Established in 1941, Cedar Knoll is a historic restaurant with sweeping views of the Potomac River. Cedar Knoll is set just off the beautiful George Washington Parkway, which makes for a scenic drive. The restaurant was built around a log cabin dating back to the early 1800's, so the history is apparent from the moment you step inside. Each room possesses charming qualities adding to the ambiance. Whether you dine in the comfortable elegance of the Presidential Room or the natural splendor of the Botanical Room, both set the perfect stage for an evening with family, friends, and loved ones. Cedar Knoll is conveniently located minutes between Old Town Alexandria and George Washington's Mount Vernon Estate.

                                            Mixed experience at Cedar Knoll for Easter brunch due to a high volume of patrons and slightly chaotic experience. Our server was warm and polite but I don’t think we will be back, especially on a busy holiday!

                                            This was on Easter Sunday, but we were celebrating my daughter's birthday. I called twice to say we were celebrating a birthday. They were overbooked, understaffed, untrained staffing - it was horrible. The tables were crowded together, the noise was horrible. The service was VERY slow. Not once did they tell me it was a fixed price dinner - two of us are vegan, one is gluten-free. No choices. The tip was written in at 20% and the bill was over six hundred dollars for four adults, three children. Will never go again.

                                            A lovely setting, unique menu options, delicious food and great service! We had the venison and veal dishes, and peanut pie for dessert. Recommend all of them.

                                            Absolutely loved the outdoor patio on a beautiful evening. Food was out of this world! Unexpected live entertainment. Was fabulous! Louder than I was looking for but no regrets!!

                                            Really excellent Sunday brunch. Interesting menu selections, well presented. Refined atmosphere but not stuffy (children at nearby table well catered for). Overall even better than expected!

                                            We love Cedar Knoll and have been going here for years m. The have fantastic creative food tonight I had the oyster stew it was amazing. My goal is to try everything on the menu because I have loved everything I have ever ordered.
