigate. Selections are not too extensive so very easy to make a choice. Wine and cocktail service was excellent. We ordered the steak filets which were excellent and not overpriced. Restaurant can be noisy so if you want a quiet place this would not be it. Service staff was excellent and quite knowledgeable.
The food was very good - NY strip and chicken. Service too. We liked the menu presentation on tablets - especially helpful with wine selection. The night we were there there was a large, loud birthday celebration group, which took away from our experience. We would go back again to enjoy the cozy ambiance
