Cedric's Tavern - Biltmore Estate Ratings and Reviews
We always eat at Cedric's when at the Biltmore. I understand they have a new chef and was disappointed with the buffalo calamari. This is our favorite and they ha e changed the portion size and it is not cooked the same way. Besides that, our meal was very good and the service was wonderful as always.
We had a delicious late supper at Cedric's Tavern. The food was wonderful, and the service timely and friendly. I highly recommend the calamari appetizer. Our entrees were delicious too, I can't remember the exact name but it was a thinly sliced steak served with mac and cheese. We will definitely be back!
Late dinner so we decided to focus on multiple appetizers. Deviled eggs - good; Deep Fried Pimento Cheese - excellent; Meatballs - OK; and Welsh Rarebit - disappointing - no flavor of cheese. Desert sealed the deal, a generous serving of carrot cake, wonderful.
Yes, we would recommend.
We spent the evening dining with my son and his girlfriend. She had never visited the Biltmore Estate and was very happy to have this opportunity. The minute we entered we were greeted by great live music - male singer with guitar - excellent song list and performer. My husband and I often take family and friends to Cedric's we really enjoy the atmosphere, service, and menu. We will be sure to return!
Initially seated in back room. Very loud and no ambiance while seating available in front section. Based on a comment made a manager came to table and offered move.
Move really saved the night and service and food worked out well after a biltmore house visit.
Cedric's was great! Instead of bread our waitress brought us house made pickles which were to die for. I felt so strongly about them I bought a jar before we left. Great local beer and wine selections. I had the Noble Cider which was delicious. I also had the best grilled cheese of my life there. The bean and beef soup left something to be desired, but overall a fantastic end to our day on the Biltmore Estate.
We make a point of visiting Cedric's every time we are staying on property. We especially enjoy sitting at the bar and talking with all the bartenders...especially, Katrina, Mike and Chris. The food is very skillfully prepared and served at the appropriate temperature. Quinn waited on us when the bar was full and we sat at a table. His knowledge of the menu was extensive and he gave us detailed information about the food options and how the food was prepared. It wouldn't be a wonderful trip to Biltmore without visiting Cedric's!
The fourth or fifth time at Cedric’s.
Creative menu for lunches. We drive into Asheville from far Western NC to enjoy dinner for lunch. Asheville is loaded with great places to eat and Cedric’s has made our rotation. Top service and atmosphere. The Biltmore does it right with their staff.
