About Cedar Hollow Inn Restaurant & Bar
The Cedar Hollow Inn has been a local favorite for over 18 years. The building, which was built in the mid 1800's, lends an old-fashioned charm to an unpretentious atmosphere.
Chef Stephen Guiseppe of the Culinary Institute of America adds personal flair and imagination to a delectable menu of American Continental dishes. The daily Chef's Specials are creative and unpredictable, energetically inspired an hour or so before the menu is finalized.
Indulge yourself, family and friends to a casual fine dining experience in any of the three dining rooms, including an enclosed sun porch and a large bar area. Tucked away in the middle of everywhere, the Cedar Hollow offers an experience that keeps you coming back.

Cedar Hollow Inn Restaurant & Bar Ratings and Reviews
My wife and I had dinner there on Friday, February 16 and it was delightful. We have had dinner there several times and have not been disappointed. The food and the service of always been great. The front room, while cozy, can be a bit noisy but it’s the room we like. My only comment is that parking lot across the street has never been paved and I don’t understand why.
Someone told us how great this place was so i drove the 40 min to try. Appetizer calamari was mostly uncooked but when mentioned it the waitress she said something about being sorry. Got blt wedge salad with no taste and very little dressing. Had the blackened rib eye which was good. Wife had corn crusted red snapper which lacked seasoning. They could easily correct these problems.
This was the second time at this restaurant. The first time, dinner was excellent and so was the waitstaff. This time it was New Year’s Eve and the menu had been changed for the night with inflated prices. The food was fair, especially for the price, and the waiter was terrible. I would recommend going on a regular weekend night but not for a holiday.
I have been here before and found their regular menu to be good value and very tasty, however, on New Year’s Eve they had a special menu with inflated prices. The choices were limited, but due to the occasion we understood why they would do this. We were a little taken aback by the prices but we assumed the food would reflect the increased price. We were sadly disappointed. The food did not meet a standard we would have expected for the price. Sad to say we were a little disappointed.
I came here for gankangiving with me two sons aged 3 and 8. It was kind of lonely to be there without the whole family as my husband was traveling. But the staff especially the owner lady made us feel so much at home, even playing and chatting with my lil one! The food was delicious and even my picky eater said “we should come here more often!
Thanks for a great evening! Will definitely back with the whole family
Thanksgiving dinner out. The tables were beautiful and the ambiance as usual was cozy inn. The restaurant offered a 4 course thanksgiving dinner or anything off of the menu. All of us but 1 had the thanksgiving and it was delicious and better than expected. My husband has the osso buco and loved it. We would absolutely dine here again anytime and certainly again on Thanksgiving. The meal and service were 5 Stars.
Cedar Hollow Inn is great for lunch, but once you get past the soup/sandwich/apps which are excellent, the chef does not deliver. I had woodfired salmon which was cold and looked boiled with one char mark. My husband tried the lighter fare, the tenderloin salad and it was served with a pile of meat bits. Our waiter was a little edgy for a quiet evening in the burbs. Ambiance is great!
Cedar Hollow is one of our favorites. It is ALWAYS delicious!
On this particular evening, a gentleman who was dining at the next table had s medical incident. Chelsea and Nicole handled the situation with concern, care and sensitivity... while allowing the gentleman to maintain his dignity. The management should offer those two a huge raise . You cannot train for those emergencies and these two employees were better than great!!!!
sorry to say our experience this time was very poor. The ravioli appetiser was very salty. I only ate half of one (two came). Another guest got a seafood tower and the shrimp was not cooked at all, neither was the shrimp that accompanied another fish dish. My husband left and went to a nearby pub and got takeout.
I've been there before with good to mixed results but this time it was not good at all.
My husband and I love coming to Cedar Hollow. And on a very special moment, I can meet up with my sister-in-law for some good conversation. Cedar Hollow has a lovely sunny porch to dine on, but it can be noisy. However, there are many areas that offer a quite place to have a conversation with the extra noise of other customers. For the most part, it is a great place for food, conversation and a good bar scene with music. Check their web site for further information on their live music offerings.
Always get a delicious meal at Cedar Hollow. Sunday dinner is a favorite for the buck-a-shuck oysters. They had my husband's favorite...Wellfleet. I enjoyed lamb chops, cooked perfectly. My husband had the duck breast. One of our favorite servers, Joe, was personable, funny and customer-service perfect. A favorite place to dine and Open Table reservations make it so easy!
