CBS Scene Restaurant and Bar Ratings and Reviews
Organized gathering for over 85 people for pre-game high school superbowl for dinner and drinks. Over 12 reservations made by friends and family to come see game with us. Called several times prior to the evening to link all reservations together so we were seated together on the same level in the same area. Assured on several occasions that would be the case and they made special seating plan just to ensure that. Arrived night of game to check in to find that my personal reservation was seated in a totally separate section of the restaurant than all our guests, separated by a dividing wall. Impossible to interact with our guests who came to the event because of us. Explained to host that table wouldn't work for us. Unable to assist. Asked for manager. Told manager would come see us. Manager never came. Walked to different area many times during the evening to visit our guests that were seated elsewhere to find many many empty tables surrounding them that we easily could've been moved to. When we left that evening those tables were still empty! Called the following day to discuss, assured manager would call me back. Still no return call. Called the day after that, and still no call from a manager. As of now, one personal request to speak to a manager while we were at the venue and 3 follow up calls. No response from a manager to date. Very disappointing sub-standard service. Customer satisfaction clearly doesn't matter to them. Will NEVER go back.
Came in on the upper level and got our exercise by taking staircase to hostess stand on floor below, then climbed the stairs again after lunch...good workout! Turkey burger not the best I've ever had, but the sauce was put on the side as requested. Turkey BLT also served without the bacon as requested. Cole slaw side could have been a little larger as it was very tasty. Our server, Mariah, was just the right amount attentive.
Great place for kids. TVs are tough to use, but they kept the kids busy trying to figure them out. Listings aren’t clear. Stations are listed as Events. You actually have to click on the Event # (and there are many of them) to see what’s on.
Entertaining, but once or twice a year is more than enough.
The waitress was very sweet but the food was absolutely horrible, my pop was even disgusting! It was all carbonated water with no syrup and couldn't be switched out because the waitress would have had to go downstairs to the bar. The menu selection wasn't very good either. I was so excited about going here so I could get a nice glimpse of Gillette before we attended the game on Sunday. I made a reservation about a week before and told them the occasion and that we were coming from Ohio and I requested a table with the best view of the stadium. When we got there they tried to seat us in the middle of the restaurant with no view at all and there were plenty of tables open by the windows. Ended up getting a table with a view but such a disappointment!! At least the Pats won!!
Location was great, and we enjoyed the view of Gillette Stadium from our table. Each table had its own TV. The service was a little slow, but they were extremely busy that evening due to a soccer match. We were pleased with the menu options and enjoyed our appetizers and meals. Would definitely eat here again.
I'm not sure what I was expecting but it definitely wasn't this.
I took my two kids (ages 6 and 8) to the Hall at Patriot Place as well as to the different shops. If you visit the Hall, you get a 10% discount at CBS Scene so we went over for lunch. They sat us down easily and the menu selection was pretty good.
My daughter got the Kraft Mac & Cheese (pretty hard to screw that up), my son got the Foot-Long Hot Dog and I got the lunch fish & chips. My fish had that funny ammonia-ish flavor that was a sign that the fish wasn’t the freshest it could be. My son’s hot dog bun was kind of stale and the hot dog was “just OK” (although the portion size was very generous). In short – the food was fair at best. I would have complained or ordered something else but…
My complaint is that our waitress did not check on us at all. Not once. We were finished eating for 15 minutes and I finally had to flag down someone else so we could get the check. I even saw her look over to us but it took about an additional 10 minutes before she finally came over with the check. She apologized but it really wasn’t an apology – she said she was sorry but she "had a bunch of other tables she was attending to". So in other words we were the least important of all of her customers? Hardly a real excuse or a real apology. I consider myself an excellent and well above average tipper but I couldn’t justify even giving 15% for this.
In addition – it really wasn’t that crowded at all. No one was sitting outside and there were still plenty of unoccupied tables inside.
In short – I would have gladly paid that extra 10% for better food and better service. I can’t see me or my family dining here again.
this was my first time here and I'd say it was just okay. It wouldn't be my first choice if I was looking for a bite to eat at Gillette. Food was just okay, my son's mac & cheese was cold, luke warm in some spots, he never complains and he mentioned it more than once his food was cold. Overall, food was average, nothing spectacular.
We had a great family reunion at CBS Scene! The food was delicious, our server was delightful, and the environment was fun! The only negative was that it took a very long time for the food to be served. (We were a large party, which may have contributed, though.) would definitely recommend!
We sat outside. Tables outside were a little dirty as were the chairs. My pizza was really greasy and my friend was overcharged several dollars for her drink which the waitress promptly fixed. I would give the restaurant another chance. Bathrooms were pretty dirty however and this was on a Tuesday eve. Would hate to see it when it is busy
While our waitress was very good the food was not so great. My dish was not what I had ordered. We had to flag someone down to correct the issue. I ordered the chicken sandwich, The roll was hard and stale. I took if off my plate and put it to the side. Our waitress walked by and saw my roll on another plate. She said that they have had issued with the rolls being dry/stale. SO why would the restaurant serve them?
Plus we ordered appetizers-the chicken pot stickers and boneless buffalo chicken.
The chicken was fine but the pot stickers were so small-one piece was a bite.
For the money not a good deal.
I liked the atmosphere but will not be going back due to quality of the food.
Food was not very good. The lobster cakes were dry and over cooked. The turkey burger was thin and dry. The portobello mushroom that came with the steak was soaked in some sort of wine vinegar and was too acidic. It was our first and last visit. Big disappointment!
I was there on June 27 to celebrate my daughter's 21st birthday. The staff was very accommodating and all went well! It was a party of 19 and the drinks were very tasty! The batrenders are very attentive. I ordered a lot of "pub food" and it was delicious for everyone (in addition to a few entrees. My only negative comment would be the $2.00 "per head" service charge for delivering s birthday cake that I brought with me - gets expensive with everything else! They didn't even slice it, so why a service charge with all the money I was already spending. The scenery was great as we sat right in front of doors that were open to large patio overlooking Gillette stadium. I would definitely go back again but not with s birthday cake! ; )
We had a reservation for Father's Day. We were seated as soon as we checked in. The waitress was prompt and attentive. Food was delicious! We started with the pulled pork nachos. The portion was very generous. Our table ordered the meatloaf dinner with mashed potatoes. The meatloaf was excellent and again, was a very generous portion. We also ordered the Cobb salad and the chicken bacon ranch sandwich with sweet potato fries. Everything was fresh and tasty! Will definitely be back!!
We ate here after the field day with dad event that the Patriots put on. Place was empty, so I didn't quite understand why there were no available times between 12:00 and 1:45. Our food came extremely quick, which was an encouraging sign. Nachos were the highlight of the meal. I had a burger that I ordered medium, and it was definitely rare and still mushy. I ordered a beer with the appetizer, and had to ask for it when our meal was served. We waited over 20 minutes to get our bill after we were done eating.
The food was ok. The issue stemmed from the kids meal. The kids menu states "creamy mac and cheese" It was dry kraft mac and cheese- I make better at home. The waiter also asked my 11 year old if she wanted fries and then added another $3.95 to bill so her old mac and cheese with fries (she ate 3) came to $13.00- more then both my husband and my meals. To top it off I spoke to a manager who said "they would take care of it" and she took 3.95 off the bill- woop de doo- she should have comped the whole meal as my daughter hardly ate anything as it was so awful.
If I went back it would only be because the meat loaf sandwich was really good... (and our waiter was nice too.)
