Always a pleasure and the scallops were wonderful!
Overall enjoyable evening, however service was very slow, not sure if they were understaffed that night.
Drinks took forever to be served, over whelmed bar individual.
Meals for the most part were v good, my steak was cooked perfectly just a bit over seasoned. My partner recommends the salmon, very tasty.
Our server, Karen, provided us with a true dining experience. We had decided to share 5 small plates. Karen arranged for the kitchen to ready them one at a time and even directed the order we received them. We were able to enjoy each one fresh and hot in a very relaxed atmosphere. Karen was attentive, efficient, and friendly the whole time we were there.
As always nothing negative to say. Our 4 time to Cedar Street Grille in the past 6 weeks!
Pleasantly surprised! Met my niece for Sunday brunch. Our server, Katie was friendly and helpful. We ordered a bottle of wine and 2 entrees, Baked Salmon and Cajun Shrimp and Polenta. Both were well seasoned, cooked perfectly snd went above our expectations. Dessert we shared was the Maple Cheesecake. While flavorful, the cheesecake was a little dry.
Would recommend for anyone looking for a place off the beaten path.
Make a reservation, especially, on the weekends for brunch otherwise you’ll be waiting!!
Great food and friendly staff. Environment was very conducive to catching up with friends.
Service was wonderful, the food was creative and delicious.
I went on a Sat morning for brunch and had the stuffed french toast. It was VERY good. I thought the price ($14) was a little high, and it just came with fruit, no choice of home fries or anything. I thought the menu was less than impressive, and our party of 6 all struggled to find something we each liked. Most went with the hash and eggs and at least 2 of the 4 that ordered it thought it was just "ok". Another in our party got the frittata, which took a very long time to cook. The decor and ambiance was very cool, and I would go again, but probably not for brunch.
Food and service were excellent. We were located at table 14 which was terrible in middle of kitchen traffic near prep area for wait staff. We asked to move and they said no with no other option
We were there for Sunday brunch. We had gone to the cedar grill when it was more of a special occasion place and though this is a more casual restaurant we were quite pleased with what the restaurant had become. Brunch menu had a nice assortment to choose from . I had the stuffed fresh toast with bacon husband had chicken and waffles. Our son had the polenta with Cajun shrimp. We were very happy with our choice and would meet there again.
Outstanding service, food, and value as always.
It was my first visit to Cedar Street Grille and I would certainly go again when in the area. The service was good, the atmosphere lively, the decor quite appealing. The food was fine, but not great. All in all, a nice find in the area!
Great Sunday brunch after a family wedding the night before-. The food was excellent, the service was great and the Bloody Mary hit the spot.
This was our second weekend in a row to Cedar Street! Great "go to" place.
We discovered Cedar street grill earlier this year after visiting her sister restaurant the Duck in Sturbridge, MA. We have never been disappointed the food is outstanding with small plates to share and full entries to choose from. We started off with a Caesar salad, garlic shrimp, and fried calamari followed by house buffalo mac and cheese, pan roasted salmon and buttermilk fried chicken. Looking forward to our next visit.
Always a pleasant experience. The food is wonderful and the menu is updated often. Always high quality ingredients. A little pricey but with every penny. They also offer some gluten free options. The drinks here are amazing. Try the crazy dates! Yum!
Loved the ambiance. Waitress was very attentive. Food was good but the price tag was a bit on the higher side.
Second time for brunch at Cedar Grille. We again had the dates with goat cheese and bacon - so good!! Lots of choices on the brunch menu which is nice for a group. A good meeting place in between Hartford and Boston, and fun shops to explore nearby once brunch or lunch is finished.
Very nice place to eat at. Service was very good, our waitress was very attentive and had a great personality. Food was absolutely fantastic, portions could have been a little bigger. I will defintely stop by again.
Cedar Street Grille is a consistently high-quality experience: very good food, attentive service, and a varied menu. The wine list is a bit limited, and there is very occasionally a miss (e.g., the pulled pork small plate was too salty). But everything else - especially the bacon-wrapped dates and the scallops - was delicious. The dining room is a bit noisy, but that becomes part of the good experience. Highly recommended.
