About Cedar Hollow Inn Restaurant & Bar
The Cedar Hollow Inn has been a local favorite for over 18 years. The building, which was built in the mid 1800's, lends an old-fashioned charm to an unpretentious atmosphere.
Chef Stephen Guiseppe of the Culinary Institute of America adds personal flair and imagination to a delectable menu of American Continental dishes. The daily Chef's Specials are creative and unpredictable, energetically inspired an hour or so before the menu is finalized.
Indulge yourself, family and friends to a casual fine dining experience in any of the three dining rooms, including an enclosed sun porch and a large bar area. Tucked away in the middle of everywhere, the Cedar Hollow offers an experience that keeps you coming back.

Cedar Hollow Inn Restaurant & Bar Ratings and Reviews
The ambiance here is wonderful. We really wanted to like this restaurant but the food was extremely mediocre and completely overpriced. The menu really sounded appetizing but that's where it stopped. What we imagined getting was so different from what we were served. A dried out chicken breast (small) and a steak that we could have gotten at our leasr favorite diner. Yuck.
Excellent food and service. We both ordered trout, but the waitress informed us that there was only one order left. So she suggested something that was not on the menu -- Trout (one piece each) plus either shrimp or scallops. We agreed and found this alternative to be wonderful (hope it becomes a standard meal on the menu). The creativity of our server reconfirmed the quality of service.
My wife and I love the Cedar Hollow Inn and have been spending Anniversaries and Birthdays there pretty much exclusively. We typically dine on the porch with the candles and beautiful art work, this is our favorite dining place. Unfortunately there were some very loud and intoxicated patrons sitting at the bar just outside of the porch. The drunken vernacular was distracting. This is an excellent restaurant. I hope not to experience that again during dining there.
Myself and 2 colleagues dined here for lunch. It had been a couple of years since I've eaten here. I loved the ambiance. We sat in the enclosed patio area. It's a small, beautiful and bright eating area. Our server promptly greeted us, informed us of the specials and filled our glasses with water. Post ordering our food came out in a timely manner (which is always ideal for lunch). I had a club sandwich and my colleagues both had burgers. The presentation was excellent. It was very enticing and made us all eager to take that 1st bite. My sandwich was amazing. I sampled one of my colleague's sweet potato fries..it was piping hot and sooo good. I highly recommend Cedar Hollow Inn and I'm already looking forward to my next visit. I'm definitely going to order a yummy burger the next time!!
Always enjoy our meals at Cedar Hollow. It is my husband's favorite spot for Buck-a-Shuck oysters on Sunday. My favorite is the Wild Mushroom soup. Joe, our server, is personable and Customer Service excellent. Nancy is, also. Hostess, Sarah, gave us the best table on the porch. Will return often. Also, appreciate the discount coupon from Charity Dine, which gives a donation to the Alzheimer's Association.
Our server Linda was excellent. She was very knowledgeable about the menu. She was very attentive without being in your face constantly. She was pleasant and very efficient. The food was delicious (as always). Cobb salad is an excellent choice as well as the blackened chicken Caesar salad. If you have a yearning for soup, their mushroom bisque is excellent. Always a go to place!!!!
I don't know if it was a manager or a hostess that seated us on Friday night but she could not have been more welcoming or professional and Linda our waitress was spectacular. we sat in the back dining room which is my first time in that room. this is the best experience so far at Cedar Hollow
We were promptly seated for our 6:30 reservation (Valentine's Day), then given complimentary champagne within 3 minutes or so. Then, we sat for 20 minutes. I motioned to the woman who sat us at our table and when she came over, I told her that we had not been waited on yet. At that moment, our waitress appeared. So, the evening did not start on a positive note, but the waitress and food made up for this. My personal opinion is that the prices are a "tad" bit expensive, but worth the visit. The portions may appear small, but they are not. Their soup bowls are deceiving. They look shallow, but I didn't think I was ever going to see the bottom of the bowl, as I enjoyed my Lobster Bisque.
We had dinner here on New Year's Eve wth another couple. The prices for dinner were inflated. I ordered the scallops which were practically raw and over salted. I sent back my dinner but there was no real improvement when it was brought back to me. My husband ordered the chicken which was also undercooked. The dish had a fried egg on it which was hard. Our friends wanted to dine here so we agreed even though we had stopped coming here because we had similar experiences in the past. Much to our dismay it seems to have declined even more. Our server was very pleasant but I doubt if we will return and at this point in time I would not recommend dining here. It was a great disappointment.
Stopped by for a Friday night date with my wife. It was a good meal in a nice setting. Service was just a little slow for the setting and type of dining. This is not quite high-end for the area, but also not a Bar Food kind of place. As such, it was perfect for a Friday evening date. The menu is not the most expensive, but also not cheap. The food was cooked as it should be. I couldn't get my first choice for a bottle of wine, so I ended up with the House recommendation and it was too sweet for my tastes.
Overall, I would recommend this restaurant for a slightly upscale, Friday night dinner.
Lunch or dinner at the Cedar Hollow Inn is always a treat. The food is delicious, the service is always friendly and you never feel rushed no matter how busy it is. I would wholeheartedly recommend the Cedar Hollow Inn for anything from a business lunch to a special occasion dinner.
