Cayton's at The Ritz-Carlton Golf Club, Dove Mountain
Named after one of Dove Mountain’s most colorful and legendary residents, Eugene "Cush" Cayton, the original homesteader, cowboy and poet of the area that is now Dove Mountain.
The setting and cuisine of Cayton’s reflects the high standards and legendary service of The Ritz-Carlton.
Beautiful evening on the patio. Although our waiter Joe was really busy, he did an excellent job!
Was seated right away by a really nice hostess. Then sat there for at least 10 minutes and was never recognized. Servers came and went to all the other tables, and we never even got water, finally got up and left. Too bad, used to be one of our favorite restaurants. Our first plan was to head to ignite at the Ritz, turns out they are closed right now to anyone except guests of the hotel according to the guy at the gate. Finally ended up at Dove Mountain brewery and had a nice evening.
My husband and I met with our good friend to spend some much missed time together due to the COVID. We enjoyed the beautiful restaurant and view surrounding it. The wine was great and our meals were perfect.
Excellent food and views, and the service is always top notch. Highly recommend
They are doing a great job with following social distancing requirements and the food was great.
The place has beautiful views. The food and service are
It’s a shame that Covid has put so many restrictions on all of us. I returned to Cayton’s for the awesome memory of the sunset, bison burger and lavender lemonade as well as the posh service. Service wasn’t quite posh and I’m very regretful that the new chef removed lavendar lemonade and bison burger from the menu.
It was a disappointing night.
The restaurant was understaffed.
Issues: 1 - We waiting too long for our water to be refilled (it was 90+ outside), 2 - When we got our food, we didn't have utensils, 3 - We didn't get our side dish with our entrees, we had to ask for it.
The food was good, but the whole experience just wasn't up to par.
This isn't their norm, but you have to call it like you see it.
It was awesome!
We love 💕 Caytons but our server was inattentive slow and did not follow up on 2 requests. Lemon and more catsup. Never smiled either.
Great good and awesome service in a stunning setting.
Everything was great except this idiot was allowed to put his feet up on the furniture.
As always...the food was “on par” and Joe, our wait team member was so congenial with the right amount of attention!
Will be back in August!
Caytons is always a very nice experience at a reasonable price. Welcome back!
Excellent job with social distancing and sanitizing. We felt very safe and comfortable in this current environment.
Service was very good, brisket sandwich was tasteless with almost no meat on it. White bread for sandwich and cheese had no flavor. Fries were mediocre. View gorgeous.
The food was pretty basic and the hamburger was on the raw side of medium, which made it difficult to eat for both myself and my son. It was overpriced for the meal served. Next time, Five Guys!
Great food. Service was excellent. Unfortunately we had a party of seated next to us 3/4 way through our meal and one of the “ ladies” was absolutely the loudest , rudest person I have ever encountered. No matter wha
Our party of four had a great evening. The food was excellent and the staff and facilities couldn’t have been better. Thank you.
Poor service, undercooked food, wrong food delivered. Meanwhile, the manager gabbed with an adjacent table for at least 45 minutes and was completely oblivious.
I’ve been to Cayton’s numerous times Service is usually slow & disorganized Wanted too long to see waiter My prime rib was room temperature no butter with bake potato Very slow to get butter Terribly long to get bill paid I’m done with this place
The food was not as good as anticipated at such a nice resort. Had heard great things about Cayton’s - food wise - and was quite disappointed. I’d say the food was mediocre at best. The sunset, however, was spectacular!
Awesome views. Was disappointed in food, but great beverages. They were hosting a special event that evening so that might have accounted for "good" service rather than their usual "great" service. It's still a venue I would return to AND recommend.
Great restaurant and as you would expect from a "Ritz-Carlton".
We ate outside. Food, service, and setting was perfect!
Bummer that slow service continues to be an issue . Such a beautiful setting.
Cayton's did not meet our expectations this time. The brisket flatbread was hard and cold and we had to ask various servers to bring ranch dip which was supposed to come with the buffalo cauliflower. The server was also curt and rushed. We've been dining at Cayton's for 5 years without disappointment and hope the food and service return to prior level of quality.
Lovely VDay lunch.
Under staffed. Out of daily special and it was only 6:00. Doors were left open to patio which made dining room freezing.
Food was great and server was very apologetic for being understaffed.
Excellent service, delicious food with a phenomenal view!
Beautiful setting, wonderful service and delicious food. A special night!
Nathan was excellent.
Lovely setting on the outside patio. Excellent service and absolutely delicious burgers!
Beautiful outdoor patio area with excellent food. We were there at sunset, and it was exceptionally gorgeous. Joe was a very good server. Drinks took way too long to be brought to the table, but the food came out quickly. Food was tasty and prepared to perfection. We will be back. Certainly give strong recommendation for Cayton’s.
Great place for a nice evening of Wine & Dine. Great Menu slections that are not confusing as some place that have a small booklet requiring lengthy browsing time. If you want a very good dining Bistro with a gorgeous View then jump in your Car and head here. Best Foodie destination on Dove Mountain. You will not regret it. The entire staff is A+
First time here and the 19th hole burger was amazing. Good review on the pulled pork sandwich too. Beautiful atmosphere and great service.
Not sufficient dinner option. Mostly Appetizers and burger type sandwiches.
We go to Caytons regularly. Unfortunately, this is the first time we’ve been disappointed. Service was slow. We frequently had to summon staff multiple times with our requests for more drinks, etc. our waiter said he had been assigned many tables and apologized for the slow service. Management needs to address having adequate staff, or they will begin losing customers ... regular ones like us.
We eat here several times per month. Normally we give high ratings for everything. However the service was well below par last Saturday. After we ordered, It took over 20 minutes to get our first drinks. Everything seemed out of sync. This has never happened to us here before. Not sure if it was a lack of staffing issue or what. We will try it again, but may have to reconsider if this level of service becomes the new norm.
Three of us having lunch on the patio enjoying the fish and chips special...... it was perfect. We are locals and dine here often and today was one of those winter days full of sunshine and you could sit outside mesmerized by the views good conversation and great food. From the time we were met at the door by Anthony and serviced perfectly by Vido.... we just had a spectacular day.
