Excellent ambience w/ rustic mountain feel. Service outstanding w/ knowledgeable pleasing waiter. Meal superb!
The food was terrific,
Scallops done to perfection, very friendly and attentive waitstaff, the shrimp and green chili appetizer was excellent, would definitely return!
Another great meal at C. B. Grille plus lunch for the next two days. We recommend the veal cutlet and seafood linguini from this trip. Our waitress Sarah even remember where we sat last time we were there in March!
CB Grille is Copper's only fine dining option, but it is a great one nonetheless! I dine here frequently and am never disappointed. The service is exceptional and the restaurant has a great "feel" to it. My favorite is the butternut squash bisque, but the entrees are usually excellent as well.
Everything was great, except my steak was over cooked. However they offered to make another one and gave me dessert!
Our server was very welcoming, she was most informative, very accommodating, good food suggestions, wine. She checked up on us often very lovely woman.
Great food, service and price! Made our trip special!
CB Grille stands above all the other dinner options in Copper. Inventive menu, great ambiance, friendly service, excellent food. I have been coming to Copper over many years. CB Grille has maintained its first class dining experience. Only place to go for a great dinner.
Our meals were wonderful, the service was great and the music selection was tasteful. Can't go wrong here plus I got dinner and two more meals out of my short ribs. If you have a Copper Mountain season pass, show it for your 10% off.
We enjoyed our first night enough that we went back for more. The food was very good, although for me the flavors were just a little too intense. The service was friendly and helpful. And the atmosphere was lively without being too noisy for conversation. All in all we were pleased. A little pricey, but we've certainly had worse food for more money.
First time dining here and my wife and enjoyed it very much after a great day of skiing. Would recommend the Beef Tips appetizer to start. We opted for the comfort food, Bison meat loaf and the Macaroni and Cheese with duck. Both very good. We will definitely go back. Our server, Frank from Boston was great.
A great dining experience. The macaroni and cheese with duck confit and figs was beyond scrumptious.
This is a place we always return to whenever we come to Copper Mountain. It never disappoints. The menu provides a nice range of options from local to traditional, but always with a flair or creative twist. While dress and atmosphere is casual, service is top notch and attention to detail is evident. Don't miss this gem.
In fact, CM Grille at Coper Mt is just off highway 70 west. It is worth a stop, even if you are not coming to the resort!
Let me preface by saying we come from a foodie town, New Orleans. We all wanted one nice night out in Copper for food and craved steak. We were satisfied by all but the steak temp. We all ordered medium but they came out MR to rare in one case. We sent back 3 of 4 and they basically came back the same way. Gave up and ate them at that point as they were a little more done and we were tired. On a seperate note, our youngest had some emotional issues that night staff handled it well. Better than me!
Sorry to say, but our experience at CB Grille bordered on the unpleasant. The food was OK, but it took an hour and ten minutes for our main courses to arrive after we sat down even though we didn't take a long time deciding on drinks, appetizers, and entrees. The server stopped by one time to say 'the food would be there soon,' but no explanation as to the cause of the delay. The restaurant was moderately busy, but other tables who arrived after we did got their orders delivered before ours were. The manager (?) was walking around the restaurant, but he never interacted with us. When the meals were delivered there was no comment about 'sorry for the delay' or any other recognition of the problem. Even when we paid our bill no form of apology was offered. We had eaten at the Grille last winter and had a pretty nice evening, but we left this visit certain we wouldn't be returning.
The night before we ate at La Petit Paris in Breckenridge which was over priced for mediocre food & service. CB Grill was awesome. We had a new, but energetic & knowledgeable server and the food was excellent for a lot less money than the night before. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.
We've going to CB Grill for years and continue to experience inconsistent quality. This time the tenderloin was excellent but the lamb rib appetizer was inedible as it was almost totally fat. We decided to share a salad but for some reason the kitchen couldn't split the salad for us, which is unusual, in our experience, for a restaurant trying to position itself as high end. In our opinion, CB Grill has an identity crisis. Can't decide whether it's high end (dishes and prices) or middle of the road (quality and servers who know the menu besides saying a particular dish is very popular).
We were surprised and delighted by this beautiful restaurant - very richly cozy on a cold winter night! Our food was excellent and service by Roman very pleasing. My husband chose the rack of lamb and considers it one of his most memorable meals.
About what you'd expect for a "nice" ski resort restaurant: service was very good and prices are on the high side. We had a party of six and our table was ready when we arrived. The restaurant was pretty empty, but it was a Monday night, so that's not unexpected.
Food was good. One of the desserts (caramel brownie pie) was too hard to cut. They took it back and tried to "thaw" it a bit, which helped. Ultimately they didn't charge us for it and added another dessert for free too even though we hadn't complained (and managed to get through the caramel and eat it all anyway), so that was a nice touch.
Food here is very very good.
I had the bison meatloaf, outstanding. My wife had the breaded veal special with twice baked sweet potato. WOW. My son inhaled the scallops, they were very fresh. Highly recommended.
Good wine selection.
I will have dinner here every time I go to Copper Mtn.
