My favorite restaurant. Food and service is always off the charts.
Love the staff.
Five friends got together recently for dinner. Everyone enjoyed their menu choices very much. Our server was outstanding and very accommodating. We dined outside so the noise level was a little elevated but still OK. Inside is quiet.
Love this place. Such a pleasant gem in Malvern. You kinda feel like you’re down the shore! The food is excellent and the prices are reasonable. I highly recommend this place for a cute date night or any time of day! Outdoor seating is smaller but cute and intimate. Pups are welcome!
They should probably do away with brunch, at least if you order breakfast food. It was almost inedible!
Really pleased at how outstanding the food was. Would definitely recommend this hidden gem!
What a find! Everyone enjoyed the meal, the space, the service. Perfect for dining outdoors. The indoor space looked lovely, too.
Nice atmosphere.....upscale, but not too fancy. We'll definitely be back .
Pleasant atmosphere ; live guitar music a positive
Food good; service pleasant but servers seemed overly busy
Owner very friendly
Ahi Tuna app was gray and flavorless. Veal entree was very dry and chewy, dessert and service where very good. We've been here a few other times without a problem so I'll chalk it up to a bad night in the kitchen.
My entree was cold. Had the prime rib, mashed potatoes and asparagus. I don't send food back, so didn't tell the waiter. Just don't like to send food back. Everyone else in our party had hot food so maybe it was something with the prime rib. Flavor was terrific though. I would still go back.
The food is always fantastic!
We have been to Cedar Hollow a number of times and it has been consistently good - good service, good food and good value. Employees are friendly and service is prompt. Usually have some very good specials and regular menu has something for everyone. On Friday’s and weekends they sometimes have music in the bar area. Usually very good and not so loud that you have to shout. Pleasant. Bar area is very nice - I shaped bar with bar area seating. Great neighborhood go to place.
We sat in the porch area. Noise was moderate at 12:30 but we could still carry on a conversation. I had the lobster bisque which was delicious, and the tomato and mozzarella salad. My friend had the quiche of the day which she thoroughly enjoyed. Desserts are house made and wonderful.
I took my 85 year old mother for dinner and the theater as a Mother’s Day gift. The food was fabulous and the service even better. It was my first time at Cedar Hollow Inn Restaurant, but it surely will not be my last!
The food was delicious and the server was fabulous!
Great food was delicious
We had to wait 45 minutes for our food to arrive. The waiter was new. I do not fault him as much as I do the people who should have been supervising him. They should have been noticing, especially as we three times had to ask for service twice from the host and once from the bartender. Fortunately we were not in a hurry.
Great Easter brunch! We will be back!
My husband and I always enjoy dining at Cedar Hollow. The food and the atmosphere is great. This time we are in the bar at a high top. The chicken parmesan fettuccine was delicious. Also we loved the creme brulee we shared.
Hadn't been in 15 yrs, went with a group of six friends. Seated in quiet room great for conversation. Our server J was accommodating, and took care of all our needs.
The soups are all delicious we had French onion, Mushroom, and Clam Chowder.
The crab avocado stack salad was perfectly flavorful and filling. The prime rib sandwich was another good choice, with the hearty au jus.
I had the red snapper with shrimp entrée, and it was inventive and packed with flavor.
For desert we shared the coffee crème brulee , excellent with a yum twist. (I luv coffee
I will return again soon to try some other treats I spotted on the menu.
Our waitress was very friendly! We were not intending on going to this restaurant and didn't know much about it but based on the reviews, figured we'd give it a try. We had a wonderful time and really liked our meals. A little bit limited on the menu and the only veggies were broccoli rabe or asparagus but we would go again.
Delicious lunch especially the Chicken and Dumplings special which was amazing! Please put it on your menu!
We frequent Cedar Hollow on many occasions. It is one of our local go to's for family dinners and just hanging at the bar on a Friday. We love going there as the food is an upgrade from the regular bar food at many of our local restaurants/bars have and we generally see people we know. On this occasion 6 of us were celebrating a friends birthday. Our male waiter was the most snarky/sassy/full-of-himself and inappropriate waiters I have ever encountered in my 61 years! At first we thought he was trying to be funny as the night went on it got worse. He argued with us that we did not tell him about limes in two of the drinks. Argued! Which we did ask as I heard them ask. He was asked if we could change a fish dish up that included scallops and to change them to shrimp which he did said they could do, but he brought out scallops instead, so back it went. And then he forgot to place one of the orders so 5 of us had food and by the time he brought out the other order, we were all done as she asked us not to wait for her as our food would get cold. We did mention it to him and he did take it off the bill which was the correct thing to do. I have had this water on another occasion with my family in the summer and he was full of sass then. I'm honestly not sure he realizes how unfunny he is and that his snarky sassiness is truly downright disrespectful. I do not know how he has not been fired. I will attend Cedar Hollow again but I will not have him as our waiter ever again for sure!
My wife and I had dinner there on Friday, February 16 and it was delightful. We have had dinner there several times and have not been disappointed. The food and the service of always been great. The front room, while cozy, can be a bit noisy but it’s the room we like. My only comment is that parking lot across the street has never been paved and I don’t understand why.
Someone told us how great this place was so i drove the 40 min to try. Appetizer calamari was mostly uncooked but when mentioned it the waitress she said something about being sorry. Got blt wedge salad with no taste and very little dressing. Had the blackened rib eye which was good. Wife had corn crusted red snapper which lacked seasoning. They could easily correct these problems.
One of our favorite places. Always a surprise or two on the menu and never a bad meal.
Birthday day dinner with the family, great time.
Excellent food and service.
Quaint spot - warm neighborhood feel. I like that you can go with an entree or a casual sandwich or lighter fare. Excellent beer selection. Coming back to try a steak dish next time.
We didn’t know what to expect, it was amazing. The food is delicious, service exceptional and the atmosphere relaxed. We are already looking forward to our next visit!
Do not give out many 5 stars for food. Food is always good at Cedar Hollow with a nice variety on the menu. It was a friendly business meal. It was easy to talk even with a musician in the bar (music was not loud, but you could hear it in the background).
It was a very nice place for dinner. The food was good and great atmosphere. I liked that the menu had items that you don’t find everywhere like veal and duck.
This was the second time at this restaurant. The first time, dinner was excellent and so was the waitstaff. This time it was New Year’s Eve and the menu had been changed for the night with inflated prices. The food was fair, especially for the price, and the waiter was terrible. I would recommend going on a regular weekend night but not for a holiday.
I have been here before and found their regular menu to be good value and very tasty, however, on New Year’s Eve they had a special menu with inflated prices. The choices were limited, but due to the occasion we understood why they would do this. We were a little taken aback by the prices but we assumed the food would reflect the increased price. We were sadly disappointed. The food did not meet a standard we would have expected for the price. Sad to say we were a little disappointed.
We were there for my mother in laws birthday dinner and we had a fabulous time! The food was delicious and the service was impeccable! Lois was great!!
A friendly comfortable venue for drinks, brunch or dinner. Food quality varies form good to very good dependent on season or occasion.
Excellent dinner for our annual 8 person family holiday gathering. Fantastic drinks and apps, great entrees and very friendly service!
We enjoy late lunches here as they serve until 3:30 when energetic noise levels are reduced allowing for comfortable conversation. Our server Katie was very helpful and menu choices were prepared to order and delicious as always. Highly recommend.
Always excellent food and service. We were late for our reservation and they held the table for us. Our server was outstanding.
