Cedar Street Grille Ratings and Reviews
We were very pleased with the overall quality of our entrees: halibut, salmon and pork shank. All were well executed: tasty, hot, not over/under cooked, and thoughtfully prepared. Our appetizer of spicy cherrystone clams in a chorizo, tomato and pepper broth was very good, though the generous portion of clams were the tiniest "cherrystones" I had ever encountered. Don't think they were sourced from New England, but they tasted ok. Still I would have preferred larger clams. The grilled bread served with the clams for dipping in the broth was excellent. The wine list, while modest in depth , touched most major wine varieties, seemed thoughtful assembled, and was priced reasonably. Our server was friendly and got the job done without drawing attention to herself. We'd come back next time in Sturbridge.
From the time i posted reservations with you by email, you were timely at getting back to me in confirming the appointment. When my friends and i walked in we were taken care of immediately by a young woman named Karen. She was very warm and professional and gave us everything we asked for. Our dinning experience was a excellent one and i will be back to visit. Your food is excellent as the presentation of the food! Thank you
This was our first visit to Cedar Street Grill. Unfortunately, we were stuck in a small room with a very rowdy group of obviously inebriated women. We asked for a different table, but staff said they would ask the other group to quiet down. The staff did ask, but the group didn't quiet down. They eventually left, but until then we had to try to carry on a conversation over them. The food was interesting, but not unique. Chocolate mousse was not very chocolate-y. Service was very good, however.
Our first time here and it turned out to be a good one. When staff realized one of our party had trouble walking, they were swift and professional in getting us a more accessible seating location --perfect! Food was excellent, ambiance comfortable, everything good.
My friends and I get together for dinner and use this as our central location as we live in various directions. We ADORE Cedar Street Grille. So far we've visited 2 times for dinner and yesterday we visited for brunch. It's just the cutest place with great food.
Great little location to have some tapas, lunch or dinner with some, friends or a significant other.
I would recommend Sarah as your server/bartender, she is in her game. Very polite.
Bad thing about Cedar Grille, not enough specialty cocktails. Also....parking is Okay as long as you park across the street.
This restaurant has lost it's appeal. They used to be innovative and offered a decent meal and experience. We arrived a bit early for cocktails and were shoved aside by staff and patrons as we attempted to get a beverage. There was nowhere to sit so we ended-up in the chilly vestibule. They were overbooked, the staff was frenzied and the food was terrible. I wouldn't give them another chance since this is the second time we have had bad food and service.
I'm a regular here and the food is always dependable and you get treated like a regular when you are one. I miss some things off the old menu but they often come back around. They have really expanded their cocktail menu, I wish they had more wines by the glass. It's the best restaurant in Sturbridge.
We always look forward to an excuse to visit the Cedar Street Grill. Food and beverage is always delightful. The menu has had some of the old favorites removed and is much briefer than before. While polite and efficient, we did not have the typical service from Rebecca to which we are accustomed. As a result I couldn't order my last beverage because she arrived at our table when we had finished.
Comfortable place for a relaxing lunch. Karen was perfect....understood we were going to enjoy a long relaxing lunch and spaced out our food arrival accordingly. We split the grilled cheese and ordered soup and salad to round out our lunch. Grilled cheese very different and delicious. Not a lot to choose from, but interesting and unique choices for lunch. Have been here several times for lunch. Does not disappoint.
Met friends for brunch. Wonderful place, great and interesting food options and reasonably priced. Service was outstanding and attentive. My only minor complaint for a Sunday brunch is that it was quite noisy in the dining room as there were a number of young children. But overall it's to be recommended highly.
Great service. Short ribs were gloppy. Romaine salad pedestrian. Clams were very well flavored but slightly tough. Kale/butternut squash excellent. Drinks were very good and dessert was great. I think that they were just having a bad night with the short ribs. Atmosphere is very nice.
This is the second time we have been here. The first time we had an issue with the service but the food was excellent so we decided to take another chance. Our service on this most recent visit was exceptional. The food was just as pleasing. I would definitely leave room for thier cheese cake. To die for.
This is the second time my husband and I visited this establishment. It was excellent again. This time it was for Sunday Brunch. I had the Hanger Steak and Eggs and hubby had Lobster Eggs Benedict. We love the Crazy Dates - so good with bacon and blue cheese. Can't wait to go back.
Booked through Open Table but given a really poor location when we arrived in spite of other tables being open. Ignored most of the time by staff which was fine since we wanted to talk. So, rather confusing - we were certainly made to feel unwanted, but the waitress was nice and so was the food.
The Cedar Street Grille never disappoints and Friday night was no exception. From pumpkin bisque to stacked salmon and nicely seasoned meatballs everything was perfect. The bar offerings are very creative and the selection in wonderful from wine to malt beverages and everything in between. Olivia and support staff attended to our needs and desires in timely and professional fashion. Cedar Street Grille is always on our list of favorites and we will continue to return.
We really enjoyed our meals at Cedar Street and the service was very good. However, I made it a point to note in my reservation that it was my mother's birthday and there was no acknowledgement of that fact whatsoever by the wait staff. I would have gladly paid for a piece of cake but nothing was forthcoming. What's the point of asking if it is a special event if the information is either not shared with the restaurant or ignored by the restaurant?