Husband and I enjoy Cedar Street Grille and have taken friends and family there since our first visit back in February. The pan seared gnocchi with lobster is a must and the fried calamari is always one of our selections. We have been 5 times in the past 6 months and have yet to be disappointed.
We were meeting our son and grandson in the area and made reservation at Cedar Street Grille. We were welcomed immediately and seated. Our waitress was wonderful! All the food ( fried goat cheese, scallops, lobster gnocchi and pork belly sliders) was excellent. Would love to return for dinner! Awesome dining! Thanks!
I went for a business luncheon and was seated in a back booth, hoping it would be quiet - but a lively party of four sat right in front of us so it was loud. I ordered the honey/thyme almonds as a starter and they were a big disappointment: no flavor at all, very sticky and hard, no taste of thyme or anything good. I had them sent back. Fried pickles were yummy. So was the salmon/quinoa burger, and sweet potato fries were light and airy. Overall a nice place, conveniently located off major highways for an easy lunch meeting.
One of the best restaurant meals we've ever enjoyed! Each option was excellent! Sarah Pierson (spelling??), our server, was professional, charming and appropriately attentive and helpful.
What a great find! Wonderful friendly service. The food was delicious. I ordered the fish and chips, and was delighted to see it was not fried fish but a nice piece of swordfish. My wife had a special of the day: a grilled cheese sandwich with cheeses and bacon, also very good. We had fries and fried pickles and loved the fact that they were not heavy in fat, but a delicious light fry method. Compliments to the chef! We will be back! We were there for lunch, but can’t wait to try dinner sometime soon!
Cedar St., Grill is one of those rare restaurants, where I’ve eaten a dozen times and never had a bad meal. Fantastic service! It’s my go to place in Sturbridge and central Massachusetts.
Had the chicken and waffles for brunch! Outstanding!
The food was absolutely awesome. I got the truffle macaroni and cheese, gluten-free version. Simply amazing. My husband had the hanger steak and because they said it is local meat, it was as tender as a ribeye. Don't miss this gem, and the wine list is great also.
The item I wanted was out, ordered another that was tasty but not what i really wanted. Menu was small and not a lot of variety. Place was busy and service was average.
We happen to find Cedar Street Grille on a whim! We frequently travel between Western CT and NH. This will be a regular stop. The food was fantastic. My wife and I shared a few small plates, the cheese slate was excellent with a nice selection of cheeses. There was also gluten free bread available for my wife. We shared a salad and onto the main course. I had the pork which was cooked to perfection and my wife had the salmon. Portion size was great. The service was very attentive. We sat in the bar area which was lively.
Awesome food, fantastic cocktails, live and energetic bar area and the service was impeccable.
Excellent as always, great menu and perfectly executed. The only danger here is the potential to overeat!
Server was very helpful guiding us to order the right amount of food. The food was excellent, especially the pork belly sliders!!
The menu is limited but put together well. Great cocktails.
For us Sturbridge is a 45 minute drive, however, The Cedar St. Grille is well worth the drive. The food is sensational, it is casual and they take reservations. If Tapas is your thing, you can order small plates as well as large. Cannot wait to return.
If you have a gluten allergy this is a good place to go. They have gluten free bread and pasta. Note that their current menu is quite different from what is on their website. The food we had was very good.
Father's Day Brunch. Food, atmosphere, service excellent. Would go back and request Chelsea as our server. Love Cedar Street.
I love this place! Always a creative menu and a friendly smile
Great place. Love the food, always a great meal and the staff is always friendly.
Love Cedar Street Grill. Great place for relaxing evening and great small plates. A must try.
The Cedar Grille never disappoints. Great food, nicely served. It is a "meet in the middle" place for us and friends, and we always have great food and good service. Noise level can be quite high... suggest asking for a booth or eating in the bar (if it is lunch). Worth our hour plus drive.
