Great service, great food
Stopped for lunch after Biltmore House tour. Service was outstanding from Peg. Loved the cheese and pepper dip. Very relaxing
The food was good and the singer outstanding. As for the rest, not so good. The ambience was very loud for most of the time, with a group of six screaming women at the having a fight. Even when they made up, they were still screaming. The musician gave up at one point.
But the worst part was their handling of my wife's soy allergy. This is not a "fun" allergy - if she comes into contact with soy, her face, mouth and tongue swell up. This had been explained on the booking notes and again when we arrived. My wife chose a calamari appetizer which had been pronounced to be soy-free. When it arrived, it had an aioli source that had been made with mayonnaise. Since most commercial mayo contains soy, we asked what type of mayo? The answer was Duke's (NC's favorite). Does it contain soy? we asked. "No" was the definitive reply. I looked up the ingredients online and there it was - the first listed ingredient: soybean oil. The question had be now been asked three times, and three times the kitchen had said no. The chef then came out with a garbled explanation of why this should be that notably did not contain an apology. He then made up a soy-free version.
I should say that the server was mortified and apologized again and again; she also took the appetizer off the final bill.
So, beware: if you have an allergy, do not go there!!!
A wonderful end to a day at Biltmore. The service was excellent.
Right in the heart of Antler VIllage, great live music that was not so loud you couldn't think. Our server was awesome! He did not hover but was there when needed. Great Sangria and wine. Our dessert chocolates came on a plate that read, Happy Anniversary, written in cursive chocolate! Yes, it was our anniversary. The food was also very good!
Dessert was the best thing! Loved, loved the cornbread. Do not leave without ordering these two things.
We had a delightful experience at Cedric's Tavern on our first evening at the Biltmore Estate. Although we were a little early for our reservations we were seated promptly. Our waitress was friendly, helpful and even brought my husband a special dessert since we were celebrating his birthday. It was a fine pub experience.
My husband and I had the pretzel roll with the mustard butter. They were amazing! The fish was perfectly battered and seasoned. Our server was very helpful and friendly.
This is in our rotation for Asheville. The Biltmore is always at least very good. Attentive and friendly staff. The food is on point though the menu is pretty fixed.
Always love the bison burger. Deviled eggs app also good
My husband and I split a bison burger, which was delicious. We also had the deviled egg & pretzel rolls. The service from Seth was excellent! This is definitely one of our favorite eating spots at Biltmore.
The food was amazing! The service was excellent! Thanks for an incredible last night at the Biltmore dinner!!!
Their nightly special sirloin that I had while there was VERY good. Even though it was cooked more to medium-well than medium it was still a VERY good steak.
Our waiter was nice but our food server was completely disinterested in his job. Food was marginal. Over cooked seafood and yesterdays potatoes “at gratin” reheated in the microwave.
Food was fantastic! We had soup of the day - a seafood mixture that was out of this world. I enjoyed the salmon while my husband had the red snapper. Our server was very attentive and made us feel special (we were celebrating our 40 th Anniversary)! Atmosphere was less formal than the Inn at the Biltmore, so we could enjoy checking out all the unique shops in the Village! Definitely would recommend Cedric’s Tavern!
Vegetable soup and Bison Burger were amazing. Service was great!!
First I am a pass holder at the biltmore and have been for many years now. We decided to eat at cedrics just on a Monday night June 17th, the tavern wasn’t busy at all. So we went in and wanted to sit inside away from the awful music that they had going and also it was hot outside.. and the two hostess were no help and extremely rude.. they definitely didn’t help accommodate us and they didn’t care if we went somewhere else.. just RUDE!! so we left and I got on open table and made a reservation and in 7 mins I walked back in with a reservation. And immediately sat down. So you would rather not fill tables and wait on reservations.. come on it’s a Monday not the weekend. You could have just accommodated us.. instead of upsetting my family and I. We will not return. Thank you
Where’s the Shepherds Pie!! Don’t get me wrong, The food and service were great, as usual, but the Shepherds Pie wasn’t on the menu.
