Although the food and service were good. Did not get the WOW factor I was expecting. This can be due to the fact that we were seated extremely close and in between two tables. Everyone is really squeezed in. Also, the venue is very loud and noisy. Everyone is speaking over each other to hear themselves.
Beautiful ambiance and great service. Food was pretty good but not great. Would recommend for brunch.
Horrible service, had to pour our own wine...
Consigliatissimo, alto livello.
It’s all about the vegan menu! Delicious!
Cecconi’s came recommended for our one evening in Hollywood and it did not disappoint. The ambiance was high end yet relaxed and the service was impeccable. We ordered the grilled octopus appetizer which was quite tender and just slightly charred. Our entrees were perfectly prepared and represented new standards by which future dishes will be judged. It could not have been a nicer way to end our day.
Wonderful job at my birthday party!!! Thank you! :)
We didn't have the experience, our server had a bad attitude when ask to recommend a dish she wasn't too helpful or friendly. The food came out cold... I'm not sure if I'd go back. Beautiful place, but for the price... I expect supurb service! They drop the ball.
Very lively. Excellent service. Good food. Will be back soon.
Had a great time as always!
amazing service from the beginning, people are super professional , great service and food.....super happy that we have dine there.
Disappointing experience. Felt very rushed and impersonal. Didn’t acknowledge our sons birthday.
Food good but have given a low rating due to the poor service and ambience!
I've had many meals here and also happy-hours too. I would not go on a Friday or Saturday as the place is just too crowded. We last went on a Sunday 6PM and that was a really good time All the dishes were good. We both had a pasta dish; we share a tuna tartare appetizer. We had red wine by the glass. The wine was just so-so. Their wine prices are high and probably where the bulk of the$60 or 50% to the bill.
Ordered the meatballs and they were cold, (maybe frozen) had to send them back. Pasta was hard and dry like it was sitting in the pan all dried out.
We will not return to this restaurant nor recommend this place to anyone. We spent $200 ,and that is with no alcohol. A bit steep for sub par food.
Had a great experience as always!
We came from Scottsdale, AZ to celebrate a birthday. Thus is our favorite restaurant.
Had the wonderful opportunity to dine here both for breakfast and a dinner both were delightful experiences. Staff was super attentive and the food excellent. Avocado toast for breakfast was amazing! For dinner my son had petite filet cooked to perfection and I had the equally tasty veal chop Milanese. A true gem tucked away on Melrose!
It was very loud, too much noise for a romantic dinner but the drinks were great and so was the food. The seating is too close to other diners. The headlights from cars outside blindly come into the restaurant because nothing is blocking the windows.
Wonderful food, great place in every way, but soo acoustically challenging.
The only complaint I have is that the waiter did not specify the prices of the special menu when she presented them to us when we arrived at our table. My son chose the pasta plate at a cost of 65$. I was stunt when I received the bill. In conclusion, it would be nice if the waiter would mention the prices of the plates offered on the special menu. I understand that it is also my responsibility to enquire about it but in the end I am the client. All in all, it was a very nice experience.
Octavio great server
The food and the service was horrible. We had lamb pasta and octopus pasta both were super greasy and cold.
The food the atmosphere everything is amazing highly recommended
Honestly the worst experience I’ve had in years. Do not come here
Excellent service by our British gentleman server!! Food very good, truffle pizza, grilled salmon and gelato. Snafu w payment annoyed me. I had given our young inexperienced male server my credit card to pay for this lunch since it was a reunion I had arranged and later before dessert another guest slipped the hostess her card. I was mortified that my guest paid for our very expensive 4 person lunch. Our poorly trained blond waiter didn’t even show up to serve us desserts. He “was in the weeds with only one table” my guest was served a Pinot Grigio instead of Pellegrino - I never saw my second iced cappuccino - only the British gentleman saved this review and our important and critical reunion. I had explained that I was giving this luncheon for a dear friend who is extremely ill. Fire the blond slipshod waiter and promote the British gentleman. He saved our luncheon and kept our spirits up. I cannot get over the ineptitude of a waiter who allows my guest to pay for her luncheon. I am extremely distressed.
Awesome place
All excellent, can not wait to go back!!!
Much too noisy to be enjoyable! Bar scene too close to dining tables, and service was very slow.
Set my drink back sent my food back way too salty substandard all the way around
Food was fine but I felt I did not have a chance to really enjoy it because it was served too quickly. I realize it was Saturday night but I specifically asked the server to pace us out but we were literally in an out in under an hour, drinks to dessert. Not worth it for $250.
Great food
Wonderful waitress and staff
Very slow in the kitchen
Service was alright. Waiters were friendly, just took them 10 minutes to even approach my table to ask if I wanted water. I asked for appetizers first then my main course to be held off until after I was done with appetizers, but instead everything came all together? Food wasn’t that great, probably won’t be going back anymore.
Food was really good. But the pastas we ordered were all cold as well as the pizza. They were very busy and we just ate it cold but it is too expensive of a restaurant to serve cold pasta and pizza. I think the service was a bit lacking. Took way to long to get our entrees.
Beautiful restaurant with beautiful people, especially for lunch. Eggplant Parma is outstanding, the salads ok, service lovely and they don't rush you. Because they have several rooms you can choose where you want to sit, the bar area is more private. Pizza and bread is always good, too. We always get a group together and have a fun time catching up.
Good food , friendly service et great atmosphere
Awesome place. Great food, service and ambiance. Will return
Great experience overall
The service was very slow. Made it hard for me to get in and out for lunch with my client. We ordered appetizers and I felt like the server forgot about us and ordering entrees.
Having come here on so many late night Saturdays for over 10 years, we made our reservation for 9:30. As usual, it was chaotic - and sadly, the hostess Danielle has departed, leaving a young lady who was less than friendly - I made my attempt to introduce, and was left feeling a bit cold. We were early by 15 minutes - so I expected a wait. By 9:45, I had finished a drink, tables were clearing, but my request for the dining room was ignored. We were placed on the patio at about 10:00, in a small table that left no room to move. By 10:10, I asked for the manager, since we were still waiting for service. The busboy, who recognized us, got the message quickly - he moved a second table next to us to avoid being hemmed in completely. Two managers - one who clearly has seen us in the past - were mumbling and watching - finally, one came over - I explained that we were used to Saturdays being busy, but something was obviously off, since we had yet to even get a glass of water. He apologized - and left, never checking back. The server was polite, but uninvolved. Our food came in a haphazard way - and from the mushy sauce that accompanied the lamb sausage, to the sloppy preparation of the bresaola pizza, nothing seemed to have any coherence.
Maintaining loyalty to a restaurant that is used to a boisterous crowd requires some patience - but up until last night, food and service were exceptional. From beginning to end - it convinced us that we will end our relationship (and my membership) with Cecconi's. The hostess is not up to the challenge - and management seems too feckless to lead.
Lackluster menu but great atmosphere. Really wish the food was better and more interesting.
