Excellent food , service and atmosphere!
Always great food!
It is a nice restaurant with very good italian food. It is a in a higher price class, especially the vines are very expensive.
One of my favorite places. Always delicious Italian cuisine and an extensive menu supplemented by daily specials. Service is warm and welcoming, more so if you speak a bit of Italian. Free parking around the block at the rear is a real treat. In over 10 yrs of eating here, I've never tried anything that wasn't excellent, whether fish, meat, or pasta. Osso buco, branzino, lasagne, ragu sauces for pasta, all are first-rate. Salads are fresh and generous. Soups are wonderful. If you haven't been there, go now!
Great food and service; best Italian cuisine in the area.
Quiet dinner on a Tuesday night. Few people there after a large dinner party left. Excellent food and service as usual.
We had a fabulous dinner, some of the best Italian food ever (and we've been to Italy several times). BUT, it was Sat night and they were very busy and lost our order. They were very apologetic and gave us some appetizers to tide us over. BIG DRAWBACK:the wine by the glass is barely drinkable. It's a disgrace.
Lasagna and side of meatballs (not on the menu) was delicious.
We had a great dinner at Celestino. We started with the Tomato Bread soup and the Beef Carpaccio, both of which were great. We then shared the penne past and the rissotto -- again very good. Service was great and our waiter helped us choose a sumptuous wine. In fact, the food was terrific but the wine was better yet and was fairly reasonably priced (~$90).
We have dined at Celestinos frequently. We have always had wonderful dinners but this time it was the best meal we have ever had. Fabulous!!
Really good artichoke salad and the entrees were great. Vodka pasta and the salmon. Bartender makes an awesome vodka martini.
We had a wonderful dinner at Celestine’s. We brought our daughters and were given a very nice table in the outdoor area in the back. The service was outstanding and everyone was able to find just the right thing to order. The pastas here are delicious and varied. Our waiter recommended the pasta with mushrooms and pheasant, and it was really extraordinary. All in all a wonderful night.
The food was delicious!
Celestino never disappoints. The food was very tasty and well prepared. Service this time was a little slow. They had a truffle menu which we did not order from, but it looked good. Not cheap, but still worth it.
Celestino is a wonderful place we use on our way to Disney Concert Hall. The traffic is usually accommodating going to Pasadena so it makes for a good intermediary stop. We are never dissatisfied and the wait staff is fantastic.
A wonderful meal with attentive service and knowledgeable waiters, but a bit spendy for lunch ($30 for the entree). Celestino's remains a local favorite, however, and we will be back. The meal was excellent.
Best tiramisu in town.
Service on entrees was too slow but otherwise nice and tasty
As usual, food was amazing!
Restaurant has become overly crowded in the past 4 months, often without the needed number of servers. The food is the best in The San Gabriel Valley.
Think we’ll try to only go there on Mondays, perhaps not as crowded and will have the necessary number of servers.
Went here last time I was in Pasadena -2 years ago- because my 85 year old aunt liked it. I didn’t really like it but went along with going again. The waiter was obnoxiously rude when my aunt couldn’t make up her mind about her dinner entree. My pork tenderloin was severely overdone -I should have sent it back but the waiter disappeared and it was easier just to eat it. I honestly can’t understand the popularity of this place. Do not plan to ever go back on return trips to Pasadena.
Every dish was excellent and different from the usual. Prices were very fair. The only strange thing was the waiter who was a quite accomplished, elderly gentleman who made a Peter Luger’s waiter seem charming. He was abrupt- close to rude.
All other servers and support staff seemed fine. My wife and I gave this waiter ( who might have been an owner) no cause to
be so unfriendly, but in spite of him, we had a fine dinner.
Great experience as always at Celestinos. Great food, wine and service.
Great place! Especially good specials!
Excellent food but service, although friendly, might be quicker if you don't go during popular hours
We love this spot and will keep coming back! Great food! Great place for a special occasion!
Superb service, attentive personnel, a dine again place.
This restaurant is the whole package. I can't believe that everytime we eat there it is a culinary supremacy
I have dined here on several occasions and had very good dining experience.
Our entire dining experience last Sunday was spoiled by our rather fierce looking elderly waiter who never greeted or welcomed us , spoke like he’s a commander in an army talking to his subordinates!!!
Last Sunday evening happened to be Oscars night 3/4/18 and we were there at 5:30pm, the restaurant was quiet and not busy , but this elderly waiter charged on like he did not have time to waste with us !
How embarrassed I was bringing my 2 good friends there , it would have been great if we had some other waiter !!!
Always a great experience!
Great people and food
Celestine’s is always consistently hood
As always excellent food and good service. A very reliable go to restaurant. Owner Senior Drago is very cordial and friendly. One of our favorites!
The hostess could not have been more RUDE
and snobbish. She would benefit from a Customer Service Training Program.
The waiter was gracious and accommodating.
Caligero and staff give their all. Fantastic food & service!
This dining experience was great as usual! Prego!
Food was exquisite and enticing. I highly recommended this restaurant to all. Thank you so much and we will definitely be back very soon. 💖💖💖
Food was good, not excellent. The waiter we had was horrible. Forgot our cocktails until our food came.
The food was good, but not great for the price. I called to tell them I would be late for my reservation and was put on hold for 10 minutes and then hung up. I had an enjoyable dinner with my friend but the waiter was very intrusive and overtly flirted with my friend so much that it was obnoxious and really interfered with our conversation. I think he wanted a bigger tip, but come on, those behaviors are so old. I felt he over did it and really interfered with our dinner. I also think he really thought he was "cute" and might get her number. I think that waiters should be helpful and assist us in our dining experience, not interfere with it. I like friendly waiters, but this was outrageous and inappropriate.
As always this restaurant is fantastic. The entire wait staff is dressed up so great and they give you a baked bread services, order service, meal service, and water service all by experienced servers. They treat you like royalty andare so friendly. There are always creative and fresh specials and our Halibut in Livornese sauce and my wife's large buttery Dover Sole were fantastic. The desert was fresh Italian pastry lemon cake! All on a Monday lunch-we must be Movie Staes! The real stars are the chefs in the kitchen and our wonderful wait staff!
