Cedar Creek Ratings and Reviews
My daughter arrived sort of unexpectedly from Texas for Christmas and we thought of Cedar Creek, it's 5 minutes away no hassle driving and was a very pleasant experience and my daughter was thrilled with the Gluten Free menu so it all worked out fine.A marvelous pre-Christmas dinner.-thank you
Came here to celebrate a friend’s birthday while it was snowing. Heard it was similar to Mims in Roslyn. Food was just ok but not as tasty as Mims, service was ok but they got one of the orders wrong with a chef added bacon to-a dish which was not requested and couldn’t be eaten. They did remove it from the check. It was not filled up initially but slowly people came in. Ambiance was relaxed, not noisy as was the bar. I had the grilled shrimp risotto with asparagus. It was good. Husband had the skirt steak. It didn’t have any flavor until he added some chimichurri sauce. Gnocchi special was good as was the shrimp ravioli.
people go to a restaurant for food ...AND to talk to there friends...
I guarantee that if you turned off the music ...no one would complain..
at least play soft ballads and instrumentals..
NOT THE TRIBAL music with a drumbeat that interferes with
Try no music for one night , and see who comments..
The food was delicious and service was decent. Only issue is with parking. They have a tiny lot that is supposed to be valet but there was no valet when we went and the lot was full. Not much parking allowed on the street so was difficult to park. I wouldn't go again because of this as it was a real pain.
We've been to this restaurant many times and went back recently after not going for a while. I was shocked that it was very empty, and I was disappointed in my dinner. I had linguine with shrimp and the shrimp was so overcooked that I could not even eat it. It was so tough and chewy and the pasta didn't have much flavor. Not sure what happened to this restaurant but I don't think we'll be returning.
Food was very good. Service was sporadic. For example our water glasses were never filled. We received our meal and then did not hear from server. Also, they were out of certain items on the menu, but didn't disclose this until it was ordered. Overall it was still a good time
My boyfriend and I have been to Cedar Creek many times. The food and service are usually above average. This trip was different. Unfortunately, we brought along our moms for Mother's Day to share our experience this time. We ordered 5 apps for our table of 5 and only received 3 of them. The waiter didn't notice because he didn't come by very often. He did bring us more bread during that time but I didn't ask about the other two, expecting that they'd come out eventually. The entrees came instead. My bf and I were happy with our fish dishes but the moms and our other guest ordered the linguini with shrimp. They were unimpressed. My mom, this being the first time meeting my bf's mom and not wanting to hold up dinner, wouldn't let me send it back. I had a taste. The shrimp were overcooked and hard. Finally, I had received a coupon in an email for 20% off that expired on Mother's Day. It said that it wasn't eligible for a special event show or with other discounts. It said nothing about not being good on Mother's Day. I told our waiter we never got our other two apps so he took them off the bill. He brought back the check without the 20% discount but having added himself a generous 20% gratuity. He signed the coupon so I could use it at another time. I just received the same coupon in another email with a later expiration date. I had already made our reservation for our Mother's Day meal before realizing I had a coupon at all so what I thought would be a silver lining turned into the last straw. After our mediocre food, middling service, embarrassment of being told no about a coupon in front of my guests, and getting hit with a too generous tip, I don't see us returning. I am a former server. I would never have stiffed the guy but forgetting two apps isn't 20% tip service.
