Always great. One of my favorite places in LA!
Overall good service was very slow but overall great day.
Loved the service
This was my first time and my friend and I were celebrating our birthdays. The restaurant is beautifully decorated as are the patrons. Originally we were seated on the left side of the bar where it was so noisy that we couldn’t hear one another. We asked to be moved to the quieter part and we were accommodated. The calamari we ordered arrived cold and we had to send it back. Our waiter seemed like he couldn’t be bothered or really just had no personality. He never checked on us to see how we were doing or if we needed anything. At these prices, we shouldn’t be the ones asking for more water or ice tea. It should be refilled. We expected better service. Especially since I ordered the truffle risotto $65 plate. The risotto was delicious and so was the grilled octopus. Overall, it’s a beautiful place but I wouldn’t go back for dinner, just for happy hour.
I had happy hours, One item came with chili, although they asked me if i had alllergies and i said spicecy food-chilli. otherwise all was good
The food and service was great.
Usually great but really rude server tonight really spoiled the occasion. :(
Loved everything about it. Deliciousness. Great service. Loved our drinks. Will definitely return.
Always a good experience at Cecconi's, be it business lunch or in this case celebrating sixth grade graduation. Beautiful atmosphere, stellar service and delicious food.
Everything was great (food, ambiance, service) except 2 things that really annoyed... First, the special dish (one of five or so mentioned) was like 150% more than their regular pasta dishes...truffle pasta should not be $65. I'm sorry, I eat out a lot and that's a con job sprinkling on some truffle oil and shavings and almost tripling the price. The wait staff should tell you this, when rest of their pastas are 25 bucks. Second. when you order a bottle of sparkling water at $9...the wait staff should also not unannounced pour 2 more without asking. Sad, because everything else was so great and they are clearly pumping bills here. Cecconi's...you're better than that!
I love Cecconi it’s a spot I want to take all my friends for casual yet elegant dining. Typically I have amazing service but on this occasion it was anything but...
We had to wait almost 15mins before someone took our drink order which pretty much set the tone of service we had throughout the hours we spent there. At first we had a gentleman helping us who only came by to take our order and then disappeared, we had to ask twice for water from anyone who worked there since he never came by to check on us. The second server we had didn’t even explain where the other one went she just took over for him. By the time she made it to us we needed to order more drinks and food. She seemed super annoyed to be working that day. After she took our order the same level of service continued. We would have to wave her down just get more water or Rosé. This experience was a huge disappointment considering usually I love it there and it was also my Birthday party. My friends felt so bad, luckily they took me over to the Montage for more drinks and an amazing soufflé to turn the evening around!
The place is beautiful as well as the people. The tuna tartar was ok a bit too much vinegar for me. I would go again and try another dish.
A group of us took our friend out for her birthday. The service was awful. The waiter acted as if we were bothering his day and he had no interest serving us. I had mentioned three times that it was my friend’s bday and he came out with a slice of cake but not candle. Then we waited forever for the candle. We waited for our bill we waited to be served and he never checked on us.
Food is mediocre. Great prices for location. Great wine list. Great atmosphere. I would recommend for pre dinner drinks and appetizers.
Food was mediocre. The service was unbelievably slow. It was Father's Day, but we had a 3:30 reservation. Middle of the day. Many people were leaving when we arrived, so it was far less crowded than before we got there. Waitstaff was friendly. They offered us a free dessert, but we were so underwhelmed that we just wanted to leave and didn't accept. I expected to pay over $100 for 4 people with no drinks or dessert, but I also expected to be wowed. No one at the table was impressed with the fair. Won't be going back. There are too many better restaurants in Los Angeles.
My visit to Cecconi's was mixed. I made a reservation for two through the dineLA website having been attracted by the $39 prix fixe dinner menu. Upon being seated, I asked the server for the dineLA menu. He said he did not believe they had one, but would check. Several minutes later (10-15), one of the managers approached and reported that Cecconi's was not participating in dineLA. However, she had gone to the website and seen that, indeed, the restaurant was accepting dineLA reservations. She apologized profusely and offered complimentary drinks and a pizza. The drinks were tasty, and the pizza quite good. Delicious tomato sauce. The bar was hopping; however, the noise level was a bit too much to bear.
I made it clear in my reservation that this was a Father’s Day family meal. They tried to seat my kids and my parents by the bar. Then they finally seated us away from the bar but told us we had to leave in an hour due to the next reservation. Forget even dreaming of a patio seating. Our family had a nice meal despite the treatment because we had a nice waiter and the food was decent. I will most likely never go here again. Really too bad.
Went for breakfast, had the green eggs (YUM!) and the coffee was good too.
Did not get seated until an hour later
Horrible service food was bad sent back 2 dinners
Overall the food was great but the service was pathetic. Right from the hostess to the waitress, they couldn't care less about us since we were there for happy hour. Hostess tried to convince us to leave as it was only 30 mins for happy hour even though we had a confirmed booking.
We had some pretty strange requests regarding our beverages.
I thought my sister’s were being ridiculous but our waiter was so gracious and accommodating.
The food was delicious.
We had a lovely time.
One of the best spots in LA for a lively dinner with incredible food. All around home run!
As always, such a great afternoon with good friends spent at this best kept secret for Saturday afternoon relaxing and sipping rose or cocktails....check it out!
They had an amazing vegan pizza, I haven't had pizza in ages so we so good to eat a vegan pizza that tasted real. Highly recommended if you're craving good Italian
I loved everything about my meal today. It was my first time there, but won’t be my last.
Really hot inside, had to tell the hostess multiple times that we were ready to be seated, server wasn’t super attentive.
Wie immer fantastischesEssen, super Service, aber leider haben wir den gewünschte Tisch draußen nicht bekommen.
Favorite international restaurant<3
Calamari was fantastic. Pizza does not compare to pizza in Florence, Italy.
The atmosphere was brilliant and was great when we were having a drink at the bar however, once seated and served our food, it was definitely not up to standard. It tasted like a very standard Italian, nothing special.
Food was delicious but unfortunately so noisy 🙈 no music just voice
The food was very good but the appetizer arrived after the main course although we ordered the appetizer well in advance. The waitress took off without letting us know someone else was taking care of us. We loved the ambiance though. The hostess was excellent. She gave us a wonderful booth and really checked to make sure we were happy with where we were sitting. We will go back. Salmon was excellent.
The table stayed full of nearly empty water glasses and waste paper from sugar...waited 30 minutes for the excess trash and plates to be removed and water refilled, multiple different waiters helped us, but the last guy when I asked finally for him to clean the table, acted like I was asking something crazy...I’ve been in the service industry at all levels and this was one of the simplest issues and core responsibilities of a server, I should not have even had to ask let alone receive the kind of look he gave me...what happened!! Cecconi’s used to have a higher standard, maybe this was a one off, I hope so, because I love Cecconi’s.
Terrible service. We waited 20 mins for drinks, server did not ask if we wanted pepper or Parmesan with meal, no drink refills. As a result we didn’t want to risk having dessert. I have eaten at Cecconis restaurants in Dubai and London and this was disappointing bec I expect more from this wonderful brand
Menu’s were filthy, restroom was filthy, the attitude of the staff was unprofessional. It truly appeared that no one in the building cared to be there.
It will be the last time I ever step foot in the restaurant. I feel terrible for the owners of that establishment. They have their work cut out for them.
The worse part is I brought my wife there for her birthday and once she returned from the restroom she wanted to leave.
We lost an thirty minutes of our life that we will never get back.