Why do they not accept pass holder discounts on Father’s Day when the creamery next door does.
Food was great as always. Service was great as always. We love Cedric’s Tavern.
Our server in the bar, Chris was amazing. Our server for our dinner, Sarah was very good. Both were friendly and attentive. Great food!!
We visit Cedrics every time we come to Biltmore! Very good food and great friendly service. The pretzel rolls with butter are delicious. My mom and I both had the ribeye and they were both cooked perfectly and tasted wonderful!
Food was just ok. Over salted and generally not the same standard of the other places we tried on the Biltmore estate. The waitress was ok also, but gave us the check without asking if we’d like anything else and/or dessert. Wish I’d read the reviews before we tried it.
Great gastric pub. The scallops (special) were really fantastic.
Nothing special about this place. Some people were nice some were not. Food is okay but way overpriced. You'd be better to go to downtown Asheville. Much better food, ambiance, drinks and value.
We ate at this delightful restaurant after spending the day at the Biltmore. What a wonderful way to cap off such a memorable day!
Another fine meal. Great music. Not too loud but not a place if you want a quiet meal. Definitively a tavern atmosphere.
We return to Cedric's almost every time we go to the Biltmore Estate. The food is excellent and it is a little more laid-back than other dining options. Although it was raining we sat outside on the covered patio. Try the ham and cheese fondue, you won't be disappointed!
Cedric's is my favorite place to eat at Biltmore Estate. It is casual, but elegant. The food is always originally created to taste great and it is served with finesse. The selection of wines is excellent, too. I enjoyed Biltmore's Reisling which was delectable with the roast chicken, rice, sauce, carrots, and greens The meal was excellent.
Did not like the Village area, way too touristy. Food was OK, not great. Too pricey for lunch.
Red snapper fish was excellent. Granddaughter tried bus in burger for first time and loved it. We ate on patio because it was cooler outside than inside. Our waitress was awesome! Service perfect. My granddaughter and I enjoyed a two hour dinner. We had a large family across from us which was fine but their barking dog was annoying! Highly recommend Cedric's!
A nice option for dinner on the Biltmore grounds. Food was very good and generous portions. We had the risotto, steak and red snapper between the 4 of us.
Delicious food. relaxed atmosphere, nice music. Loved it!
As always, Cedric’s did not disappoint. Service was perfect and the food was amazing. The Biltmore Company surely knows how to ensure you enjoy every aspect of your visit to the Biltmore Estate.
We enjoyed dinner at Cedrics Saturday night with family, including young grandchildren. Our waiter, Chris, was fabulous. He took the children's orders first while they colored and did word search in the several page booklet that Cedrics gave them upon arrival. They were occupied our entire dinner. And, speaking of dinner - it was excellent. I had the chicken and it was the best chicken that I have eaten. Other family members had the fish and chips - which was about the entire fish, pork chops and fish. The pretzel rolls and mustard butter were delicious! We'll be back. Cedrics is one of our many favorite restaurants at the Biltmore.
Wonderful experience. Great food. Great service. We will definitely eat there again.
Food always great, staff very friendly..always have a very enjoyable time
Yes, I would recommend Cedrics Tavern. We noted on our reservation that we were celebrating our anniversary, and the wait staff all kindly congratulated us. We also go a special Sweet Treat.
The service is the best thing about the evening - the service and the Scotch Egg! Despite the fact we had asked for seating on the patio in our reservation and the fact that there were empty tables there, we were denied seating there. That was very disappointing as the inside was quite loud. We were therefore disappointed.
I honestly expected more while dining at Biltmore. The food was good, but not as good as it should have been for the price. I appreciate good food and fine dining, but this was trying to be something that it wasn't. We actually did not dine on the premises again after this first night. Again, it wasn't bad! The food was actually very good, just left something to be desired.
