Cedar Hollow Inn Restaurant & Bar
Chef Stephen Guiseppe of the Culinary Institute of America adds personal flair and imagination to a delectable menu of American Continental dishes. The daily Chef's Specials are creative and unpredictable, energetically inspired an hour or so before the menu is finalized.
Indulge yourself, family and friends to a casual fine dining experience in any of the three dining rooms, including an enclosed sun porch and a large bar area. Tucked away in the middle of everywhere, the Cedar Hollow offers an experience that keeps you coming back.
It was a very busy Saturday night! The parking lot was packed. We had to wait to find the hostess. We got seated in tight quarters. Rather noisy. The food and the service were great. Great menu and presentation. A nice mix of selections and specials. Live music was playing in the bar area which was packed. Overall a great experience.
Went for Valentine's Day. Food was just blah. Sat in back room. Once tables were filled, my date and I could not hear each other. Was ready for the meal to be over.
CHI was the perfect choice for my annual lunch with a dear friend living abroad. We sat in the enclosed porch, which was lovely. Our server was friendly and attentive. We each had cheesesteaks, which were generous and delicious. Highly recommend, have been here several times and never disappointed. Great whether it's ladies lunch, date night, or just hangin' at the bar.
Friends recommended this as it’s their go to place. Very good. I had delicious salmon and my husband had prime rib. We had the ahi appetizer. Good wine and beer list. And the homemade German chocolate cake was delicious to share.
We had a wonderful dinner celebrating my parents anniversary. Food was delicious, server was fantastic, perfect evening celebrating a milestone.
Every time I entertain guests at Cedar Hollow I am told afterwards...Can we go back there again? Speaks for itself! I never tire of going there for a meal, alone or with guests; it is always a great experience! Thank you.
First time there, was great, great food, service and ambiance, will be back for drinks, to eat and/or both.
The food, service and atmosphere are excellent. They are very accommodating and willing to make changes when requested.
The CHI is one of our local favorites!
Went for a business luncheon. We had to add a member to our reservation at the last minute and they easily dealt with the change. Staff was friendly and helpful. Nice surroundings with an upscale feel, but not out of reach.
Love the duck & mushroom soup
Just a great place where the food is excellent, relaxing in the porch dining area, good service-attentive, but not intrusive.
Impeccable service and extremely well prepared dinner and dessert. Recommend highly and we are never disappointed at Cedar Hollow Inn.
Difficult access if handicapped. Several stairs with awkward entrance. Parking across street convenient, but sometimes heavy traffic. Food good. Tomahawk Steak unbelievable. Too big for most people (48 oz?) Works for the meat and taters folks I guess.
Delicious meal- a bit pricey though. Overall very good!
The food is always outstanding at Cedar Hollow. Sat in the front room by the windows and that section is very comfortable and conversationally quiet.
LOVE CEDAR HOLLOW and have never been disappointed in the food, until Friday night... had the Ahi Tuna special and wish I hadn’t .... they have such better selections, will stay with the tried and true next time!!!
Went for lunch and dinner enjoyed everything. Highly recommended.
It took 10-15 min to have our drink order taken. The hostess explained there was a miscommunication. Server was friendly but must have been new.
Seated on the porch as requested. Temp very hot & uncomfortably.
Server very accommodating but inexperienced.
Special of the night: seared tuna with scallops
Dish arrived with medium sized shrimp & tuna.
Server did not question incorrect order.
Kitchen stated after plated & served “they ran out”.
Apparently, serve staff not told nor were we informed or given an option to change our choice.
Brisket sandwich: requested toasted bun.
Cold, soggy untoasted bun served .
Would I return for dinner?
Apparently, specials are not so special.
Requests are ignored.
Who’s running the kitchen & training staff?
Quality is not an option.
The food was very good. The wine was okay. Everything was expensive. Good for a nice date or evening out.
We were the only ones in @ 1145 but not empty for long. The waitress was very nice and on top of things. Food was very good! Definitely would go again.
Very good for a business meeting on weekdays, ...or a date. Quiet, excellent food (try the spinach salad ) and very good service.
Worst dinner I have experienced in a long time. My salad looked like it was put together by a 10 year old. My main dish made me sick later. The waiter was not helpful and rushed. He did not look out for his patrons. Never go back again. The owner or manager looked worried all the time. Draft beer se toon was terrible. My date was also sick from the food
We hadn't been back in several years but still a very good choice.
Were there on Thanksgiving day and although the place was quite busy the food and service were excellent.
No rush to get us out on a busy day. We'll be back!
Delicious 4 course Thanksgiving dinner... a great value for $40.00. Great service and nice wine selection to compliment the dinner. Nice crowd too with a friendly bar scene.
Went for a late lunch on Thanksgiving. We had the choice of the holiday meal or to order off the full menu.
All the food was excellent. Our server was outstanding.
Dinner was delicious. I had Kansas City steak and their lobster and scallop dish. Steak was cooked as prepared. Service was excellent. We had a party of 5 and needed handicap accommodations, and they were very gracious and helpful from start to finish. The restaurant felt vibrant and live music was about to start, my husband and I wish we could have stayed as it was a great atmosphere.
The food was surprisingly good, although lacking any credible vegetarian selection for one of my party. Service was slow, but they were missing a server (they said). But the real problem was the loud music associated with a game in the bar area, which is adjacent to the dining room. It began about half way through our meal and was frankly intolerable. This restaurant has to decide whether it wants to be a sports bar or offer fine (and relatively quiet) dining. It clearly can't do both. Unfortunately I don't intend to go back to find out what they decided.
Went with friends - it's local and so, so good! Our waiter (Joe) has been a fixture there for awhile - he's awesome! Very interactive! I had the shrimp and crab tower - it was delicious! My husband had the duck - his go to - and was not disappointed. The others got either chicken parm or the rib eye sandwich - all totally raved about their meals. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!
I hadn’t been here in years; had forgotten how attractive it was. Service was terrific and food was very good. It seemed a bit expensive but perhaps it had been awhile since I had eaten at such a welcoming place.
I brought clients here from San Diego. They ordered the Rib Eye and loved it. My colleague from Brussels, BEL ordered the lobster ravioli as did I and we both loved it.
Good beer and wine lists even though I don’t drink, that was their feedback. Quiet Dining room but a lively bar.
Nicely decorated-Its a versatile restaurant.
enjoy going here - will take friends/relatives for special occasions..
Always enjoy dining here. Lunch or dinner. Wonderful options on the menu. Always enjoy eating at the bar or the front porch. Sometimes we are celebrating a birthday, other times just a casual meal. So nice to have this in the neighborhood.
I went here for my birthday. I was very disappointed. I had emailed ahead due to my gluten allergy. I was told they did not have a gluten free menu but the chef would accommodate. The two items I wanted to order could not be modified. I ended up eating a wedge. The service was good.
This place has been a steadfast and delicious respite from the trendy places that keep cropping up. Food is gourmet quality, drinks are equality delightful and potent. Keep up the great work!!
Had a wonderful time as always!! Food, service and setting was wonderful.
This place is hit or miss. I’ve gone for lunch many times and dinner twice. Sometimes good. Sometimes average. Nice and friendly staff. Great beer selection.
My wife and I went to the Cedar Hollow in on the recommendation of friends. It’s a little off the beaten path but well worth the search. We were greeted heartily when we arrived and were well attended by Joe, our waiter. The food was exceptional and the price more than reasonable. We are going to make this a regular dinner spot.
