The restaurant was quite empty when we arrived, which had me worried. The service was outstanding and what appeared to be the owner/manager came out to greet us by name. The food was amazing! Definitely would recommend!
Very tasty food love the appetizer ground lamb on a pita bread tortilla like.
I had the lamb shank as a main entree it was cook perfect lots of flavor.
First time there and I really enjoyed everything, from the service to the food. Hoping to find something similar in Dallas. I recommend Cedars of Lebanon.
Great food and atmosphere. I went there for my birthday celebration. It's a good place to celebrate a casual event.
small family Lebanese restaurant, friendly staff, good food,
First time there and it was a wonderful first impression! Thank you!
Was very disappointed, service was molasses slow, bar took almost 30 mins for our apps, 50 mins to get our first order delivered, walked in at 7:30 pm, didn’t leave until almost 10 pm, not because we were having a great time... just sitting around waiting on drinks, apps and food..
The quality of the food was good, staff was nice, but the overall service was horrible... would not go back..
I've been to Salt Lake City exactly twice and visited Cedars of Lebanon both times. Such a refreshing change of pace from the other more meat-centric restaurants in the area! I was visiting on business with a mixed-palate group of some vegan, vegetarian, and fairly picky eaters, and they were all pleased by Cedars. We also got some great craft cocktails and wine to boot. Will return again and again. Thank you!
Great finding, will go again. I also notice the space between table, it makes it more intimate. Simply happy to have discover this place.
The food was tasty and the overall experience was very good as always.
This is or second visit to Cedars. As with the first one, we enjoyed the food greatly. Service was awesome as well. Last time the atmosphere was a bit better, but I attribute that to coming early due to a concert later in the evening.
You should certainly visit, and try their food. It won't be a waste, and you might find yourself rethinking middle eastern food.
My wife and I came here for a 'Date night' - and it was wonderful. The service was prompt and friendly and we especially appreciated the waiter being able to answer questions about food allergies. The food was simply magnificent. We'll be back!
My wife and I have been to Cedars before and loved it, but as an experiment I took our four children out on my own. I was incredibly pleased with how much they enjoyed the experience too. Each found an adventurous dish on the menu they really liked, they politely shared a couple of yummy desserts, and the live belly dancing was an added bonus that topped off the night. Now it is one of their favorite places and a great family memory. Can't wait to come back!
The food was delicious. There were 7 adults in our group. We ordered a wide range of item. Everyone thought their meal was very good. We will return soon,
Cute quiet place with great service and decent food. My only quip was that all if the meat dishes (except for lamb tagine) were overcooked/dry.
Ate at Cedars of Lebanon on a blister Sunday evening and had the restaurant too ourselves. Hummus is very good. We had the Lamb kebabs and Lamb couscous, both of which were very good.
We go here every once in a while because my husband loves Lebanese food. We recommend it! It’s nice to get out of the usual grind and have something different.
Very fun locale with fabulous Belly Dancing, and the food is wonderful. The owners were present, which made it a more intimate scene. But very fun!
This was our first time eating here. It was great- we will be back.
We were really looking forward to eating here, but in the end it was a let down. We were sat promptly and our order was taken. We also got water and our hummus app, but then it went down hill.
The hummus was nice and creamy, but the pita bread was cold and store bought. I prefer it hotter and a little toasted.
The chicken schwarma was not authentic. Normally schwarma is slices of chicken stacked on a bar and slow-roasted and then the meat is shaved off. This was just a boneless chicken breast cooked over fire and then sliced. It was luke warm and the flavor was lacking. The basmati rice was dry, and the vegetables were just ok.
The service was the worst part. While the staff was ultra friendly, it took forever to get 2 beers. Like, we were almost done with dinner before we got our dinners.
The food was great. We were served quickly. The price was reasonable. We'll go back again.
This is my second time visiting the restaurant. This time, without the belly dancers. The environment is a little more quiet and good for conversation. Food is always good. Service is good too.
Excellent food, pleasant setting. Our waitress Ani deserves a separate mention, she was great. Thank you.
We were wonderfully surprised with this place. We wanted to get out of our normal restaurant cycle and try somewhere new and found this gem! Great service, and our meals were fabulous.
Very good food every time I come. Taste, spices and flavors are perfect. Service is not fast, not slow... just right.
The food was delicious and very fresh. Would highly recommend it!
Visiting, and we wanted something different, but with vegetarian options. The staff and owner were exceedingly gracious. Polite and efficient. The dishes were very tasty and properly portioned. The belly-dancing was a pleasant surprise. If we lived in SC, we would come back.
We celebrated my Dad's birthday in the tent room and had a great time. We had 9 in our party and they were very accommodating. I marked live music even though there wasn't live music; however, there was a belly dancer and Leyla was amazing. She had us out of our seats dancing with her and she was very entertaining. The food was excellent. They were out of tiramisu so I had there rice pudding and I'm was pleasantly surprised, as was everyone else in my group who had to help me eat my dessert!
The food is authentic Lebanese cuisine with a wonderful blend of flavors. The lamb tangine was simmered to perfection in a dark curry sauce. The other dish we had was the lamb shank and the meat was simmered in an orange curry sauce. Excellent meal! I would return again and again if I lived there. The owner spent time talking with us about the significance of the restaurant - a real personal touch.
Been here several times the food continues to be excellent
Everything was great in regards to the food but it took absolutely forever for our meal to reach our table. From when we sat to when our entrees came out was an hour and a half.
I love this place, mostly for the food. My wife introduced me to Middle Eastern cuisine and this place a little over a year ago and I just can't get enough of it. Food is very good and they never disappoint.
Great find in SLC. Quiet, yet in a hopping area. Food absolutely excellent and service superb. Authentic decor as well. Loved it!
Service was good and food was great. Best hummus ever! The chicken kababs were delicious - wonderful spices. My husband had a vegetarian option with lentils and rice, hummus, and cucumber chips. Very tasty. We weren't familiar with Lebanese white wine, but it was quite tasty and good value.
Our first time at Cedar's, very flavorful, appetizer and entrees were delicious. The service was very helpful and Lia was very nice to talk to. We'll do it again!
They were out of almost everything on their menu we asked about, even though we were there pretty early. The server was very forgetful and didn't seem to know what was going on. There was only one group in the table area the whole time we were there, but they had us sit in the lounge area with basically coffee tables to sit around. My husband is very tall and had to sit sideways because his legs did not fit. The food was okay, but honestly I don't even remember it because of the overall laughably poor experience.
Great Food and Service! I ordered the Chicken Tagine, which was Excellent. My Hubby Ordered the Chicken Chawarma Sandwich, which the Chicken was a Little Dry, but the Sauce was Great. Will Definitely Return to Cedars of Lebanon!
I have been to Cedars of Lebanon several times and love it. The food is delicious, the service is wonderful, and it's not too spendy.
I love the food here. The service is a little hit and miss. Its by no means very expensive but I would imagine the service being slightly more sophisticated. Our bill was about 100 so the tip was roughly 20 dollars. I would have preferred more attentive service considering the extended time we had to wait for our meal.
Took my team out for dinner and we already have booked our next reservation - for tomorrow night!! Amazing food
