CBD Provisions is a Modern Texas Brasserie located in the heart of historic downtown Dallas adjacent to The Joule. The restaurant celebrates the natural bounty and culinary traditions of Texas with a contemporary point of view, a commitment to local and sustainable sourcing, and a passion for making things in house with expert technique and superb ingredients. The cocktail program – created and overseen by acclaimed bartenders Chad Solomon and Christy Pope – features updated classics with a regional spirit, while the wine list emphasizes outstanding small producers from Texas, California and France. Fittingly, the beer program showcases the best achievements of the burgeoning craft brewing community in Dallas-Fort Worth. The interiors of CBD Provisions, designed by Claudia Woods, set the stage for the warm and social character of a big city brasserie with historic brick walls, salvaged wood floors, sumptuous leather banquettes, a fully exhibited kitchen, and of course a great bar.

This was our first time trying a restaurant in the Joule hotel. The service was not what I would expect in a high-end hotel. Our server was training a new employee - & the server/trainer kept trying to take our food away while we were still chewing our food! That led us to believe that is how CBD wants its servers to treat its diners. The restaurant was not at all busy - so there was no need to try and rush us out.
The quality of the food was high - but my dining companion's quiche was cold. I suppose this was to due to my burger requiring a longer cooking time, so perhaps the quiche's cooking was completed sooner than the burger & it sat out getting cold.

Great place and great food - my only issue was it took an hour for our main entrees to come out after our appetizers. The drinks and appetizers came out at a normal pace and the restaurant was about 3/4th full so not sure what was happening there.

Absolutely delicious! Business dinner where all enjoyed their dishes. The steak was perfectly prepared, aged tastefully! Large wish that there was more octopus on the small plate. Lovely room and tables far enough apart so it felt gracious. Cannot wait until next time.

Anniversary dinner. Kristen was amazing as a server and our food runner Juan was very professional. Food was great in presentation and taste. Only thing lacking was the oysters weren't that tasty and ice melted quickly and oysters were kind of swimming in the water. But the braised spinach and house made shells mafe up for it in a big way! We'll be back!

In town for a concert. Reserved table took 15 min to be cleaned & set up. Pacing of food was very slow despite ordering at the start of evening. Water Glasses were frequently empty. Bar drinks took a long time as well. We often were looking for our sever. Food itself was very good & the atmosphere was fun. The meal took so long we asked for our checks as soon as entrees were brought, so we could leave as soon as possible.

This was our 10th visit to CBDs and my 55th Bday, truly one of the best dinning experiences in Dallas. We started with the Cheese Board, the cheese selection was amazing, Marinated Bleu Cheese was “out of control!” We moved on the the Charcuterie Board simply perfect selections of meats!

I had a very difficult decision, Cote de Boeuf or the 38oz Dry ages Porterhouse?!! Well, the Porterhouse was fantastic! Perfect Med Rare, cut off the bone and presented with a clean watercress garnish! I requested the Bernaise on the side. My wife had the Double Cheese Burger with Potato Puffs, a little heavy on the garnishing salt but great. We also ordered a Roasted Hen of the Wood and Simple Vege as sides. Nick great job to your brigade!

I started with a glass of the Leviathon Red, and finished my Steak with Acume Cab. Dessert was the Churro Basket, great presentation! And to finish the amazing meal was the RWC, Historic Series Boston Bual Madeira, wow!

Thanks Again for an amazing dinner! WE WILL BE BACK!

Service was excellent from the moment we walked through the door. We chose to dine at the bar. Our bartender was very hospitable and made excellent cocktails. The only thing that fell a little short was the food. The dry aged pork had no discernible dry age flavor, but was very good. Also, the vinegar that came with the wagyu was unnecessary. The dressing on the greens alongside the steak had plenty of acid to cut through the rich steak. All in all, a very good experience.

This was my second visit to the restaurant and I have been equally impressed with both the food and the service for each of the dining event. For this visit, I ordered the daily special pan seared red snapper dish and I have to say that it was the most flavorful and amazing snapper I have ever ordered anywhere. The dish was a burst of flavors with every bite and it all tied together perfectly. We also had a few appetizers, all great, and I also really enjoyed the handmade ginger drink. Friendly and attentive staff topped off an excellent meal. I would highly recommend this restaurant. Plus, for anyone who remembers the Art Deco style mosaic scenes that used to line the lobbies and office spaces of the old Mercantile Building, or even if you don't remember, you will want to check out this great example of historic preservation available for viewing in the Joule Hotel lobby.

Upon trying to check in at desk, hostess and another staff member (manager of some kind) were having a conversation amongst themselves and manager asked us to please wait while they continued their conversation. Then we were told we didn't have a reservation (when we did via Open Table) and asked us to wait at the bar after I showed her our Open Table confirmation. They blamed it on Open Table having glitches sometimes. We sat at bar for just a bit, and hostess came over to apologize, it was their error. They seated us (lots of open tables around us), and we had to ask who our server was and that took another 10 minutes for her to come over. It took forever for my husband to get a drink. The food was very good, but the lack of any type of service made our experience one where we would not recommend.

Meal was good. Service was excellent. There was a large birthday party that came in shortly after being seated that continued to stand and visit near our table and others before finally being asked to please sit. It was difficult to have our own conversation and it would have been better for the party to have been placed in a private room or space as it did impact others in the general area.

Waited 30 minutes after our reservation time to be seated, although restaurant appeared about half occupied. Ordered winter vegetable salad but received wedge salad. Our side dish arrived about ten minutes after our main course. This was our first visit, and unless something was just not working well this particular night, we don’t plan to return.

Our experience at CBD Provisions was amazing from the food to the ambiance, especially our server, it pains me I can not remember his name, he is from Israel and was knowledgeable concerning the menu, the wine, and what impressed the table the most he had personal experience with everything on the menu, when asking about something he didn't just say it was good he described the flavors and even the texture. Truly an amazing experience.

Lunch menu was limited. Red snapper salad was very good with crisp skin. Easy classy ambiance. Serving food was fast. We mentioned needing to leave early but the server took his time to prepare the bill. And the table clearer spilled the table knife on the guest's leg.
