Very busy place and even as busy as they were the waiter was excellent. He took good care of us and gave us really good service!
Food was good but the pasta was too hard I couldn’t finish my main course. I like al dente pasta but this was too hard.
Waited 30 min for cocktails
Waited 90 min for food
No offer for inconvenience
Hostess not welcoming ...she seemed annoyed that we notated a service animal w reservation
And was not aware they don't reserve patio
Which was obviously not the case with the clients sitting at their reserved patio table next to us
Been a patron for years and hosting parties but I guess that was of no value to the business
Great food, always, and great vegan options. ........................
I have been to Cecconi’s many times and I have to say, this restaurant is one of my all time favorites. Everything from the space to service, cocktails, and dishes are just phenomenal. If they only had some background music, it would be even better.
First time visit. Service was incredible. Food as very good. We started with the gnocchi with Gorgonzola cheese, very tasty rich and delicious. We shared the red quinoa salad with avocado and pomegranates, very tasty and delicious. Entrees were the scallops over a yam purée very tasty and well prepared, and the chicken Milanese which had an arugula with shaven parm on top also very tasty. For desert we shared the profiteroles filled with vanilla ice cream, super yummy. All in all it was a great meal. I would have liked to see more authentic Italian dishes as this is an Italian restaurant. Great experience ambiance was delightful.
Lovely venue but was very quiet for a Saturday afternoon , most tables were empty but they still weren’t allowing walk ins which is strange. Meal was tasty but Very expensive for what it was...pizza and two sides...would probably only come again for a special occasion.
Such a fantastic dining experience! I am vegan and love that they have a selection of plant-based items, plus non-vegan items for people like my boyfriend. We ate on Valentine's Day and will definitely be returning for future special occasions. Our server, Ben D., was also fantastic!!
Great venue and ambiance but the service was horrible. Our server never came over to greet us, a server assist brought us water. He kept on telling us that he was not our server- he ended up taking our order. He was very flustered and I had to flag him down to take our drink order. Our actual server finally came over but was very short with us. Our first course, a family style salad was placed on our salad with two spoons and no plates. We ended up waiting 10 minutes to get plates to eat the salad. The lack of professionalism and attention to us really was an awful experience.
All was great including the food as usual. However, the server was fairly distant and did not come by the table much as all. Service was lacking only from our particular server.
Food and other employees were fantastic.
Excellent food for a vegetarian like me! And the taste? My Impossible bolanesa was fantastic and I didn’t feel left out with my carnivore friends. Beautiful atmosphere worth repeat experiences.
5:30 dinner and empty restaurant. Server was terrible and no attention.
We sat the area of the bar which is quieter and darker, a more intimate setting. The food is always good. I had butter lettuce salad to begin (it’s enough for two) and steak tartare as an entrée, pabsolutely delicious
A customer brought his dog into the restaurant and the dog kept jumping onto the booth seats. Dogs should not be allowed in fine restaurants (I am a dog lover by the way).
Everything was excellent. If there is anything to say - it is that I do NOT like the new “text” based valet system. I don’t give out my phone number as I don’t trust anyone to not remarket it. So what do you do if either you don’t have a phone , have a foreign number ( mine is Suisse ) .. or simply don’t give out your number ? What, can’t visit and dine at the restaurant?
I think the sales prevention team deserves a round of applause!
Cecconi is now an institution in Los Angeles and deservingly so!!!!
Waiter was not nice
There are just so many better Italian places, I keep going back and forget why, since I’m never that impressed.
They are rude and the service is horrible. Every time, it doesnt fail that our servers are arrogant and the host is even worse. I want to love the restaurant but they make it very difficult.
Service was great. Food was delicious.
My complaint is that 2 different members of my group witnessed women doing cocaine in the bathroom at 2 different times throughout the night. That is not acceptable to me. I realize this is LA, but you need a bathroom attendant to discourage that. They were not even in a stall. Just right at the sink.
food was very good. hostess was rude. she was annoyed that i asked her to clean food from the bench, and french fries off my chair. service was barely acceptable.
I have been to Cecconis for many years now, but it felt like this time I went the food wasn’t up to par. The pizzas are always good but the baked eggs and the tuna tartare were just ok, and those were 2/3 of our meal. It has a great ambiance but the service was slower too because it was so busy. We had to wait a while to get our table although we had our reservation. Generally I like Cecconi’s but this time I wasn’t as happy. Also it turned out to be pretty expensive for what it was, seemed way too overpriced.
Pasta was late so the manager took it off the bill.
Service was not great - food took forever. Had to wait 20 minutes for my table even though the restaurant was pretty empty upon our arrival. Disappointed from this experience.
The food arrived late .In my opinion, 2 pasta dishes were reheated several times , . This is not Cecconi’s standart. I was disappointed.
A beautiful, entertainment biz crowd and good food
We suggested Cecconi's to friends visiting from NYC, so they'd have a truly L.A. experience. Indeed, we were surrounded by many beautiful and beautifully dressed people. I really liked my gluten free pasta with a tasty, savory lamb ragu. My table meats had various kinds of salads, which they enjoyed - the portions were generous. Service was friendly albeit somewhat slow. I wish they had gluten free pizza - the pizzas looked great.
Been to Cecconi’s several times in other locations and find the food and service is consistently excellent. The WEHO location also lives up to having great food, service and a lively and sophisticated setting.
Food portions small and brunch menu limited. Would go for dinner but not a place for breakfast even though the restaurant claims they serve brunch. Wouldn’t go back for brunch.
Excelent vegan options!!! Overall very good food and great ambiance
Amazing experience as always.
Our waiter was awful. He barely checked on us and had a attitude when he did. He did not want to serve us and it was clear
Mucho ruido y quitaron la música
Portions are smaller now and hostess should be nicer and more welcoming.
Wonderful place with great food, ambiance and service, but tonight was unusually noisy at the bar (lots of shouting), which unfortunately dragged down my rating from 5 stars to 4. If you need to be sure you can do any serious talking, ask to be closer to the entrance patio where the host stand is located, as this is separated from the bar a little bit.
Food was extremely cold upon arrival (pasta and pizza). Drinks were mostly ice and had barely any liquid in them. Was really let down after hearing such great things.
Delicious food that took a long time to get to the table. I wouldn’t mind at dinner but this was a business lunch.
I love the food but the service was so ridiculously slow and it really wasn’t that crowded
The place is nice and the food is good. The server was bad.
Have been here several times for brunch in the past few weeks. Servers are always nice and pleasant, but this week’s was clearly wanted to be elsewhere. Did not appreciate being double charged for an item, either.
