Cava Ratings and Reviews
I love to find restaurants where I can sit at the bar with my kindle and be served in a way that values my patronage, along with delicious food. Cava delivered on every front. The chicken liver foie gras mousse is as delicious as I remember 10 years ago. The staff volunteered that I could have 1/2 servings of vegetables as I was by myself. Great food, lovely wine and excellent service. Expect it to be a bit pricey but I thought good value compared to the many sports bars that seem to be the only other options in this neighbourhood!
Love the tapas menu...such an adventure - every bite a treat. Pate was incredible...so too the basque cake, the eggplant, the sable fish! Dreamy. Awesome way to spend time with the girls...but equally great with the love of your life. :) Hint: the street view undermines the real experience - must open the door and see for yourself.
Just throw yourself over to the recommendations of the incredible team at CAVA and enjoy the ride. From the wine to the tapas, and just give in when they recommend the chocolate-blueberry-salted peanut dessert! You’re going to dream about it for days after. Thanks CAVA - you never disappoint.
Went to Cava on a Saturday night on recommendation from a friend. Overall, the food, presentation, and service was excellent. Maybe a little pricey, but tapas usually is. My only complaint would be that it was very loud and hard to hear the conversation at our table. Nice wine selection.
Cava is consistently wonderful! A dinner of sharing plates has real appeal, because it allows you to try so many flavours, and the chef there knows how to blend them beautifully. The atmosphere is cozy, the service is flawless and the food is terrific and inventive. And for wine lovers, there's an extensive list. I will be back again ... and again.
Did not have a good experience here. We were greeted by about 5 different waiters all who couldn't get our order right. Food was extremely overpriced for what you received. Waited about 20 minutes inbetween courses, and one waiter was pressuring our table of 2 to order more plates than just 4. Will not be returning
Our experience at Cava was exceptional. We chose to let Cava cook for us and we were tempted with amazing and unusual dishes clearly cooked with care and pride. It was my husband's 65th and he truly enjoyed himself. Unfortunately because of t he tapas style it was difficult to gauge the amount we ate and we could not indulge in dessert! Next time. I certainly would like to return but know that because the menu is pricey(though worth it) it will be an occassional dining spot.
We went here to celebrate my friends birthdays and a girls weekend away. The wine was incredible. We ordered several tapas to share with each other. Staff was limitedly helpful w choosing selections, except to say they'd choose for us at approximately $70/pp. The atmosphere was pretentious and loud.. Making it hard to enjoy the overpriced food selections, which were tasty, but lacked presentation or explanation. Overall experience was okay, only because of the company I kept and the beautiful wines we drank. It was definitely an experience, but one I do not think we'd recommend. (don't expect to leave here for less than $100/pp if drinking alcoholic beverages)
We have had a few great meals at Cava. This time around it was a bit busy and very noisy and there was too much waiting between plates. Unfortunate as one of our party had never been there and wouldn’t be inclined to return. I will give them the benefit of the doubt and would come back but maybe ask to sit in the front window section where it may be quieter.
