We had a lovely evening with our friends. The service was delightful and the food delicious.
The food and the Chianti were superb! Our waiter was wonderful. Definitely will be back!
A warm, cosy, excellent restaurant with charming waiters. Couldnt have been more soothing and relaxing during stressful times.
Waiters were prompt and polite. The food was wonderful!
Celestino's is always great for lunch or dinner. Great service. Friendly staff. Delicious food. Try one of the seafood specials. Highly recommend.
The service at Celestino's is amazing. Friendly, observant wait staff who knew just when we were ready to order our next dish, fill our wine and water glasses, and when to clear. The food is amazing and their off menu specials are to simple scrumptious! We will definitely be going back!
The food was good. However this restaurant needs to spend some money upgrading the men's restroom. (Do not know about the women's restroom.) The men's restroom was tiny, dirty and dim. Most unpleasant.
A long-time favorite place. Food presentation is spot-on
Excellent Italian restaurant and very attentive staff, a little noisy (energetic) but otherwise would definitely recommend and go back for more.
Always wonderful food. Old style service with experienced servers is average to mediocre. Ignored after paying the tab at lunch. Tables around us were open so it wasn’t a push for turnover. Another really terrible expensive at a dinner. While we go there regularly, we usually walk out grousing about service and singing praises for the food.
The food is very good and the service is fine.
There is not much atmosphere really, but it seems to be one of the better Italian places in Pasadena
My wife's birthday dinner...days later she is still sooooo happy with Celestino.
We have been going to Celestino's for several years and have always enjoyed the food and service but the last two times have been a disappointment. When we went a couple of months ago we were seated in the rear patio even though we had reservations. The patio was very warm in the center and cold near the outside. We had to eat with our coats on because of the cold wind. We overlooked the inconvenience because it was the holidays and the place was packed. We made reservations again this last weekend and when we arrived we were given a choice of a table for two in the middle of the aisle or another table near the front with guests milling all around. We left and went to another restaurant where we were able to enjoy a relaxing meal.
Celestino's is very popular but I feel they overbook the restaurant in effort to squeeze every last customer in even if it means an uncomfortable experience for the patrons. If you want a relaxing dinner I suggest you look elsewhere. I don't know if I'll ever go back.
Our waiter was superb he had excellent knowledge of the wines and all the food. The wines and food were superb an we thoroughly enjoyed the warm and welcoming atmosphere of Celestinos.
I highly recommend this fine restaurant!
We went for dinner and had an amazing meal. I highly recommend the pasta with egg plant. The service was outstanding! We will definitely come back
It's nice to sit on the patio on a warm evening.
Celestino’s is one of my favorites. Great food, a pleasant environment and solid value make Celestino’s hard to beat.
I didn’t like that the hostess suggested that I sit in the corner in a room off to the left where I would’ve had to look a cardboard boxes which appeared to have been wine boxes.
Great night the service was exceptional the food was truly delicious
Always special! Best waiters in the business! The owner is exceptional and has built an excellent reputation!
Loved it. Wish I had skipped breakfast and lunch to make more room for dinner.
The food was excellent and the service was polite and professional.
Although it was fairly empty we were seated at a back table next to a private party room where waiters and guests were constantly going in and out. We ordered the calamari as an appetizer but before we could even take two bites of it the main courses came out so it went to waste. The roasted half chicken was so small and bony there was barely anything to eat and it came with the smallest portion of spinach. It was a birthday celebration which we said as we were seated yet the dessert didn't even come with a candle. Needless to say I won't be returning.
Love this place. The staff is always friendly and the food is great.
Best Italian food in Pasadena. Authentic, thoughtful and friendly service, great wine list.
The food by all means is great but if it wasn’t for the busboy the service would’ve been horrible, the waiter pretty was nowhere to be found & when he appeared, didn’t offer and or suggested any thing from the menu was not only rushing with the preset he also forced us to order our appetizers & main dishes at the same time, I read and order our food as it was written on the menu & he didn’t understand any word I read although he’s working at this restaurant for more than 10 years
The service was quite efficient for such a busy night. I found the dishes to be excellent and the wine was quite good as well.
We'll be back on a non-holiday evening for sure.
Went for Valentines Day dinner.
Very busy- good thing I had made reservations. Got seated quickly- and then no waiter for 10 mins- no water or bread service yet either. Waiter finally arrived and asked if we were ready to order ..? Didn’t introduce himself, or bring water, or even ask if we wanted to order some drinks? So I ordered us drinks, and asked for another minute with the menu... the drinks came in about 10mins, still no water or bread? Again he asked if were ready to order... seemed as if he was in a rush, so we ordered food, then finally some bread and water came out to our table, (30mins after being seated) I had the risotto as an app, and then the chicken Parmesan- both were delicious. My wife ordered the salad, and then ravioli as a meal- but she got upset stomach after the ravioli. We skipped desert as her tummy was upset. Overall - I think they got caught up in the V-day craziness- looks as if they ran out of bread- (why it took so long) , and were a little too busy to give good service. Oh well- might be back to try on a slower day....
Ruben helped us at the bar. Despite being slammed on Valentine's Day, he made great food suggestions and made sure our dining and drinking needs were met. The pasta was superb as always!
Excellent in every way exce
Excellent service as always
The staff were very nice and the menu was extensive, but the food and ambiance were just okay.
Super delicious. It was out first time eating there. Everything was super! Garbanzo soup was so good my 8 year old kept eating out of my bowl. I had the seafood pasta with shrimp. My hubby had the chicken parmigiana. My 8 year old ate salmon with fettuccine. Will definitely be going back!!!
Food was just Ok, soup was very salty, service was not bad, not great.
Just wonderful - Pasta was fresh, steak was delicious, drinks were exactly right, and the server was so very attentive. Who could ask for anything more?
My wife and I enjoyed a great meal at Celestine! The service was excellent and our server, Carlos, was very helpful and attentive. Our appetizer was tasty and our pasta was yummy and al dente! We will come back soon!
I was looking for a great Italian restaurant when my favorite recently closed. I found it in Celestino! Dinner was wonderful in spite of the restaurant being very busy. Service was delayed due to the crowd, but fantastic in spite of the wait. I will definitely return and highly recommend this restaurant.
I gave a mixed review because (a) the service was extremely slow (although, to be sure, Celestino's was extremely busy and our waiter was running the whole time), and (b) the non-pasta dish we ordered was so salty we had to send it back and got pasta instead. The pasta dishes were very good, and the service, when we received it, was good. But we were there for 2 1/2 hours and had to send a dish back... so... mixed review.
