Much too noisy to be enjoyable! Bar scene too close to dining tables, and service was very slow.
Set my drink back sent my food back way too salty substandard all the way around
Food was fine but I felt I did not have a chance to really enjoy it because it was served too quickly. I realize it was Saturday night but I specifically asked the server to pace us out but we were literally in an out in under an hour, drinks to dessert. Not worth it for $250.
Wonderful waitress and staff
Very slow in the kitchen
Service was alright. Waiters were friendly, just took them 10 minutes to even approach my table to ask if I wanted water. I asked for appetizers first then my main course to be held off until after I was done with appetizers, but instead everything came all together? Food wasn’t that great, probably won’t be going back anymore.
Food was really good. But the pastas we ordered were all cold as well as the pizza. They were very busy and we just ate it cold but it is too expensive of a restaurant to serve cold pasta and pizza. I think the service was a bit lacking. Took way to long to get our entrees.
Beautiful restaurant with beautiful people, especially for lunch. Eggplant Parma is outstanding, the salads ok, service lovely and they don't rush you. Because they have several rooms you can choose where you want to sit, the bar area is more private. Pizza and bread is always good, too. We always get a group together and have a fun time catching up.
Good food , friendly service et great atmosphere
Awesome place. Great food, service and ambiance. Will return
Great experience overall
The service was very slow. Made it hard for me to get in and out for lunch with my client. We ordered appetizers and I felt like the server forgot about us and ordering entrees.
Having come here on so many late night Saturdays for over 10 years, we made our reservation for 9:30. As usual, it was chaotic - and sadly, the hostess Danielle has departed, leaving a young lady who was less than friendly - I made my attempt to introduce, and was left feeling a bit cold. We were early by 15 minutes - so I expected a wait. By 9:45, I had finished a drink, tables were clearing, but my request for the dining room was ignored. We were placed on the patio at about 10:00, in a small table that left no room to move. By 10:10, I asked for the manager, since we were still waiting for service. The busboy, who recognized us, got the message quickly - he moved a second table next to us to avoid being hemmed in completely. Two managers - one who clearly has seen us in the past - were mumbling and watching - finally, one came over - I explained that we were used to Saturdays being busy, but something was obviously off, since we had yet to even get a glass of water. He apologized - and left, never checking back. The server was polite, but uninvolved. Our food came in a haphazard way - and from the mushy sauce that accompanied the lamb sausage, to the sloppy preparation of the bresaola pizza, nothing seemed to have any coherence.
Maintaining loyalty to a restaurant that is used to a boisterous crowd requires some patience - but up until last night, food and service were exceptional. From beginning to end - it convinced us that we will end our relationship (and my membership) with Cecconi's. The hostess is not up to the challenge - and management seems too feckless to lead.
Lackluster menu but great atmosphere. Really wish the food was better and more interesting.
We had a party of 4 and all our entrees came out 10 minutes apart from each other. The cappuccino and espresso wasn’t even warm.
Great but the noise at times was overwhelming
Food is always delicious, service always slow. And the noise level demands that you shout at your table mates in order for them to hear you! But the food is totally worth the other inconveniences.
We've eaten there before and had a wonderful experience.
The food was mediocre this time.
We had to wait a good 10 minutes between courses, and track down a server to find out what was going on.
We had friends in from out of town and wanted to treat them to a lovely meal - this turned out to be mediocre.
The service was extremely slow. The food was very bland although cooked to perfection, it lacked seasoning and flavor. With that being said I absolutely don’t feel the food was worth the price. The gnocchi was far too cheesy and my friend sent back 2 soups because they tasted like they came from the grocery store.
I enjoyed being able to chat over dinner because the music was at a perfect volume level. That’s a plus.
Loved everything!! Food is amazing !!
I haven't been there in at least 4 years and it has definitely changed but not for the better. The service is slower and the food isn't memorable.
It’s infamous for a reason. I was able to enjoy a truly great meal last night. A beautiful entrance and a chance to get a drink at the bar before we were seated. White truffle season has begun so I was able to enjoy their white truffle rissoto (highly recommended). Their eggplant dish was to die for.
Always a great experience. This time we brought our neighbors and they loved it too. The food was spot on (meatballs and chicken dishes were the standouts) and it was fun to have an evening in West Hollywood on a Saturday night where we weren't rushed. Great location
I invited my friend for her Birthday.Even though we had reservations and arrived exactly on time, they made us wait 15 minutes. Service was super slow. They brought the wrong pizza for my friend who is gluten free, then they brought the wrong check. My salad was so-so, nothing to brag about. The tea arrived after we were done with dessert and we asked to have it returned because we were late to leave. Too crowded and under-staffed.
Usual LA. Took too long to get seated even though had reservation. Waiters were too busy after we got seated. The food was good but not fantastic. Bolognese I did like
So, so delicious! Everything from the drinks to the food and dessert — worth eating over and over again. Highly recommend the Cavatelli with Lamb Ragu and the Lobster Spaghetti.
We had just gotten engaged and the staff couldn’t have been nicer!
Great Italian food and ambiance in LA! Would definitely recommend the antipasto plate for an appetizer and don’t forget the cannoli desserts!
My favorite place to eat in LA!
Restaurant is beautiful and food was fabulous.
Receptionist were a little nonchalant when coming in. The food was amazing as always. Waited for a table, for about 10-15 minutes after my reservation time so ended up sitting at the bar. Was told by the host that she would come check in when a table opened up but she never checked back. Not a major issue but did find it rude. Bartender was friendly but only checked in on us for the order and then when the food was placed down. Seemed to care more about his regulars and talking with them than making sure everything was good or that we needed anything else. Was wanting to do coffee and a treat but decided to just go elsewhere for it.
Overall the food was delicious, the service could have been better and the ambiance was beautiful as it always is.
Nice menu, good food - but extremely noisy and pretentious crowd. Service was good, but main courses did not arrive at the same time. While we spent a pleasant night at Cecconi's, I cannot fully recommend it - it seems too expensive for what you get.
A wonderful brunch! We never felt rushed and the staff gave us a lot of attention.
The bolognese may have been the best I have ever tried!! Delish!
Great atmosphere at the bar while we waited for our table. I would have had a martini, but they don't have proper martini glasses, so I went with a gin and tonic. If you want their special gin and tonic that's on the menu, you have to specify that, otherwise you just get the basic, which I made the mistake of. We were seated more than a half-hour late, but I appreciated having a really great table on the couch in the corner with a view of all the action. I was quite disappointed that the day's special of Ribeye was sold out. The filet mignon wasn't bad, but I was really craving the ribeye. Since we were seated so late, we weren't able to stay for dessert, which I would have loved, but we had to get to our next engagement. Great atmosphere in the garden area in the front! The waiter was exceptional. Really friendly, attentive, and great service!
Way too noisy. Would not go back there again service not good.
Great plant-based options. Best vegan pizza in the city. Fantastic cocktails.
The food was great quality and Samantha gave us the best service!
I might recommend but honestly service was slow and frustrating. Ordered a gluten free pizza but received a regular pizza after a long wait. Then had to wait again. Could have really made me sick if I hadn’t verified and for all of that I was simply offered a comp dessert- which I don’t eat and didn’t accept. Therefore I was expected to pay full price for this poorly executed experience.
One of my « go to » spots for drinks after work and dinner. Never disappointed. Good food, good service, nice scene.
