Cedars of Lebanon Ratings and Reviews
This is or second visit to Cedars. As with the first one, we enjoyed the food greatly. Service was awesome as well. Last time the atmosphere was a bit better, but I attribute that to coming early due to a concert later in the evening.
You should certainly visit, and try their food. It won't be a waste, and you might find yourself rethinking middle eastern food.
My wife and I have been to Cedars before and loved it, but as an experiment I took our four children out on my own. I was incredibly pleased with how much they enjoyed the experience too. Each found an adventurous dish on the menu they really liked, they politely shared a couple of yummy desserts, and the live belly dancing was an added bonus that topped off the night. Now it is one of their favorite places and a great family memory. Can't wait to come back!
We were really looking forward to eating here, but in the end it was a let down. We were sat promptly and our order was taken. We also got water and our hummus app, but then it went down hill.
The hummus was nice and creamy, but the pita bread was cold and store bought. I prefer it hotter and a little toasted.
The chicken schwarma was not authentic. Normally schwarma is slices of chicken stacked on a bar and slow-roasted and then the meat is shaved off. This was just a boneless chicken breast cooked over fire and then sliced. It was luke warm and the flavor was lacking. The basmati rice was dry, and the vegetables were just ok.
The service was the worst part. While the staff was ultra friendly, it took forever to get 2 beers. Like, we were almost done with dinner before we got our dinners.
Visiting, and we wanted something different, but with vegetarian options. The staff and owner were exceedingly gracious. Polite and efficient. The dishes were very tasty and properly portioned. The belly-dancing was a pleasant surprise. If we lived in SC, we would come back.
We celebrated my Dad's birthday in the tent room and had a great time. We had 9 in our party and they were very accommodating. I marked live music even though there wasn't live music; however, there was a belly dancer and Leyla was amazing. She had us out of our seats dancing with her and she was very entertaining. The food was excellent. They were out of tiramisu so I had there rice pudding and I'm was pleasantly surprised, as was everyone else in my group who had to help me eat my dessert!
The food is authentic Lebanese cuisine with a wonderful blend of flavors. The lamb tangine was simmered to perfection in a dark curry sauce. The other dish we had was the lamb shank and the meat was simmered in an orange curry sauce. Excellent meal! I would return again and again if I lived there. The owner spent time talking with us about the significance of the restaurant - a real personal touch.
Service was good and food was great. Best hummus ever! The chicken kababs were delicious - wonderful spices. My husband had a vegetarian option with lentils and rice, hummus, and cucumber chips. Very tasty. We weren't familiar with Lebanese white wine, but it was quite tasty and good value.
I love the food here. The service is a little hit and miss. Its by no means very expensive but I would imagine the service being slightly more sophisticated. Our bill was about 100 so the tip was roughly 20 dollars. I would have preferred more attentive service considering the extended time we had to wait for our meal.
Fun place with excellent food. Both the chicken shish kabob and chicken shwarma were delectable chicken dishes. The shish kabob chicken had a lemon flavor to it. Fun to have a little show of bellydancers. Something different. Good for family, friends or a date.
