The fourth or fifth time at Cedric’s.
Creative menu for lunches. We drive into Asheville from far Western NC to enjoy dinner for lunch. Asheville is loaded with great places to eat and Cedric’s has made our rotation. Top service and atmosphere. The Biltmore does it right with their staff.

Very nice Pub fare. Friendly service and the bean soup was delicious. The chicken was the freshest I have had in years!

Our waitress, Kelly, was super! An overall good experience for our first visit to Biltmore.
The only thing I was unhappy about was being seated next to the window of the patio, and another couple was on the other side, staring at me. One of the tables should be staggered so they are not side by side.

Date night with hubby... food choice wasn’t good and what my husband ending up ordering after not liking any of the choices was awful, and it was a salad and soup. (My husband is not picky so if he didn’t eat it something was wrong! I ended up eating the fish and chips which wasn’t bad but not something I wanted to order just looked the safest

Our experience at Cedric's Tavern was amazing! We went for a birthday lunch and had an amazing time. The staff was energetic and friendly. The food was terrific and the proportions were perfect. I definitely plan on visiting again!

I really liked the overall meal, the pork chop wasn't the greatest but wasn't bad. I had a great time and would recommend this place.

Delicious seasonal items. Menu changes from time to time, but you are bound to find a favorite. We really enjoyed their cheese tray and wine choices. If you are going to the Biltmore Estate, you really need to try Cedrics Tavern.

Great food. The shepherd's pie was outstanding. Wine was from the Biltmore winery and was a wonderful cabernaet. Waiter was friendly and had a great sense of humor. Service was terrific. Server's name was Quinn. This was a fun place to eat and I highly recommend it.

My husband and I brought friends to experience their first time at Biltmore. The whole trip was marvelous including the meal at Cedric’s. Our friends were well pleased with the Sheppard’s Pie. I ordered the Risotto. While it had a very good flavor, I missed the creamy texture of traditional risotto. The soup(chicken and ?) was delicious. We certainly will return.

This place could get look beyond very easily, but it is a hidden gem. One of the best restaurants I’ve been to in a long time. Could easily get eclipsed by some of the more well-known restaurants on the Biltmore campus, but this is by far one of the best. The dirty martinis were spot on, and the food was expertly prepared.

Liked the atmosphere - casual and relatively quiet. We would have liked to have been able to hear the musician - what we could hear, sounded good. The salmon was cooked to perfection; the fish and chips was good, but not great. Our waiter was attentive and very apologetic for the slow arrival of our dinners.

While visiting Biltmore we chose Cedric's for the great beer, good food and awesome service. The pimento cheese appetizer is delicious. The Rueben is excellent here, too. Love the Cedric's Brown Ale.

Shepards Pie was pretty good. The beef in my wife's dish was very tough and chewy. It was also somewhat bland and dry. The wait staff was very friendly and attentive. We probably should have said something about the beef, but didn't. Best thing about Cedric's for us was the outside seating on a beautiful evening with Christmas lighting in the distance. Save room for a walk across the sidewalk to the ice cream store. We didn't save any room but had the ice cream anyway!

A great place for lunch while at The Biltmore House. Often less busy than the Stables restaurant next to the house. Tavern decor and old photos of Cedric, the Vanderbilt family dog. Very friendly wait staff.

We took out-of-town guests on the first night of the Christmas season at Biltmore. The special at Cedric's was bay scallops - large, succulent, sweet and tender. The ground mustard butter with the pretzel rolls was a surprise and everyone loved it. One of the guests had Shepard's Pie, he said he has not had lamb in a Shepard's Pie at a restaurant in 30 years, usually restaurants offer beef or pork and it was exceptional.

Biltmore's Antler Village Christmas decorations and carolers added so much to the experience.

The friendly, gracious staff welcomed us. After a few minutes' wait time in the bar area, where no one pressured us to order immediately since we we were taking up a table, we were escorted up a few steps to a more private area. Entertaining live music created a relaxed setting of fine food. The salmon was moist and flavorful; the shepherd's pie, a wonderful comfort food. Thanks to our server who led us through our food choices while making just enough small talk to inform and entertain.

Simply put, the bloody marys were average at best, the cheeseburger and fries was most basic and unspectacular for $18 and whatever it was they called a pastie was more like a limp apple turnover pastry with a tablespoon of meat and veg filling on a bitter ( and boring!) lettuce bed, again for $18. I've had better meals for a third of the cost. Terrible. A poor reflection on The Biltmore House.

The food was good and reasonably priced. Large servings. We were there for lunch & they had free pickles they were offering. Great atmosphere and our server was very knowledgeable. Would definitely go again. Love the name of the restaurant and the story behind it as well. I did not know it was named after a family dog until we got there, but that made it more special because I love dogs.

We ate lunch at Cedric’s during a visit to the Biltmore Estate. We had planned to eat at Cedric’s even before we left home, so we were happy to have had such a nice experience. The food was excellent and we enjoyed a flight of local craft beers, all of which were quite good, too. Our server, Chris, was attentive but not overbearing, and we felt that he took good care of us.

Traffic kept us from arriving on time (no phone), so they cxl'd our res. Arrived 1/2 hr late and were seated immediately. Varied menu, something for everyone. As you'd expect, a bit pricy, but if you're there you'll have a good time.
