This was our first visit to Celestino's. The waiter's were very helpful and the food was excellent. The restaurant is nicely decorated and very comfortable. It is definitely a keeper. We intend to continue patronizing this place.
I've always had good luck at Celestino's and dined outside on this cool evening. My wife enjoyed her lamb chops, and I had a seafood stew that was off menu, but easily prepared by the chef.
Wonderful and authentic Italian restaurant with a fun vibe.
Super, super and super
The most authentic Italian cuisine you’re going to find… An exquisite menu with a wide range of selections. The ambience is a warm and attractive, with a neighborhood feel. Professional and helpful waitstaff. We will make the hour drive to dine there again!
Consistently delicious - no matter what I order. Waiters very attentive
Always good food and great place for a business meeting.
Went there for an anniversary dinner. It was very pleasant with delicious food and wine.
Wonderful as usual!
We have come here many times and we are never disappointed. The staff is both friendly and helpful in describing the dishes they serve. The menu is extensive and they often have special dishes that are offered not on the menu. I really can't recommend this restaurant enough. If you want an authentic Italian experience go to Celestino's.
Great food and service. They really need to update the decor, including the vinyl table cloth.
Lovely ambience, very friendly service and authentic cuisine off a high quality. We especially loved the pappardelle with pheasant and morels. Will definitely return.
Excellent place, both food and service. Knowledgeable and personable wait-staff and the food arrives promptly. They have excellent banquet space that does not interfere with the regular dining room. Be sure to try their calamari steak appetizer.
Consistently delicious food, impeccable and friendly service. Caccio pepe had a bit too much pepper this time, but everything else was wonderful; especially the freshly made pasta. Don’t miss the warm, crusty bread service. We love the attentive service and cosy atmosphere. Wish there were candles on the table for even better ambiance!
Wonderful restaurant with great food. We were offered a table right next to the check-in counter which obviously would have been very noisy so we opted for a table under the tent in the back. Service was not as attentive as I would have liked but the food was out of the world. I had the veal rack special and my wife had the red snapper. We had a great time.
I had the frutta di mare it was awful, then I ordered branzino it was a small filet on top a spinach nothing else I do not mind paying for good food but it was ridiculous the whole meal
Service and food excellent. The waiter made the birthday celebration fun
Friendly staff. Authentic classic Italian atmosphere. Good time
Was a bit disappointed that I made a reservation for an outside table but still had to wait almost 40 mins to be seated because it was busy.
Everything was great from the food to service. I recommend the salmon carpaccio and meatballs. We asked our waiter if we could change a pasta with a different sauce of our choice he said it's not allowed.
I struggled with the Italian wine choices. I would like to see more of a Californian wine of chardonnay's and reds on their wine list.
Our waiter was great a bit difficult to hear and understand what he was saying because of the inside noise of a full seated restaurant. And, let's be honest, it's time we say good bye to the masks... they don't help!
Friendly staff, delicious food.
This is a lively, and friendly spot. The menu was substantial and our food was delicious! Service was great and efficient.
Great food, great value, great service - highly recommended
Good food. Good wine. Good service
Food, service, ambiance all wonderful… terrific lunch adventure.
Waiters should tend to everyone in same exciting manner as they do to those who are regulars. Goals should be for "new " customers to become regulars. Good services should go all around.
The service was impeccable. The food was delectable. The ambiance was relatively quiet, even with a packed dining room. Even some patrons who regularly frequent Celestino's are friendly and interactive. The Linguini ai Frutti di Mare was very good, as was the Zupetta Di Cozze E Vongole, and the Panna Cotta with Vanilla Beans and Fresh Strawberries. The highlight of the evening was the Branzino Alla Griglia (which is a whole fish). The skin was crispy and the fish was moist and flavorful. It was the best Branzino I have ever tasted!
The food was amazing and the service exceptional. The restaurant personnel make you feel really comfortable and they treat you like very good. The food was good and on time. Very fast service and enjoyable with your family.
The service was outstanding, we sat outside by choice and the lighting was a bit bright. Overall everything we ordered was outstanding only issue and it wasn’t huge… one of the dishes (out of 6) we ordered came out only lukewarm ( The ravioli) . Also they don’t have a wine list or drink menu. But it all tasted amazing
A reasonable example of Italian-American food (a bready meatball appetizer comes with elastic mozzarella melted on top), with some more authentically Italian surprises if you care check the menu more closely. (There are three Italian digestitivi; two amari and a vin santo. I was pleasantly surprised by the Cynar.) Our expectations and dining experience were very much lowered by the dinner music, which is periodically interrupted by (radio?) ads for health care and fuel additives. Though the menu is goo, and the food is competently prepared, I can't say we liked it enough to return. However, the place clearly has a devoted clientele of regulars. It's the kind of place where locals and staff know each other by name, and all seem delighted to be there. You can't really argue with that.
Food and service always excellent but prices have increased probably due to Covid and economy
Great food good service
I had the Chicken Milanese and it was well prepared but a bit bland. The sauce they provided (lemon, olive oil, mustard) added flavor but reminded me of tartar sauce. The veggies were fantastic. We dined outside so the noise level was higher than indoor but not problematic. Overall, decent experience.
It is just old and smelly inside…
This was our favorite Place when we lived in Pasadena 5 years ago. We are visiting from our current home in Ne Mexico and had to introduce one of our KA friends to it.
Great food, wonderful service. First time we've been to Celestino - will definitely come back.
Great service and great food!
It was good
