   A big disappointment. Slow service and uninspiring food. Very surprised after Toronto Life reviews which said the opposite. Would not return.

   Had a work lunch with my coworkers there, and it was a pleasant surprise from the start. Sparkling clean place, elegant and chic, this French "infused" place is indeed a real gem in the neighbourhood. The pleasant staff, the tasty, rich food will definitely help creating an experience to remember. Will try the dinner menu experience for sure!

   The menu is quite limited and we were informed when we got there that 2 items were not available. I asked if I could have one of the side dishes as a main course and was told No. After ordering we waited 40 minutes for my husband's appetizer ( I didn't order one) and then another 20 minutes for our entrees. At no time did the waiter offer to check on our orders for us, and only did so at my request. I noted that diner who had arrived after us were being served while we sat waiting. Waiting an hour for food when the restaurant is not overly busy is unconscionable. I will not go back to this restaurant again. This was a dinner to celebrate a 40th wedding anniversary.

   Even though the restaurant was not full it took us almost 2 hours to get our food. They seemed very disorganized. They had run out of basic menu items, such as the fois-gras, sparkling water, many of the wines... The food was good, but I don't think I would go back there because of the service.

   We planned a special dinner for my mom's birthday. The issues immediately. They ran out of lamb by 7pm. My husband & mom had beet salad & steak frites, which they enjoyed. My dad & I ordered scallop chowder with corn bread. It took 45 mins for starters to arrive, our soup had no corn bread, scallops were dry & rubbery. Waiter did try to make amends, by bringing a sm. portion of corn bread. An hour later we were finally served our mains. My dad & I had Cornish hen, served with 5 peas, 1 hard Brussel sprout & no potatoes as indicated. Waiter made an attempt to right things by bringing a spicy potato that had no relevance to the dish. Needless to say the night was fine but tarnished. I will not dine there again, or recommend it to anyone!

   I've been wanting to try this resto, but it doesn't have high chairs. We came for a weekday lunch, w/o baby, and had high hopes. It was a Prix Fix. Food was only ok, not enough depth of flavours considering we're talking French food! Service was also only ok - there were only 3 tables of guests there but he ignored us a lot. Also gave only ok service to us (a couple, had a glass of wine each), but amazing service to next table (3 ladies, started with a bottle of wine). Maybe the diff was the drinking. He was attentive, explained the menu, included commentary on food choices, joked, etc. with the other table, but just sufficiently polite with us. Anyway, food was only so-so and each course took a long time. The best thing was crème brulee.

    Had a group of seven for brunch and it was fantastic! Our server was relaxed, personable, knowledgeable and helpful. The food was great, and the ambiance was wonderful. Will definitely be back!
