Cava Ratings and Reviews
Our experience at Cava was exceptional. We chose to let Cava cook for us and we were tempted with amazing and unusual dishes clearly cooked with care and pride. It was my husband's 65th and he truly enjoyed himself. Unfortunately because of t he tapas style it was difficult to gauge the amount we ate and we could not indulge in dessert! Next time. I certainly would like to return but know that because the menu is pricey(though worth it) it will be an occassional dining spot.
We went here to celebrate my friends birthdays and a girls weekend away. The wine was incredible. We ordered several tapas to share with each other. Staff was limitedly helpful w choosing selections, except to say they'd choose for us at approximately $70/pp. The atmosphere was pretentious and loud.. Making it hard to enjoy the overpriced food selections, which were tasty, but lacked presentation or explanation. Overall experience was okay, only because of the company I kept and the beautiful wines we drank. It was definitely an experience, but one I do not think we'd recommend. (don't expect to leave here for less than $100/pp if drinking alcoholic beverages)
We have had a few great meals at Cava. This time around it was a bit busy and very noisy and there was too much waiting between plates. Unfortunate as one of our party had never been there and wouldn’t be inclined to return. I will give them the benefit of the doubt and would come back but maybe ask to sit in the front window section where it may be quieter.
This is a neighbourhood restaurant at the entrance of a small mall. The tables are well spaced, the service is efficient but discrete, the food has pretences. Some flavours are interesting but the Chef should aimed at more authentic and simple fare, perfectly executed.
Came up from the US for a few days and decided to check tjis place out. Tables were packed so close to each other that we could hear the entire conversation at the next table. Noise level can be a problem. The Paella, along with the rest of the menu and wine, are overpriced. I thought for a second that I was dining at NY 5th Ave. Not worth the commute.
The food was exceptionally good. We asked our waiter to make the selections on our behalf and we were impressed with every single dish. The flavours were phenomenal. However, it was quite a wait (more than 45 min) before we got any food on the table. Our waiter was great as a whole but the first hour of service was very very slow. Overall, I would still recommend this restaurant 100%. One side note, some of the patrons were REALLY casually dressed- shorts and Birkenstocks on a Saturday night at a nice restaurant is a bit much in my humble opinion.
I have been to Cava several times over the years. I have always enjoyed their modern creative approach to Spanish food. I found the serving staff knowleadge and informative about food and wine that they are serving. This time it was a birthday dinner for my companion who is also a vegetarian. There were good vegetarians options to choose from and they were equally delicious. When I made the reservation, I left a note to request a special desert for the birthday celebration, the desert was delicious and elegantly presented. Thank you, Cava for another lovely and enjoyable dinner. Look forward to returning soon.
We were very disappointed with our experience. The menu was quite pricey for the quantity of food. Worst yet, the paella had a hair in it. All we were offered was to wait a hour for another one or a full priced bill, no reductions. Regardless of the incident we will not return or recommend based on the overpriced lacklustre food.
