Me and my husband and daughter recently dined here and the food and service was second to none.
Their staff was very attentive
The drinks arrived quickly and my tequila mule was very tasty.
My wife loved her filet mignon ravioli
And I loved the lasagna and their Pinot Noir!
The flourless chocolate cake was well matched with chocolate gelato
Wonderful as usual! Staff and food were fantastic!
I’ve been here several times and my favorite Italian restaurant in pasadena. Great staff and service always
What’s the point of open table when you’re gonna make your guests wait 45 min? Not even apologetic when they are tell us that. Place is overly packed for a small area. Host was rude.
Service was TOP NOTCH!! 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
We always love Celestino's! We sat on the patio last night and the weather was perfect. We always have outstanding service and the food is always delicious! We are fish eaters and enjoyed the swordfish and the eggplant soup was a new treat! Celestino's for special occasions and anytime you want a satisfying, delicious meal!
Great service and food. Wonderful place to meet over business or pleasure.
Muy excelente la comida! El lugar agradable! Me gusta
The overall experience - poor. We served food after over an hour wait, and not just main, but food at all! Waiter forgot our order, so came to retake it after about 40 min from the first ordering.
The food was moderate, orders small. No going back for us!
The food is REALLY , REALLY, REALLY good here and so is the service ...
No complaints at all , I do wish the crowd was a bit younger ..... but we will definitely be back!
Great food & service!! Everything was fresh and tasty. Super friendly staff
It was good chance to go there with Dine LA.
I can taste many food with a little portion.
Everything is fine, servers are very friendly.
Food is too salty for me except pumpkin ravioli .
Great food, great service!
The ambiance was amazing and the service was great. The halibut I ordered was a little bit too salty for me but all other dishes were absolutely delicious.
The best pumpkin tortellini anywhere! The wait staff are always friendly, helpful, and attentive. I tried the farro salad (not something I would normally expect to enjoy) and it was amazing from the first bite. A delightful surprise. We have been searching for tasty, authentic Italian caffé near us. (In our search so far, we're convinced that most "espresso" from coffee shops in the US is a distant relative to gasoline). The caffé was delicious and had wonderful crema! Our very favorite Italian restaurant.
Love this place. Great authentic Italian style dishes. Our Italian waiter was very helpful with choosing the perfect dish and pairing a wine. Rack of Veal was delicious as was their mushroom Soufflé.
A friend and I went to Celestino to try their Dine LA Restaurant Week dinner. Although the regular menu and the long list of specials were hard to resist, we stayed true to our plan and were delighted that we did. The Pepata di Cozze (steamed clam soup) was delectable, with tender clams in a warmly spiced tomato broth, and the second course--a selection of mixed-mushroom risotto, orecchiette with broccoli, and pumpkin tortelloni--was divine. We loved all three, but the tortelloni had a rich savoriness that came out on top. They were gorgeous to look at, as well: bright green pasta filled with luscious orange pumpkin in lovely cream sauce with sage. The main course was equally delicious--branzino, oerfectly cooked with crispy skin over a portion of silky spinach and topped with a lemon/caper sauce. I can't praise the selection highly enough. On top of that, the service was impeccable.
It's a lovely place with wonderful food. Our service was slow and uneven, which surprised us. But I would definitely recommend it as a Pasadena mainstay for excellent food.
Visited for the dine la week. Owner was absolutely gracious and welcoming, seated us right away. Not sure who our server was, was unable to hear the specials and was out of the predestinated dessert for dine la. Service was iffy at best, understand with staffing issues created by Covid however maybe cut back amount of tables that are being accepted. Wine was phenomenal. Bread left a lot to be desired, dine la prefix should be a beat foot forward, this came off as left overs from banquet, branzino had beautiful flavor but a bone in almost every bite. Definitely potential is there, tipped not for the service received but for the service that was attempted...
Mushroom soup terrific. All else was mediocre. His other restaurant, Panzanella, is much better.
Excellent food and excellent service. I would recommend this restaurant.
Great experience for birthday celebration of my wife with family
This food is amazing!! Antonio the waiter is hilarious and took great care of us.
This is my second time eating here, the food is absolutely delicious but unfortunately, the service was lacking this time around. We had to wait for some time to get a waiters attention to ask for bread and then upon receiving our meals, mine was missing. It took me stating my order 3 times to finally receive it and the others had all finished theirs by then. The manager tried to make up for it with some free drinks which was appreciated. It didn't ruin the experience but it was a little annoying. I will still return and hope to receive better service on our next visit.
Delicious food, great service and lovely environment.
We had a wonderful lunch. The waiters were very attentive and the food was really good.
Nice date night with my wife to celebrate my birthday. The service was excellent and very attentive with the exception of the bill. The food was good and so many things on the menu and specials to choose from it was difficult to make our minds up. Overall very pleased with our food, I enjoyed the filet mignon ravioli and my wife had the cacio e pepe. Our wine was delicious, house cab and Merlot. And we ordered the cannoli to go.
Always a great restaurant. I keep coming back for more.
Excellent food, ambiance and service!
Very good dinner and service for my mothers birthday! 🎈
Exceptional service and food.
Sea bass special was great as usual. Lasagna special also great.
Celestino has been a staple of Pasadena's higher end restaurant scene for decades, and still for good reasons. I had lunch inside on a hot day with a business friend. We shared a grilled octopus salad special at the suggestion of our waiter, and I picked the spaghetti carbonara as my main. The recommendation was spot on - the portion was perfect as a lunch appetizer; the octopus, thinly sliced, evenly grilled, and delicately seasoned, reminded me of Greece. My spaghetti was done al dente, to my liking, and unlike most other restaurants that soak the pasta in sauce, the carbonara attached itself almost entirely to the spaghetti. My only gripe is that I would have preferred less cream, but that's probably a personally preference. The portion was extremely generous, so I took home almost as much as I ate. Service, as usual, was warm, friendly and attentive. Throw in easy parking nearby, and it's easy to conclude that lunch for 2 for $66 doesn't get much better anywhere else.
We were on such a high with our first visit so we decided to have our second visit. Our second visit we didn’t get Mario. We got another waiter who was not as excited to be there. I ordered the same meal but was charged a different price. Hummm interested. The food was wonderful, yummy and delicious. Maybe third time is the deal breaker. We will go again.
Fabulous pasta. I had the best carbonara outside of Italy
Excellent entrees, generous portions. Don't miss the Italian salads.
Great food and wonderful service!!
Eat here regularly.
Will definitely keep coming back.
