Family reunion, the good and service was wonderful! Great views of the pool deck and mountains beyond in the bright sunshine! Beautiful!
I went to the Christmas buffet and the quality was good for a buffet. The sashimi was really good and the sushi. The turkey and sides were also quite good and the desserts were very good.
The service was excellent
I thought it lacked atmosphere and was too bright. The patio needed more decorations and heaters.
Definitely wouldn’t recommend... place wasn’t busy, took an hour for the food to come, some was wrong, no drink refills. Expensive for what you got.
For the price, we got a so-so falafel sandwich and the waiter never came back to see how we liked the food. We had to wait quite awhile for the check. The mushroom soup was the highlight of the meal.
On October 31, 2018 I booked an early Thanksgiving Buffet for 4 people at 11:30am due to the fact that one of our guests is disabled. When we arrived we were told that their Thanksgiving Buffet didn't start until 2:00 P.M. We were told that we could order off the 'regular' breakfast or lunch menu, but not anything for Thanksgiving! I even called the restaurant to make sure that we would be able to have Turkey and all the fixings and was assured that we could. Other than the hostess, Adrianna, we were treated very rudely by the servers, who even bumped our disabled guest in her head with her plate before she was finished eating. He never even apologized. I was extremely shocked and disappointed, especially since I booked Easter Brunch which was excellent. What happened! Was there a change in management?
Went to the seafood buffet. It was great. The custom pasta chef was a surprise. The desert table with a chocolate fountains was the best. Great bargain.
Seafood buffet was disappointing. The prepared fish dishes were terrible and dried out. The crab claws were very poor quality. More empty shells than crab meat. Shrimps were okay. Much better choices for seafood in the valley.
It’s unfortunate that they don’t have the breakfast brunch or juice bar available during the weekdays this last week of summer. It limits their already limited breakfast menu. The coffee is so incredibly strong and a bit bitter tasting. The prices are extremely high for the value but you are limited on choices since there aren’t many places to eat in the immediate area.
We went for the prime rib buffet and we were not disappointed. Some of the best prime rib I've had in some time--and reasonably priced. Service was great and our waiter was outstanding. All had a good time.
Restaurant for some reason was only serving a buffet and limited lunch style menu at dinner. Management and stuff completely uncommunicative as to why.
We were at a conference here, and because prepaid food was offered that we chose not to get because of your emails advertising the 3 restaurants prior to our arrival, we were extremely disappointed to learn the restaurants had limited menu choices and buffets for almost the cost of the prepaid meals. Had I known this up front, I would have purchased the prepaid meals. It was disappointing to find this out once there and be locked into dining here or eat a soggy boxed sandwich. The greeter at Cava was dismissive and unfriendly - perhaps because we made reservations each night (as recommended by your staff), but when we attempted to let them know we had a reservation, she put her hand up in my friend’s face. She never smiled or said hello. The wait staff were run ragged but did a good job and were somewhat friendly. We ate there three nights in a row because we basically had no other choice and didn’t want to spend the time leaving the hotel when there was a fairly tight schedule of seminars. Very disappointing food experience.
Nice buffet, enjoyable hot food for lunch, poolside dining, great view,
We had a wonderful Mothers Day Brunch The staff were all so friendly and welcoming. We'll be back.
Went for Mother's Day breakfast. French toast~no cinnamon
Mushroom soup was excellent! The amber lemon drop martini also good as was the mojito. But the rest... super subpar. Granted we ate there at their last seating due to the long haul drive in traffic, but would expect that a restaurant that offers late seating would still be up to the task of cooking great food for their guests. The salmon was overcooked and dry, and the ribs were a mouthful of salt. Came here for a birthday dinner and while we received a happy birthday call out upon being seated per the reservation... that was it. Always nice to get even a scoop of ice cream to celebrate. Or the offer of one. Waiters were absolutely checked out and ready to go home. But when spending close to $150 would expect good service and quality food.