Only negative is that the service was so attentive that we could not help feeling a little rushed.
We had salmon and local bass. Both we're prepared great but just a little heavy, as mountain food often is. When you're in Copper, it's the best and only place to eat!
We had very good service as usual. My husband and I both had the special Veal Parmesan which was enough for our lunch on the next day. It was tasty! Our friend who dined with us was both gluten free and dairy free and they made a special effort to accommodate her. She was very happy with her duck and potatoes shaped like mushrooms.
Our old fashioneds and bloody Mary's were outstanding. The rest of our food was standard - not fabulous and not worth the $. The wine list was limited, so we stuck with liquor. Save a bit of money and go eat at one of the bars.
This restaurant is always excellent. Two caveats: When I booked I mentioned that it was our anniversary - no mention or effort was made of this when we showed up. Secondly, there is a rumor the chef may be leaving, and if this is so, then things may change.
Food excellent as always, lamb done perfectly, delicious fish, vegetables just right
Service can be slow, relax and enjoy
Advise go early and make a reservation!
The bartenders are superb. Excellent service whereas the waitstaff is only average. The chef has been here a few years now and is quite creative. The appetizer chile relleno stuffed with shrimp is absolutely outstanding, but he removed the wonderful ahi tuna wontons from the menu and replaced with some kind of tuna and egg thing. I sure don't want egg with my tuna. Two of us had the buffalo short ribs. One order fell off the bone, perfectly done along with a great cheese polenta and fresh vegetables. Mine was undercooked, tough, and fatty. Grilled salmon and shoulder tenderloin steak showed the effects of open fire grilling. Unless you like a charred taste, then don't order. Lots of good choices on the menu and the best restaurant in Copper Mountain. With a few refinements and consistent execution it could be so much better.
Ok place. The staff was good, but for the price, I thought the overall experience should be better. We were there early and they were already out of food on the menu. Wish that was better prepared.
The food, wine, service and ambience combined to make for a delightful evening for our family which gathers for a special Christmas meal each year at Copper Mountain. We will return.
Service and food where both outstanding!! Very enjoyable!
This is a beautiful restaurant, great food, great atmosphere, great service. The restaurant is elegant, it is quiet, it is romantic. We dine here every year during our vacation and alway enjoy our evening.
From the moment we stepped foot in this restaurant, we were nothing but disappointed. We arrived early for our dinner and while the restaurant was almost empty, we still had to wait until the exact time of the reservation. "Chef" -- who served as the front of house attendant, bartender, and backup server -- was running around the restaurant creating a feeling of anxiety for guests. We didn't understand why he was telling customers on the phone (yes, he was walking...or running...past our table with phone in hand) that there wasn't availability until much later in the night when the restaurant was half empty. What ticked me off most was how he brashly ordered around the wait staff right beside our table. How is that supposed to be relaxing and romantic?
Our server never asked how we were, if we were celebrating a special occasion, and she pretty much threw our plates in front of us.
The food was decent but was a little too rustic-flavored for us. The chaos that ensued from "Chef" and his staff made us lose our appetite. Was the $120 meal for two people worth it? Absolutely not.
Thus, we'd recommend to a friend, BUT only because of the limited options in Copper. While the food is good, it does not approach great and our experience stands in contrast to most reviews. We dined on an evening during the guitar festival, a Friday night, and there were relatively few patrons in a capacious (perhaps too much so) space. Better bets for "local" dining are in Frisco and Keystone. Existential question: With the exceptions of Aspen, Vail, and perhaps Telluride, why is it that otherwise well known ski areas struggle to capture true high end dining?
Given we were in Colorado ski country, we took our chances ordering fish for dinner, but it was superb! The folksy style guitarist played old favorites that made us smile and hum. Thank you for a very enjoyable evening!
A wonderful experience from the greeter at the door, Ashley our server, the delicious food to the quiet, unassuming guitar player (we could actually talk and enjoy the background music). We haven't been there for 4 years but we will be back soon!!
I have never had a disappointing meal at CB Grille. Meals are always an interesting mix of fresh vegetables, grains or starch and meat. They also have vegetarian options. This time, I had the pork tenderloin with snow peas, asparagus and some grain. My husband loved the scallops. You can't go wrong with anything on the menu. We also enjoyed the guitar player. He is always so tasty and unobtrusive!
The food was outstanding and the service was excellent. We went in the summer, so the crowd was light. However, dishes were very flavorful and well presented. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone.
CB Grille is one of our favorite places to eat in Summit County. The food is not your typical menu and we are trying different items each time we eat here. Never disappointed. The appetizers are scrumptious but could be a little bigger. Will come back again.
We stayed at Copper Mt. and had a great evening with the kids at CB Grill!
Our party covered three generations and we all enjoyed it. Great Presentation.
The food was excellent. We started with the ahi tuna tostadas and mushroom beet salad then moved on to the elk chops and bison meatloaf. The elk chops were unbelievable! The bison meatloaf was also great but the elk was wonderful. Only call out would be to add another bar tender and get more options of draft beer. The bar tender/ manager was running around crazy but had everything under control. We will definitely be back next year!
