About Cedar Hollow Inn Restaurant & Bar
The Cedar Hollow Inn has been a local favorite for over 18 years. The building, which was built in the mid 1800's, lends an old-fashioned charm to an unpretentious atmosphere.
Chef Stephen Guiseppe of the Culinary Institute of America adds personal flair and imagination to a delectable menu of American Continental dishes. The daily Chef's Specials are creative and unpredictable, energetically inspired an hour or so before the menu is finalized.
Indulge yourself, family and friends to a casual fine dining experience in any of the three dining rooms, including an enclosed sun porch and a large bar area. Tucked away in the middle of everywhere, the Cedar Hollow offers an experience that keeps you coming back.

Cedar Hollow Inn Restaurant & Bar Ratings and Reviews
Made a late booking - at 7:15 for a 7:45 seating on a Friday night. No problem. Great dinner menu but we wanted something different so we asked for the bar menu, which had several delicious pizzas. Perfect size BBQ chicken pizza was delish, as was the White pizza. Split a chocolate silk pie, which was a little rich, but quite edible! A little noisy by the window, but not unbearable. Next time in town, we'll order a regular dinner.
We were disappointed in that two of the three dinners we requested were ordered incorrectly. We had to wait a long time for the correct food to be delivered, received only a cursory "sorry" and no mention was made of an allowance on the bill or a free glass of wine. The food was only okay and the service was slow overall.
Like the restaurant - this visit was horrible - food was way over cooked - and we waited a long time for it to be served - waitress had no interest in our table we did not order drinks - drank water - which she never refreshed - had to grab another waiter for water, also seated on the porch - way too loud - there are too many good restaurants in the area, with pleasant servers, to choose from - will not be going back - nor recommend .... sorry Cedar Hollow - you lost me
We go there quite often for special occasions, like Mother's Day brunch, birthdays, etc. This was no special occasion, so they don't have a Sunday brunch, but a regular lunch menu. But it is really good, and many options. Would recommend any of the appetizers, and the soups. I had the French onion, was very good. I had the cheeseburger, done just right.
The "cold avocado tower" was not edible. It was warm, not cold, the shrimp were slimy, and the crabmeat had an off taste and smell. Ribs were not good. It was very loud and the waitress serving at the next table had a loud piercing voice which brought on a headache. No, we won't be going back.
The Cedar Hollow Inn is our "go to" place for staff lunches. The service is always excellent, food is delicious, the staff always goes the extra mile to take care of our needs. I would recommend the Cedar Hollow Inn to anyone who likes good food at a reasonable price in nice surroundings.
I work near Cedar Hollow and it is always a great location for lunch. The food is always good and the so is the service. I especially like that they have specials so even if you plan ahead on what you're having for lunch there is always a possibility of something new to try. On this occasion there was a group of 9 of us and both the service and food were still good.
Overview: Clean, beautiful atmosphere, wonderfully flavored and cooked food, kind service, and great music on Thursday night.
I travel on business, and as many know, sometimes you just want a nice evening where you are treated as a friend. First- the location is a little tricky if you are coming from the north. There are some road detours because of the covered bridge being out. It is a beautiful, scenic route, but the road signs are difficult to see and there are drivers who are very unsafe with their speeds. So drive safe, and arrive at the restaurant ready for a wonderful meal.
So I started with the BLT wedge salad. I chose the balsamic dressing instead of blue cheese dressing-still had blue cheese crumbles and it was wonderful. Warning- it is very filling so consider that when you order your meal. I also had a couple dinner rolls which were soft and full of flavor.
Entree was grilled salmon with mashed potatoes and grilled zucchini. The salmon was cooked perfectly with a honey mustard glaze, the mashed potatoes wonderfully creamy, the zucchini had a perfect smoky grilled flavor. I ate half and took the rest for lunch the next day so that I could have dessert.
Dessert: key lime pie. Some of the best I have ever had. It had a wonderful custard consistency, with a nice dab of REAL whipped cream on a graham cracker crust. I also had a cup of hot Earl Grey tea with milk.
MY ADVICE: Avoid the chain restaurants, especially Seasons 52, and come here for a real dining experience. You won't get that fake ambiance with overcooked underseasoned food.
One more thing- this is a nice restaurant, but keep in mind there is a bar- so people are having a good time and it is a little noisy- but not so noisy that you cant hear or thoughts or have a nice conversation.
The staff was great and super friendly but the food was not impressive at all. We were a big group and we all agreed the food was sub par. I had a steak sandwich with horseradish and it was almost diner quality and I didn't enjoy it.
The location was next to a busy road with a view across a gravel lot to a massive quarry. Industrial not country. We shared the 16 oz center cut steak, a featured special quoted at market price of $45. Too much gristle , not as tender as it should have been. The asparagus was thin and so undercooked it was like eating a toothpick. Wrong appetizer was first delivered and later we had to request it be removed from bill.