When we arrived at CAVA, I was afraid I’d made a big mistake. We chose outdoor dining and there was just a large group of tables sitting around with very little decor, no ambience, etc. However, given that we were tired from our drive, we decided to give it a try, and we’re glad we did. The food was excellent. I had salmon which was excellently prepared, while my husband had a burger which was an 8 oz burger and he said was also excellently prepared. Overall a great meal, especially for weary travelers who didn’t want to go out searching for a restaurant.
Food was very good, best hamburger I've had. Bass was cooked to perfection!
Great breakfast food. The buffet is definitely worth it if you pay for it with the room option, otherwise a little expensive. The service is outstanding. Oscar is the best!
We had steaks and they were very good. Our son had a kids cheeseburger that was outstanding. The meat was very flavorful and the bun had a buttery flavor to it. The interior lacks any kind of decor. It is obviously set up for feeding the mass buffet at breakfast, but we did enjoy dinner there.
We had an amazing Easter brunch! There service was wonderful and for $50 a person the price was right. The oatmeal and pistachio creme brûlée were so delicious. I also loved the $10 bottomless mimosa. This was one of the nicest Easter brunches I have ever been too.
Easter brunch and it was awesome!!
Great dinner on a gorgeous evening. Love the ahi appetizer and the mushroom soup was superb!
Great seafood buffet! Shrimp and crab legs plus great clam chowder. Terrific.
The Friday night seafood buffet is very good and very reasonable. Call ahead for reservations and to make sure that they are serving the buffet. The outside patio is very nice, weather permitting.
Very accommodating and great staff. I wanted salmon without any fat and it was cooked to perfection.
The New Year’s Eve buffet was great- enjoyed the carving station and chilled seafood options as well as the sushi. Of course, the dessert options were plentiful and everyone I tried was perfect.
Took my family for Christmas Day dinner buffet at first seating 4:00 pm. Most of the food was not set out yet. What was out did not have serving utensils. Food was cold. On a more positive note servers were very attentive. We will not come again. We will return to the Hyatt buffet instead
Great place to have lunch poolside. The soup salad and sandwich combos were great.
Great classic eggs benedict! They also have endless mimosa's on Saturdays and Sundays (may be seasonal)
Not much of a buffet selection on Saturday night, unless all you like is prime rib and pasta. Friday nights are great with seafood buffet.
Great food especially for a hotel restaurant. Kind server.
Service was attentive and fast
Food was dreadful
Burgers arrived minutes after ordering and clearly precooked and kept under a warmer
Seafood buffet looked unattractive and neglected
Bar unable to make a dry martini!
Don't eat here unless you arrive late and ate too tired to go out (our reason)
Cava is very convenient after the Desert Town Hall speaker series. The service is very good and the wine list is respectable.
I do not like the shrunken menu and liked it much better when there were more choices such as on the luncheon menu.
First time there.. really enjoyed the buffet. More flavors than expected..Thanks so much.
It's a beautiful setting but the best thing I can say about our experience at this restaurant was the convenience. We were staying at the resort and decided to have dinner here and our server was very nice and attentive but the food was extremely disappointing. We had eaten breakfast here a few days earlier and enjoyed breakfast but we would not be able to recommend for dinner.
My family and I have enjoyed the Christmas buffet for the past 4 years at CAVA. The food has always been very good and we've looked forward to the many delicious food choices offered. This year however, the food quality definitely went down. The cheeses were tasteless as was the crab and the turkey was not the same flavor as in years past. The smoked fish was rubbery and the desserts looked pretty, but we honestly didn't find any that were tasty. We can't comment on any other meals served at CAVA, but after this year, we are sad to say that we'll need to find another place to enjoy our Christmas meals in the future.
Great Christmas buffet. Reasonably priced, nice pool side setting. Server was attentive and pleasant. Would go again on any occasion.
Tried the Friday seafood buffet at 7:30. Place was a ghost town. Some dishes good, some not so much. Attendant very friendly. There is a seafood pasta station, 3 hot seafood (fish) items, cold pasta, California rolls (very good), cheeses, vegetables, desserts. Nicely laid out. I was satisfied. This is the hotel's main restaurant with inside and outside seating.
Friday evening they have a seafood buffet that is excellent.
