It was our first night at the hotel, and opted for a low key early dinner. The burgers were a hit, but my veggie burger wasn’t very good.
Our server, Ky, was over the top great. He was friendly, funny, efficient, and the best server during our stay at the hotel.
Was very disappointed with Spinach Artichoke dip being served cold but wasn’t charged for it.
Fish and chips was ordered ($21) but got three pieces of fish with chips (that would have fed two from one plate)
Music was so loud that we couldn’t have a normal conversation
Add in that they appear short staffed for a Friday evening and appeared to be staffed properly for wedding rehearsal and special banquet event
During our visit we decided to order two large Cesar Salads, but since the burgers are quite large, we decided to share one this time around. What really impressed me the most was their attention to detail. Usually if you order something to share, a restaurant will bring out two empty plates and leave it up to the customer to portion the food. However, someone on the staff actually split the burger in two, and also split the fries (part of the meal) on to two plates and served them ready to go. It is little things like this that really set apart this restaurant.
Also I might add the waiting staff is exceptional too, very friendly and you can tell they are ready and willing to make sure you are having a great meal. We will definitely be back again in the near future.
Nate makes killer margaritas. Ky is an outstanding server. Twelve hour smoked pork ribs were outstanding. Sunset view is very nice for outdoor dining. This restaurants provides quality service and food. Prices are moderate to high and selection of dinner type entrees is small.
This was our first time to eat at Cayton's but it definitely won't be the last. The atmosphere was outstanding. They clearly spared no expense when building out the restaurant. The burgers were incredible and the bun was just right. Cayton's has taken burgers to the next level.
Ky, our waiter, was knowledgeable and very helpful as he intently listened and suggested options. He anticipated our needs (and wants!) at every point in the meal. Ky is a TRUE asset to the RITZ team. He embodies your service model. He created an OUTSTANDING dining experience for us.
The food is always great, the service is definitely on par with what you would expect from a place that is part of a Ritz Carlton resort. However the only negative thing I have to say was during this weekend dinner, they had a musician playing live music. As much as I enjoy this type of amenity, it was a bit loud and hard to communicate with my party of 4. My only recommendation would be to tone down the live music a bit since the seating inside is not that vast, so you are always close no matter where you sit.
All around a a great experience though
Great views, clean, cozy, beautiful furniture, but so so food. If you are a chef at heart yourself, you will notice the cafeteria like quality of the food here. The building/ambiance lead you to think you are in for a treat-only to be disappointed first thing by the greasy chips and sour cream dip they put on the table. The menu lends you to believe you are definitely somewhere down south, where oil and sugar is used a little more than it should be.
