Skuna Bay Salmon
Came here for the first time with my wife for our 1st wedding anniversary and we couldn’t have loved it more. We got a complimentary glass of champagne and our server was delightful. Would recommend this place to anyone.
My salmon was over cooked and very salty. My husband’s walleye was delicious. The salad with cheddar and Honeycrisp apples was very good. I did not appreciate water being served in little bottles and having to request a glass. Server Bridget was good but never checked back after I said the salmon was very salty.
And nothing on the Open Table site let us know the restaurant was in the Marriott. We are not from the area and followed our GPS, until we got to the front of the hotel where we had to ask the valet if we were close to the restaurant.
Everyone loved the cocktails and their entrees. The brussell sprouts were perfectly cooked and the cheese curds were delicious. Service was very good until the end of the night.
The food was good and the service was excellent but was it fabulous? No. It was a bit overpriced but I guess given the location somewhat expected. I had a glass of wine which was good but again expensive. Everything was good just not great and the menu was limited in size.
Consistently awesome. Thanks!
Server was friendly and excellent.
I have enjoyed Cedar + Stone a few times now. Their breakfast impressed me more than dinner. The service seemed less rushed and the food selection was better.
Amy made our experience very special.
Brought some out of town friends here who are food snobs (I say this affectionately) and they loved it!
Always excellent food and the service is to match. Will be back.
The Brussels sprouts were amazing, our server was great, but my salmon was over cooked and very dry. Disappointing! The others at my table all raved about their entrees, so I’m hoping my salmon was an anomaly.
Excellent service and great food.
Meeting up with friends
MARCUS our server was AMAZING. We really enjoyed having him with us for the evening. This was one of the best meals we have ever had. You all do an outstanding job and we are regulars Thank you so much. Please never ever take the brussel sprouts, cheese board, or apple salad off the menu. Your coffee is excellent, by the way.
This place is steadily becoming a favorite. My family and I have been twice now and every dish has been perfectly crafted, fresh, delicious and prepared flawlessly. We are already planning our next visit because we can’t wait to try more!
Like most restaurants right now I assume they are having a problem finding workers so the service was very slow and a dinner service took roughly two plus hours for a table of four. The food was good but for such small portions I would have expected a smaller price tag to go with that as well.
Nice place overall, they like most places just need help and good customer service skilled people which is easier said than done. Kudos to the workers that are there busting their backsides!
Walleye was delicious but the sauce was so spicy that I couldn’t eat anything on my plate that touched it
The hostess station was short-staffed, but once we got past that frustration the service and food was excellent. My wife had the Braised Beef Rib and I had the Pan-FriedWalleye. Both were fresh and flavorful.
The Donuts dessert was a very pleasant surprise; more like twelve decadent cinnamon/sugar coated beignets with chocolate and maple cream dipping sauces. We loved it!
The service was excellent, professional, and appropriately attentive. Walleye was delicious. Wine list is good, not just the typical hotel choices, though a bit pricey. But then it’s an hotel restaurant after all.
Excellent food. Top notch service. Always a pleasure.
We sat outside on the patio for a brunch date since it was nice out. It was my fault for forgetting the airport was so close. Sitting outside can get pretty noisy when planes are taking off. Other than that everything was excellent and the staff was amazing! Have to give props to the hostess…she was amazing and very friendly.
Server was knowledgeable on wine and food! Also very friendly! The portions were PERFECT! Exactly what I expected!
I was staying at a nearby airport hotel whose fine dining restaurant was closed due to their inability to staff it. Hopped on the light rail to get to Cedar and Stone and had a lovely meal outside on the patio. Service was friendly and server was knowledgeable about the food. Nice wine selection . Had the phyllo dusted walleye with whipped potatoes and string beans. Very fresh and well prepared. High quality food. The bill was $100 for 2 glasses of wine, 2 generous entrees and 2 desserts. Worth it to this foodie! Second time eating at this upscale restaurant and once again it did not disappoint! Just a breath of fresh air! Would absolutely go back again.
Excellent food. The scallops and pork belly starter is fantastic, don't miss it. The vegetarian options are excellent and the walleye is always good. Service is very good. We have eaten here many times and continue to be impressed.
Restaurant in all aspects was very good for Friday dinner. Service was horrible the next morning for breakfast but food was very good. Being a hotel restaurant, it was expensive. On the other hand and overall this was in the worst J.W. Marriott I've ever stayed at.
There was a private party that was loud but everything else was perfect so we adjusted. We were celebrating our daughter’s birthday and the dinner was amazing. I highly recommend cedar and stone.
Ordinary “hotel restaurant” food, extraordinarily high prices
Great place to gather! Excellent service and food!
The wait staff was extra nice and accommodating, food was delicious and the drinks were a treat
Great restaurant and easy to access from the Marriott's parking garage. Looking forward to going here again.
Really enjoyed this restaurant. The food was amazing and the service and environment was just as great!
For the price, it didn’t meet the expectations. The Walleye fish was great, but the short rib was tasteless. The chicken dish was great. Also the charcuterie board was not worth the $24. They could add more bread and meats. The donuts were great. The service was also excellent.
You should add grits in the morning. Not just at dinner time.
I specified on my reservation that it was our anniversary celebration. We were sat at a table for 6 alongside a crying newborn in a stroller. The couple after us were sat at a table for two near the window and outdoor patio. While we were still waiting for our first cocktails, the other couple already had their drinks an an appetizer served to them. We both ordered filet mignon, the only beef on the menu. This place tried to be fancy by having a bizarre additional silverware ceremony at our table, where I was given a salad fork for my salad, and my husband was given a soup spoon. Then I was given a soup spoon as well, and the server absolutely said, “Because I know you are going to eat his soup.” And my husband was presented with a steak knife. I did not get one. But we both got butter knives, but never any butter or bread. Quite an elaborate attempt to be fancy from a place where the guy next to us in pajama pants had BYOB’d a can of Mountain Dew with his meal. Then the filets arrived, drowned in a sauce that tasted like Heinz 57 and grape jelly boiled together. It was poured all over the filet, potatoes, and asparagus, rendering the entire meal a loss. But at least the party with the baby finally got their check and left. Time to order a bottle of wine so we could get drunk enough to stop caring about how disappointing the night has been. Everything we picked on the wine list they were “out”, so the server said she would speak to the sommelier for a recommendation.... Yes, sommelier and Mountain Dew in the same review, I can’t believe it, either.... We didn’t like it, drank no more than a sip of it, and was charged for it anyway, despite informing the server it was not to our liking. The only thing this place got right was the filet temperature. Medium was perfect. If you choose to go here, get any and all sauces on the side.
Amber, Lilly & Rebecca were awesome! Food was delish’. Steak sandwich, Brussel sprouts, drinks…all were spot on! And those cinnamon donuts with the butterscotch omg!
What a lovely stop. Staff went the extra mile and were warmly welcoming. Food is fresh and creatively made.
The food was fantastic but it was hard to have a conversation with noise & echoing. Our server was nice but kept forgetting our orders & didn’t know what basic bar drinks were. Not the experience I would have expected for the price.
Felt very safe and clean. Food was great. Vegan options were satisfying
Great lunch with my dad!
